RE is a series that I wish I could get more into, but I'm generally terrible at resource management. I don't know what's OK to kill and what you have to leave alive (in order to not run out of ammo), so the idea of having to constantly restart from the beginning because I don't know the rules kind of deters me.
@Aquinas In the end, people would prefer to see companies oversaturate an IP until it's overexposed and run aground, though, because that way it still "looks like the publisher cares", superficially.
What I've always wondered is : How well does this work for non-Fighters?
Like, I'm always looking for a better controller (and have a Hori Fighting Commander coming in the mail today) to play various Arcade Archives titles with (especially STGs).
Just none of the previous collections (Castlevania, Contra, TMNT) Konami has put out has PS2 ports in them at all, so they weren't going to start this time.
@bones PS5s weren't readily available where I live until a little while after the release of the Slim.
As far as the Switch 2 goes, I think I probably could have been able to get one by now had I lived closer to the one store that keeps getting restocks, and if they didn't restock on Thursdays.
Is there any name that screams "ORIGINAL CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL" more than "Unika"?
Like, seriously?
And yeah, I know, that's par for the course for GG, considering Sol's whole thing is "What if Daisuke Ishiwatari was Freddie Mercury?", but still, yeesh.
Not sure how I feel about this. There are some games that I'd bought digital that much, much (sometimes years) later, I ended up buying physical. But now that I have more space I'd kind of rather re-install the digital (no, I would not get rid of my physical copy). It doesn't seem like I can do that now.
@Joekun A big theme on the Hookshot Media sites (especially Time Extension) lately is how discussion must be De-Americanized, so don't expect that phrasing to change any.
Been wrestling with picking up the Switch version of Super Robot Wars 30. If it'll become impossible to buy the DLC (eg : if they eventually stop producing eShop Cards), it might not be worth it.
@Mariotag Not lost. Couldn't use it. Nintendo funded Namco to develop the GCN version, so Namco(-Bandai) had to base all re-releases off the PS2 version, which only ran at 30 FPS.

Re: Review: Caves Of Qud (Switch) - A Roguelike About Making Stories Through Unfathomable Systemic Interactions
Between this and Moonring DX, we're finally getting "Old PC-Style Game" style games on the old Switch.
Re: "We Thought It Would Be Fun" - Nintendo Explains Why Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen Aren't On Switch Online
I think sometimes it's forgotten that not everybody subscribes to NSO.
And probably a lesser percentage still once it's NSO+Expansion Pack.
Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Officially Revealed For Switch
I actually prefer it not be on NSO, since I've never bought an online subscription for any console.
Re: Hamster's 'Console Archives' Starting Lineup Revealed, Includes More Than 10 Titles
I understand why they're so high on everyone's wishlists, but I don't see Square and Enix RPGs being part of this.

Re: Interview: "Kids Don't Like Being Treated Like Kids" - How 4PGP Is Harnessing The Power Of Sega Rally's Director To Challenge Mario Kart
@ArcadeRacingCENTRAL It really feels like nL asked that question to be needlessly divisive.
(And if saying that gets me in trouble with Hookshot Media, so be it.)
Re: Interview: "Kids Don't Like Being Treated Like Kids" - How 4PGP Is Harnessing The Power Of Sega Rally's Director To Challenge Mario Kart
Honestly, I'm not even sure why they asked a question about Mario Kart when this game isn't an item-based kart racer.
Re: Interview: "Kids Don't Like Being Treated Like Kids" - How 4PGP Is Harnessing The Power Of Sega Rally's Director To Challenge Mario Kart
Is it too much to ask for this to finally be the Super Monaco GP successor I've always wanted?

Please, none of the Meidos.
Re: Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream Nintendo Direct: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate It?
Had mostly been under the impression that the series was mostly just Miis being put into random skits.
I think I'd have liked that more than something more like The Sims. Never really been very interested in The Sims.

Now that we've got JAM Project :
Alex in Super Robot Wars when?
Re: Alex Turns Heel As 'The Man With No Allies' In Street Fighter 6 Trailer
Virtua Fighter turned Wolf heel, now SF is following suit by turning Alex.
Though, it's honestly kind of brilliant since every time he appears, there seems to be fan backlash.

Re: Supply Of Switch Hardware Will Continue If Enough Demand Persists
@dskatter The Game Key-Cards are a dealbreaker for some people.
As for me, I know I'll eventually have to get a 2 because my original Switch won't last forever.
But hopefully by then high-capacity SD Express cards will be plentiful and affordable.

Infinos 1 and 2, but no Infinos Gaiden?
(For those who don't know, the Infinos series is made by the same programmer who made Andro Dunos 2.)

Really wish it wasn't LRG.

Re: Poll: How Many New Games Do You Buy In A Year?
Math says somewhere between 40-45 Physical Switch titles a year (not always at full new price, though), no idea about digital...
If it has to be "Day One", though, it's probably Zero.

@romanista Not a rights problem, no.

Re: Review: Gradius Origins (Switch) - An Almost-Perfect Package For Shoot 'Em Up Fans
Gaiden and ReBirth really needed to be here (there was never any chance of IV and V), but what's there is still good.
Nemesis 90 'Kai (or the PSP version of MSX Gradius 2 from Salamander Portable, with the smooth scrolling) should have been there too, honestly.

Re: Sakurai Says Japanese Developers Should Avoid Trying To Appeal To Western Tastes
I mostly just prefer when devs aren't trying to chase Hollywood and I'd prefer they not try to structure their games like movies.
I don't want a ton of long cutscenes or extended sequences with little-to-no-gameplay at this point in my life.
