Not expecting Saturn games to hit the Switch, I'm just not.
My guess is they're looking at more Genesis/MD titles that never had an official translation (Pulseman, Surging Aura, Rent-A-Hero, maybe King Colossus if there's not a licensing issue).
Forgetting the "localization" part, it'd be interesting to see more of their arcade games be released. Super GT (aka Scud Race) would be nice.
@Shiryu I was about to say. I know that the recent PC Cyber Formula GPX game was a completely different dev team than the GC one, but this trailer reminded me mostly of that, just with higher production values.
I'd like to say that people need to take a step back and not freak out every time some form of media doesn't cater to whatever their big issue is, but let's face it, nobody wants to hear that.
@Arnold-Kage Not likely, since they're not the developers in that case. Rune Factory AND Lufia are both developed by Neverland, and the franchises in Japan are owned by different publishers; Marvelous AQ for Rune Factory, and Taito (Square-Enix) for Lufia.
Natsume may have bought the western rights to the names, but it'd be up to the original devs (and the Japanese publishers) to put out something authentic first.
OK, so all that's left unpublished after this batch is the Visco stuff (Breakers, Neo Drift-Out, Ganryu, etc.) and the Technos Japan stuff (Gowcaizer, Super Dodge Ball, etc.)?
Really, the PS Classic's lineup should have been entirely of Japanese-developed games.
And been loaded with shoot-em-ups from top to bottom.
Philosoma, Raiden Project, Gradius Gaiden, Night Raid, G. Darius, Gunbird, Two-Tenkaku, Geki-Oh Shienryu, R-Type Delta, Xevious 3D/G+, RayStorm, Einhander, Gaia Seed, Sonic Wings Special, even the dodgy, blurry port of DoDonPachi.
@retro_player_22 No such thing as "too many shooters (never been a fan of the term "shmup")", especially when there's nothing from Toaplan, Compile, Cave, Eighting/Raizing, or Seibu Kaihatsu available yet.
@pizzanuggs Because people have this complex about having to appear "smarter" than everyone else (or failing that, appear the most aggro), and it just descends into self-satisfied smug sniping that accomplishes less than nothing.
If you're in the US, however, the US Version of Puzzle Bobble 2 ("Bust A Move Again") has bizarre editing where the Bubble Bobble characters are replaced with a generic-looking hand.
At some point, Sega needs to be comprehensive about getting more of their Genesis/MD-era IPs into these collections (not going to mention 3rd party stuff at all, for obvious reasons).
Even without S3&K, there's still way too much they keep passing up :
-Jewel Master -Pulseman -ThunderForce 2, 3, and 4 (and yeah, 4 is a Sega Ages release, but it would keep things mostly comprehensive, since Sega owns TechnoSoft's IPs now) -Elemental Master -Super Monaco GP -Arrow Flash -Ranger X -G-LOC -Mystic Defender (assuming enough of the license has been stripped out that it wouldn't cost them)
And really, even just adding those would make it feel like there wouldn't be any huge glaring holes.
I personally like Savage Reign, but I don't begrudge anybody s***ting all over it. It's stiff, special motions can be a little unintuitive, and not really tournament-worthy, if that's a requirement for some people.
It's pretty much going to be the same as it was on PS4 and Vita.
I also would have preferred an ACA NeoGeo version (and I'm almost NEVER snobbish about these sorts of things), but being as I'm pretty sure it's one of the properties owned by Paon instead of G-Mode (and G-Mode owned Data East properties usually end up as part of the "Johnny Turbo" line anyway), it's also not surprising.

@ReaderRagfihs Not liking anything (and that extends beyond video games) is kind of his thing.
Re: Review: Etrian Odyssey Nexus - A Stellar Send-Off For A Beloved RPG Series
Likely my last 3DS title.
And just like all the other EOs, I'll never even come close to finishing it.

@Sandro89 Because "PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEEEEE!"
That's why.

@BulbasaurusRex The text is still Japanese, is it not?
Re: Nintendo Download: 24th January (Europe)
@Moroboshi876 They actually haven't. NL just lists it that way.

@diablo2 Just be thankful that for once, nL didn't compare something to OutRun.

Rousey? Hope they didn't plan on selling any copies to Gen Y.
Re: Review: YIIK: A Postmodern RPG - EarthBound For A New Generation
Nobody is owed having everything catered specifically to their one most-wanted issue.
And they're not being oppressed over not having everything catered to their issue, either.
But I guess if one can't dominate people's attention and conversation in reality, one has to try and do it on the internet.

Geez, switch things up, Bamco.

I don't want to be that kind of person, but I roll my eyes any time somebody says an RPG's story is going to be "tear-jerking".
Re: Review: Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition - Bursting At The Seams With Musou Goodness
Let me guess.
Only 30 FPS?
Re: Talking Point: It's A Pretty Sweet Time For 'New' Retro Games, But What Does It Mean For Collectors?
Someone once gifted me a Repro of MUSHA as a joke (though the actual joke had something to do with ex-baseball player Sammy Sosa).
I still don't know if I've forgiven him or not.

@subpopz Most importantly, a portable system.

Not sure I trust an outside studio doing a remake when they say they're changing up the gameplay with "several modifications".
If they were just doing a direct remake in HD, I'd be a lot more confident in it.

@BulkSlash And remember, a Saturn copy is (relatively) worthless if it doesn't still have the Spine Card.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects - November 2018
It's still odd to me that people insist on linking Horizon Chase to OutRun when it's obviously a tribute to Top Gear and the Lotus series.
Re: Koei Tecmo Is Announcing A New Nintendo Switch Game On 6th December
With the whole fire background, likely either a sim/strategy like Rot3K or Nobunaga's ambition.
Or possibly Ni-oh 2.

I was kind of hoping there'd be something more troll-ish about this.

Sadly, no Ninja Master's. I think that's the only game left I'm hoping makes it over.
Well, that and Viewpoint.

Disc Jam is really a different game entirely, with a completely different scoring system.
And I found the controls in that game to be too loose to really come to grips with.
Re: AtGames Disappoints Again With The Bandai Namco Flashback Blast
@FragRed They likely bid the cheapest. They tell companies that they can build a plug and play cash-in cheaper than anybody else can.
And then they cut corners so bad that they're finally burning bridges with publishers.
Re: Review: Windjammers - One Of The World's Greatest Two-Player Games Finally Comes To Switch
It's pretty much going to be the same as it was on PS4 and Vita.
