I normally am completely turned off by "fanservice" sort of stuff out-of-hand, but I've played the PS4 version of this and the gameplay isn't bad at all.
@depooter The Previous 4 M2 ShotTrigGers titles have all been for PS4.
The first two (Battle Garegga and Dangun Feveron) both got digital western releases. The other two (Mahou Daisakusen and Ketsui Kizunajigokutachi) have been left to rot.
If M2 has lost interest in bringing the M2STG series over, it's not going to magically change "because Switch now".
That's why the Southeast Asia version is completely in English. It's much cheaper to acquire all the licenses for the constituent shows in that region.
Bandai-Namco have even said (with a "wink wink, nudge nudge") that despite being Asia Region, they're designed to be imported by Anglophone gamers in North America and Europe.
If Microsoft wants to unperson him for being insufficiently woke, that's their prerogative.
However, I don't really think that there should be a requirement for people to be woke (PC, Far-Left, what have you), but in the age of where a brand's momentum lives and dies by the Twitter Mob...
@Baart Sort of. I'm sure I'll get some massive backlash for this, but I seem to remember there being some controversy when NetherRealm and WB first tried to get Injustice released in the Middle East?
If they want to be able to sell their product in that region without issue, then they're going to have to comply with their modesty standards.
@JaxonH I think it has something to do with not wanting to get their product banned in those countries.
@Lizuka I can tell the difference between 30 and 60 (or in the case of this game, 25 and 50, heh. Come on, we're in the HD era, no need to develop for PAL Hz anymore).
What I CAN'T do, is COUNT individual frames, like Tournament-Level Fighting Game players can.
@oji At the same time, this may be useful for people who aren't any good at self-teaching to maybe learn beginning coding concepts.
In the end, no, it's not going to train anybody up to a professional level, but it doesn't hurt to have utilities out there that might help to demystify the concept of writing code to those of us (like me) who would otherwise be helpless when left to their own devices to have to self-teach not just a language, but the very concept of coding itself.
IF they add more games to the Castlevania collection (and I'm not 100% sure they will, despite the popular assumptions), I actually hope that Castlevania X68K is one of them. It's different enough from the NES version to warrant it, IMO.

Re: The Mega Drive Mini Ships With A Version Of Tetris We Were Never Meant To Play
@impurekind In the livestream, they were playing the System 16 version instead, so maybe it'll end up being that.
Re: Mega Drive Mini Games List: All 42 Titles Revealed
We.
Got.
F***ed.
Out.
Of.
MUSHA.
Thanks, Sega.
Light Crusader, Kid Chameleon, and Alex Kidd are garbage.

Re: John Vignocchi Leaves Gearbox And Joins Nintendo Of America
I'm sure it's been said 1,000 times by now, but nobody wants to be anywhere near Randy Pitchford right now.
Re: Star Ocean: First Departure R Announced For Nintendo Switch
I mean the first one's only about 15 hours long, but ok...

Won't be hitting the west, then.
The past two M2 ShotTriggers (Ketsui Kizunajigokutachi and Mahou Daisakusen) are still Japan-only.
Re: Sega Mega Drive Mini Games List: 10 More Titles Revealed
@aaronsullivan MUSHA is probably THE single most important release, since a legit loose cartridge runs around $350-500+ these days.
Re: Review: Super Robot Wars T - Enjoyable Tactical Mecha Goodness For Returning Fans And Newcomers Alike
@GameOtaku None of those had to have licenses paid for.
And that said, OGs, OG Gaiden, and 2nd OG all got passed over.
They didn't even get an Asia Region translation.
Re: Review: Super Robot Wars T - Enjoyable Tactical Mecha Goodness For Returning Fans And Newcomers Alike
@GameOtaku Not going to happen.
V didn't.
X didn't.
OG Moon Dwellers didn't.
And those are all the ones from the "Easier Access Translation" era.

@60frames-please Absolutely Zero.

@Pablo17 You'd likely need a Malaysia account.
Re: Tetris 99 Big Block DLC Adds Two New Offline Game Modes
Now how about TGM rules, Arika?
Re: Sega Will Reduce Number Of New Digital Releases After Facing $17 Million Loss
@Tao When they say "Existing Franchises", that probably just means 10,000 more Yakuza games and spinoffs.
Re: Sega Will Reduce Number Of New Digital Releases After Facing $17 Million Loss
Welp. Say goodbye to Atlus.
Re: Talking Point: Not Appealing To Gamers First Is A Dangerous Strategy For The Sonic Movie
@chiptoon If they were going to do that, they'd have done fur-lined spandex and a prosthetic nose with small animatronics in it.
You go uncanny valley, you go full uncanny valley.

May as well collect my "5+" dislikes on this.

Re: Gearbox's Randy Pitchford Would "Love" To See Borderlands On Switch
Oh joy, another game where I'm finally used to it at 60FPS having to drop back down to 30 or less...
Now, if they can somehow get it to run 60FPS on Switch, then I'd be in.
Re: Guide: How To Buy Nintendo Switch Games From The Japanese eShop - Region Free Accounts
@MarcelRguez I've seen articles that say Darius isn't on the Japanese eShop, though.
Re: Fan Creates Homemade Switch Mini Console, Beating Nintendo To The Punch
Kind of looks like it was wrapped up in colored duct tape.
Re: Don’t Expect A Skies Of Arcadia Port Or Sequel Anytime Soon
@Nomad I know nobody wants to hear this, but I don't think every good game needs to have sequels.
And especially not every JRPG needs to have sequels.

I'll apologize, but as someone who actually likes Musou games, this is absolutely, gloriously hilarious to me.

@Tendogamerxxx
But how are you going to brag about your gigantic collection on Twitter and YouTube, then?
Re: Sega Mega Drive Mini Launches Worldwide This September, 10 More Games Revealed Today
I'm not gonna lie, I kind of wish this thing was nothing but Shoot-em-ups.
Re: Sega Mega Drive Mini Launches Worldwide This September, 10 More Games Revealed Today
MUSHA for Japan only, huh?
Fire whoever's in charge of the Western version.
Re: Capcom's Big Announcement Is A Plug-And-Play Arcade Stick Packed With Classic Games
If it's going to be exclusively CPS-2 stuff, hopefully the D&D games will end up on it.
And Dimahoo, hopefully.
Re: Xenon Racer To Receive Three Free Content Updates
@Primarina Racing games should never be less than 60.
Sadly, even the PS4 version of this apparently hovers around only 50.
Re: Soapbox: I Don't 'Get' Smash Bros. And I Just Don't Know Why
I can't really get into it either.
The movement just feels 'off'. It always has. I can't ever come to grips with moving the character around on the stage.
Everybody feels too small, too light, too fast. Even the "big" characters like Donkey Kong.
Re: Japanese Trailers Show Off More Details Of The Upcoming Sega Mega Drive Mini
Keep Puyo Puyo Tsuu on the Western versions, You Cowards.
Re: Review: Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid - A Promising Fighter Undone By Publisher Greed
looks at Gundam Versus on PS4 and it's $150+ worth of DLC playable mobile suits
Nope. Still the king of bull DLC.

@Zerocritic The Vita only exists so that you can show off your Limited Run Games collection with the "VitaIsland" hashtag on Twitter.
Re: Talking Point: Xenon Racer Is Just The Tip Of The Iceberg For Falsely Advertised Games On Switch
@Lizuka The framerate is the real problem.

Damn it, Konami.
Time Pilot? Gyruss? Xexex? Green Beret?

@retro_player_22 Universal Wrestling Corporation.

@TheFanatic And it's already been promised to go to some YouTube personality.

It might be helpful for all the ACA Neo-Geo stuff I have, but I still can't bring myself to buy one.
Re: Poll Confirms That Sobble Is The Most Popular Pokémon Sword And Shield Starter
Pretty much always pick Fire to start (except in Black/White, where I went with Water).
Though this gen, Grass leads to multiple obvious lame thinly veiled song references ("Grass Monkey", "Grookey Gang", etc.)
Re: Gallery: A Complete Breakdown Of The Pokémon Sword And Shield Trailer
Galar seems... Scottish, I suppose.
Re: God Of War's Art Director Is Still Posting Incredible Realistic Smash Ultimate Designs
Eh, it's nice to see a Peach that doesn't look like a crossplayer doing Animegao/Kigurumi, like the "official" Nintendo art does.
