Re: Review: Collection of Mana - Expensive, But Ultimately Worth Every Penny

@DarthFoxMcCloud If you want to play it now, go ahead and get digital. Don't worry so much about the slings and arrows from the "Every time somebody buys digital, it's making it so that publishers won't produce physical games for real collectors, and some day they're going to stealth-delete it from your system!" crowd.

There are other people who already bought it digital, so that die is already cast.

@Panopticon It's a janky platformer where the real cart is dirt cheap.

Slap Fight or MUSHA would provide more value (especially for those not inclined to drop $300-500 US on an actual MUSHA cart).

And there are much better Sega-published platformers than Kid Chameleon that didn't make the release (Jewel Master, Pulseman, Ristar)

@depooter The Previous 4 M2 ShotTrigGers titles have all been for PS4.

The first two (Battle Garegga and Dangun Feveron) both got digital western releases. The other two (Mahou Daisakusen and Ketsui Kizunajigokutachi) have been left to rot.

If M2 has lost interest in bringing the M2STG series over, it's not going to magically change "because Switch now".

@60frames-please Absolutely Zero.

That's why the Southeast Asia version is completely in English. It's much cheaper to acquire all the licenses for the constituent shows in that region.

Bandai-Namco have even said (with a "wink wink, nudge nudge") that despite being Asia Region, they're designed to be imported by Anglophone gamers in North America and Europe.

@Baart Sort of. I'm sure I'll get some massive backlash for this, but I seem to remember there being some controversy when NetherRealm and WB first tried to get Injustice released in the Middle East?

If they want to be able to sell their product in that region without issue, then they're going to have to comply with their modesty standards.

@JaxonH I think it has something to do with not wanting to get their product banned in those countries.
