Gonna break a stereotype here : The ultra-fast, "schmoovement tech", over-stimulation sub-genre of Indie FPS games just isn't for me. I watched my (not-quite-BF)'s brother stream this, and it almost gave me motion sickness just watching.
Only thing about Rushing Beat X is that it seems to act like The Peace Keepers/Rushing Beat Shura never happened, going back to the cast of Rushing Beat Ran.
@BlaizeV So should Symphonia, but as long as Bamco is stuck using the PS2 codebase (because Nintendo owns the code to the GCN version due to funding that version)...
RE is a series that I wish I could get more into, but I'm generally terrible at resource management. I don't know what's OK to kill and what you have to leave alive (in order to not run out of ammo), so the idea of having to constantly restart from the beginning because I don't know the rules kind of deters me.
@Aquinas In the end, people would prefer to see companies oversaturate an IP until it's overexposed and run aground, though, because that way it still "looks like the publisher cares", superficially.
What I've always wondered is : How well does this work for non-Fighters?
Like, I'm always looking for a better controller (and have a Hori Fighting Commander coming in the mail today) to play various Arcade Archives titles with (especially STGs).

Re: Street Fighter 6's Next DLC Fighter Joins The Battle In "Late Spring" 2026
Ingrid is Capcom's version of "Make Fetch Happen".
Meanwhile her fellow Capcom 3D Fighting All-Stars characters Luke (unrelated to SF5/6 Luke) and DD were never seen again.
Re: Feature: The Best (And Most Cursed) Tomodachi Life Miis We've Seen So Far
I have seen far worse horrors, ones beyond mortal comprehension.
But I shall not name and shame the perpetrator, much as I may want to.
Re: Classic Shmup 'Truxton' Returns After Nearly 35 Years On Switch 2
I'm sure everyone's already said it, but someone inform Mark Bussler.
Re: Fox McCloud's Voice Actor For The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Has Been Confirmed
@StewdaMegaManNerd Illumination is definitely aiming for an eventual Smash Bros. movie.
Whether Nintendo eventually greenlights it or not is still up in the air.

Re: Hands On: Pokémon Champions Promises Top-Tier Battling, But At What Cost?
Was hoping for some form of offline/CPU play, because online-only is always a total no from me.
Re: Nintendo Download: 19th March (North America)
Only thing about Rushing Beat X is that it seems to act like The Peace Keepers/Rushing Beat Shura never happened, going back to the cast of Rushing Beat Ran.
Re: Review: 8BitDo 64 Controller For Switch 1 & 2 - A Worthy Alternative To Nintendo's N64 Pad
Mostly just looking for something that'd be adequate enough to use with the MiSTer's N64 core.
So maybe I could finally play Wave Race all these years later.
Re: Beloved Machine-Building Puzzler 'Opus Magnum' Finally Arrives On Switch
Zachtronics' games seem like they'd basically be impossible for anyone who isn't already extremely good at math and programming.
Re: Saudi Investment Firm Acquires A Significant Number Of Capcom Shares
@swoose I have a feeling, being a Saudi National (him, not me), he wouldn't have approved of the FGC.
Probably not helpful or prudent on my part to go any deeper into that, though.
Re: Saudi Investment Firm Acquires A Significant Number Of Capcom Shares
@rjejr Objection : It takes more training and talent to be a clown than it does to be him.
Re: Saudi Investment Firm Acquires A Significant Number Of Capcom Shares
@FancyJehuty Don't forget that they already got what they wanted most : the 2034 World Cup.
They're trying to behave to make sure it doesn't get taken away from them.
Re: Saudi Investment Firm Acquires A Significant Number Of Capcom Shares
The weak Yen is unfortunately leaving Japanese publishers vulnerable to being snatched up.
Re: Mario Kart World Hori Racing Wheels Releasing For Switch 2 This Month
@dsparil And even though now we've got another GRID game on Switch 2, it's probably going to be the same issue, digital only...
Re: Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Gets A Switch 2 Release, Free Upgrade "Coming Soon"
Hmmm. The only thing I wonder about with free upgrades is if they mean you can still only have them on one system.
I would have needed a 2TB MicroSD Express card in order to move all of my Switch 1 stuff to Switch 2, so I didn't do that.
Re: "The Flavour Tends To Get Lost" - Dragon Quest's Yuji Horii On English Translations
@KingMike The part of the Lunar localization that took me right out of it was the Guns 'n Roses reference.
Re: "The Flavour Tends To Get Lost" - Dragon Quest's Yuji Horii On English Translations
I mean, I get it. You're not going to run into the whole "when do I use 'wa' and when do I use 'ga'?" issue in English.

Re: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Gets Yet Another New Poster, And It's Jam-Packed With Details
@NintendoWife Clawgrip.
Re: Review: Tales Of Berseria Remastered (Switch) - QoL Tweaks Make A Brilliant Game Even Better
@MARl0 PS5 version will run at the proper framerate.
(Yes, I know this isn't Push Square.)
Re: Review: Tales Of Berseria Remastered (Switch) - QoL Tweaks Make A Brilliant Game Even Better
@gcunit Because a game where the battle system is dependent on timing needs to be running at a minimum of 60 FPS.
Cutting the framerate in half makes hitting timing-based attacks or defense more difficult.
It wouldn't matter as much for a purely turn-based game, but this isn't that.
Re: Review: Tales Of Berseria Remastered (Switch) - QoL Tweaks Make A Brilliant Game Even Better
@FX29 PS5 seems to generally be their platform of preference.
I know that's blasphemy to say on the Nintendo side of Hookshot's family of sites, but...
Re: Review: Tales Of Berseria Remastered (Switch) - QoL Tweaks Make A Brilliant Game Even Better
"Even Better"
-30fps. (And yeah, I know, that's all the effort anyone's going to put in for the Switch now)
I mean, that automatically makes it worse.
Re: Review: Pokémon Pokopia (Switch 2) - One Of The Most Enticing Pokémon Games Ever
...Omega Force?
Making something that's NOT a Musou game (other than the first Winback)?
Re: Pokémon Winds & Waves Announced For Switch 2, Launching Next Year
How many people are going to name their Pombon "Missile"?
Re: Review: Resident Evil Requiem (Switch 2) - Action And Horror Combine In A Series Highlight
RE is a series that I wish I could get more into, but I'm generally terrible at resource management. Re: Review: Caves Of Qud (Switch) - A Roguelike About Making Stories Through Unfathomable Systemic Interactions
Between this and Moonring DX, we're finally getting "Old PC-Style Game" style games on the old Switch.
Re: "We Thought It Would Be Fun" - Nintendo Explains Why Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen Aren't On Switch Online
I think sometimes it's forgotten that not everybody subscribes to NSO.
And probably a lesser percentage still once it's NSO+Expansion Pack.
Re: Pokémon FireRed And LeafGreen Officially Revealed For Switch
I actually prefer it not be on NSO, since I've never bought an online subscription for any console.
Re: Hamster's 'Console Archives' Starting Lineup Revealed, Includes More Than 10 Titles
I understand why they're so high on everyone's wishlists, but I don't see Square and Enix RPGs being part of this.

Re: Interview: "Kids Don't Like Being Treated Like Kids" - How 4PGP Is Harnessing The Power Of Sega Rally's Director To Challenge Mario Kart
@ArcadeRacingCENTRAL It really feels like nL asked that question to be needlessly divisive.
(And if saying that gets me in trouble with Hookshot Media, so be it.)
Re: Interview: "Kids Don't Like Being Treated Like Kids" - How 4PGP Is Harnessing The Power Of Sega Rally's Director To Challenge Mario Kart
Honestly, I'm not even sure why they asked a question about Mario Kart when this game isn't an item-based kart racer.
Re: Interview: "Kids Don't Like Being Treated Like Kids" - How 4PGP Is Harnessing The Power Of Sega Rally's Director To Challenge Mario Kart
Is it too much to ask for this to finally be the Super Monaco GP successor I've always wanted?
Re: Mega Man: Dual Override Robot Master Design Contest - Top 20 Designs Revealed, Voting Now Open
Please, none of the Meidos.
Re: Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream Nintendo Direct: Every Announcement - How Would You Rate It?
Had mostly been under the impression that the series was mostly just Miis being put into random skits.
I think I'd have liked that more than something more like The Sims. Never really been very interested in The Sims.
Re: Street Fighter 6's Next DLC Character Arrives This March, First-Look Gameplay Trailer Released
Now that we've got JAM Project :
Alex in Super Robot Wars when?
Re: Alex Turns Heel As 'The Man With No Allies' In Street Fighter 6 Trailer
Virtua Fighter turned Wolf heel, now SF is following suit by turning Alex.
Though, it's honestly kind of brilliant since every time he appears, there seems to be fan backlash.

Re: Supply Of Switch Hardware Will Continue If Enough Demand Persists
@dskatter The Game Key-Cards are a dealbreaker for some people.
As for me, I know I'll eventually have to get a 2 because my original Switch won't last forever.
But hopefully by then high-capacity SD Express cards will be plentiful and affordable.
Re: Nintendo Download: 16th October (North America)
Infinos 1 and 2, but no Infinos Gaiden?
(For those who don't know, the Infinos series is made by the same programmer who made Andro Dunos 2.)
Re: R-Type Delta: HD Boosted Is Getting A Sweet Physical Edition For Switch
Really wish it wasn't LRG.
I don't like dealing with their "You don't know if they're ever going to ship your copy" roulette.
Re: Poll: How Many New Games Do You Buy In A Year?
Math says somewhere between 40-45 Physical Switch titles a year (not always at full new price, though), no idea about digital...
If it has to be "Day One", though, it's probably Zero.
Re: Nintendo Of America President Doug Bowser Announces Retirement
@ShieldHero If Reggie was as cool as people thought he was, every system would have come with a free Bigfoot Pizza.
Re: Sunsoft Has A "Major Announcement" To Share Next Week

Re: Star Ocean: First Departure R Limited Run Physical Switch Release Announced
I do like the 1st game, even this version of it, but it is pretty short...
Re: Review: SHINOBI: Art Of Vengeance (Switch) - A Beautifully Crafted Return For Joe Musashi
I'm not sure how I feel about the Air Dash. I know that every game needs it for "schmoovement tech" now, but it wasn't part of the 16-bit games...

Re: Mini Review: Arcade Archives 2: Aqua Jet (Switch 2) - Classic Aquatic Racer Lags Behind Wave Race
@IceClimbersMain Cyber Commando would be the most unique System 22 title they could give us, so I'm hoping for that one.
Re: Review: Gradius Origins (Switch) - An Almost-Perfect Package For Shoot 'Em Up Fans
@GetterImpact Might be due to Treasure and G.Rev's contract work on it.
