@KingMike That was Galaxian^3 (and its follow-up, Attack of the Zolgear), that had the "impossible" cabinet. It came in two flavors, the absolutely gigantic one that was only at Namco's Wonder Egg facilities, and the significantly smaller (but still large) 6-person units that showed up in Namco-owned arcades all over.
And yet, Namco made an attempt to port Galaxian^3 to the PS1 all the same.
@Yorumi Where would I look for such "beginner" material? It's not so helpful to just say "Google it" (and I'm not saying that you did, but most probably would just tell me that), because that would imply that I should know exactly what to type into the search field.
I can't program (I won't say code, because I feel that's reserved for those who actually have the skills), and there are so many languages that I don't even know where to start. I want to be able to do it, though, because I feel like I'm the only person on the internet who doesn't know how to at all...
@Moroboshi876 More of a "Second Part" because they added mechanics make it play more like a fighting game, with stricter execution timing, and meter management (the special meter is also used for picking a missed lob up off to the ground when in the first game there's no way to do that). The execution barrier to be decent at this is MUCH higher than it was in the original.
@Madskillz19 The Devs had actually been complaining on Twitter that nobody was streaming or reviewing it, a while back. They were hinting that it was for discriminatory reasons, though.
@ieatdragonz There are a couple videos out there called "The Worst Best Friend" that basically rips this series a new one and lays all the narrative flaws bare to the world.
As much as I'm disappointed in the typical "It's the Switch, gotta cut it down to 30 FPS" treatment, I was still planning on getting this, but cheaping out on the card size and having a required download is making me think twice. My Micro SD card doesn't have a whole lot of space left and it's getting to the point where bigger ones are going to cost more than I want to spend.
@UndoControl I agree with this. There needs to be a place for simpler tools that are going to help people with no art or coding skills begin to understand the basic logic, and the more complex you make it, the more you shove those people out.
@ViridianVoodoo Black Isle just mentioned it's not coming out for the Switch today. They had an issue getting it on the eShop, and it's going to take them some time to get worked out.
I unfortunately had to get rid of a lot of packaging for a lot of my games (PS1, PS2, Dreamcast) in various moves when moving into smaller places where I just didn't have the room.
And I've had people tell me : "If you don't have the room to keep the packaging, then sell your games to someone who does, because you don't deserve them."
@UmbreonsPapa I would have been interested (though, mind you, I'm only half-black, so I'm not sure how much my words count) when I was younger, but I wasn't good enough at math and my high school did not offer coding classes. My father didn't want me going to college because I wasn't great at math, but I eventually convinced him to let me at least attend the local community college...
...only for them to tell me I wasn't good enough at math qualify for any coding classes and I'd have to make up 6 math prerequisites (at the time, so many people wanted to take those classes that they set the prerequisites insanely high in order to keep people out) to be allowed to take any.
I ended up dropping out because my dream was dead (and I've never been able to self-teach).
@BRAINFOX I don't know if it's still the case, but there was a time (or at least the perception of a time) where they'd reserve a significant portion of their print run for 'influencers' and such, making it much harder for people to acquire them.
@JayJ The other edge of the sword there is, as soon as it does release (if it ever does), all the hardcore shoot-em-up fanatics will complain about how the Switch has too much lag for shoot-em-ups to be playable on.
Hamster is really starting to bug me here. Why do they keep holding off on Raiden? They really gonna let Wiz be the only Seibu Kaihatsu title they put out?

Re: Pac-Land Is The Next Arcade Archives Game Coming To Switch
@HammerGalladeBro No. Because of the AtGames/GCC legal issues, Ms. Pac-Man has been edited into a different character
Re: Review: .hack//G.U. Last Recode - Intriguing But Ageing PS2 ARPGs Get A Solid Remaster
@Arawn93 If anything, I'd find Haseo's player's previous identity to be a lot more edgelord-y than his one in GU/Roots.
Re: Andro Dunos 2 - A Knockout Shmup Success That Nails The '90s Arcade Feel
Infinos Gaiden (from the same developer) was pretty good, so I've got my hopes up for this being good, too.

Re: Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash Adding "Next Generation Of Netcode" In April Update
Would be nice if they'd add the actual original Fighting Layer cast to the game (both versions) some day, though...
Re: Will The Zelda-Style 'Tunic' Come To Nintendo Switch? Let's Hope So
I mean, I suppose I'm kinda obligated, huh?
Re: Review: Maglam Lord - Great Characters And Writing, But Grindy, Repetitive Combat
Was hoping to see some action screenshots instead of just the VN parts...

No mention of Radirgy Swag? For shame!

Naramura? Sold.
Re: Another Namco Title Has Joined Hamster's Arcade Archives On Switch
Would have rather had Grobda than this.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Final Fighter Is... Kingdom Hearts' Sora!
But, then, I wanted them to go full Chaos Mode and put in Mike Jones from StarTropics, confusing the hecc out of the Japanese fanbase.
Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Final Fighter Is... Kingdom Hearts' Sora!
@Bluerangervegeta The Developer who wanted to secure the popular character that has the same name as his Development Team.
Re: Cave's Shmup Espgaluda II Is Targeting A September Switch Release In Japan
@DashKappei I kind of wish XIIZeal and Deltazeal would just be given their original names (XII Stag and G-Stream G2020) back.

And I've had people tell me : "If you don't have the room to keep the packaging, then sell your games to someone who does, because you don't deserve them."
But I feel that's too harsh.

Re: Random: Reggie Responds To Yet More Requests For Mother 3 In Typical Reggie Fashion
OK, but when are you gonna bring back the Bigfoot Pizza, Reggie?
Re: Balan Wonderworld Is Getting A Suspicious Amount Of 10/10 Metacritic User Reviews
@Sam_Loser2 Absolutely.
More games should be Egregious.
Re: Poll: Monster Hunter Rise Is Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting It?
I want to try it, but I never have the patience for the tutorial levels in this series, and I hate the BBQ Spit mechanic.
So I never end up being able to get into it.
Re: Review: Kaze And The Wild Masks - A Brilliant Homage To Donkey Kong Country
@Rockman55 It's the theme song of professional wrestler Minoru Suzuki, the most miserable old man in all the earth.
Re: Review: Kaze And The Wild Masks - A Brilliant Homage To Donkey Kong Country
Haha, did we get a Minoru Suzuki reference in this review?
Re: Best Game Boy Advance RPGs
I was almost hoping, seeing Kimimi was handling the list, that it was going to be only the remaining untranslated titles.
Re: "Several" Square Enix Remakes Are In Development At Polish Studio Forever Entertainment
Hmmm. Keeping in mind that old Eidos franchises belong to S-E...
I'm gonna say Legacy of Kain.
Re: Talking Point: What We're Hoping To See In Today's Nintendo Direct
As far as 3rd Party goes, mostly just want a solid date for Capcom Arcade Stadium.
Re: Review: Turrican Flashback - An Annoyingly Incomplete Collection That's Still Worth A Look
Old and Busted : "Can it run Crysis?"
New Hotness : "Does it have Super Turrican 2?"

@benjamouth For whatever reason, the NA ACA releases are listed the week after they come out, despite Europe having them listed for the proper week.

Re: The Next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter Will Be Revealed During The Game Awards
@nessisonett If you're really trying to piss off the ch*ds, have Anita Sarkeesian do it.
Re: The Next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter Will Be Revealed During The Game Awards
@nessisonett I actually kind of think they might just do that.
Otherwise, there'd be no point of doing it at The Game Awards.
Re: Nintendo Download: 8th October (North America)
Legend of the Blue Warrior is a kinda not-so-great remake of the old MSX game "Knightmare".
Re: Hamster Announces More Than 15 Games For The Arcade Archives Series On Switch
@JayJ It's starting to feel like they're never going to get around to Raiden.
Re: It's Official, Monster Hunter Rise Confirmed For Nintendo Switch
I'm not much of a Monster Hunter fan, but Rideable doggos?
That's tempting.
Re: Earth Defense Force Joins Hamster's Arcade Archives Collection This Week
Hamster is really starting to bug me here. Why do they keep holding off on Raiden? They really gonna let Wiz be the only Seibu Kaihatsu title they put out?
Re: Here Are The 36 Games You'll Get On Sega's Astro City Mini Console

Re: 8BitDo Reveals Its New Customisable Arcade Stick For Nintendo Switch, Pre-Orders Now Live
Doesn't Wireless Latency defeat the whole purpose of using an Arcade Stick?
Re: Collection Of SaGa Brings The Final Fantasy Legend Trilogy To Switch This December
Kind of a shame they can't include localization of the WonderSwan port of the 1st, or the DS ports of the 2nd and 3rd.
Re: Nintendo Download: 30th July (North America)
Kind of sad that City Connection decided not to release Hoshi wo Miru Hito worldwide after all.
Would have been worth it just for the sheer WTF value.
