Even though I prefer MD Valis 3 and SNES Valis 4 to the PC Engine games (I know, I know, blasphemy...), Famicom Valis 1 is such absolute garbage that it turns me away from wanting this.
@johnvboy The original wasn't asking for 100 players.
How often are you going to get 100 people, who all want to do this, in the same room? This doesn't seem to be online-based, all 100 people will have to be in the same physical location.
The GCN version is never coming back unless Bandai-Namco pays a crapton to Nintendo to get the rights back. Nintendo funded the translation and publishing of the English-language GCN version, so they'd still call the shots about that specific version's code in English-language territories.
The new one is fine, and I have no problem with it, but the fans want Chicago (the FF6 font). I don't know how much it'd cost S-E to get the rights to put that in the Switch and PS4 versions, but I imagine the good will and trust it would earn them would make people more likely to buy future remakes/remasters (say, if they ever do the Dragon Quest Zenithian Castle Trilogy).
Admittedly, though, I'm slightly shocked this is happening because the creator said he'd never allow this to happen until every clone that simulated the TGM ruleset was permanently removed from the internet.
Well, at least it takes away the subtle creepiness factor of "You're the only human in a world of animals" thing that's kept me away from Animal Crossing...

Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd August (North America)
How bad is the lag in Batsugun?
Re: Action RPG 'Fate/Samurai Remnant' Looks Gorgeous In Latest Gameplay Trailer
Interesting. Moving from Pseudo-Musou games with the Extella series to an actual Musou game direct from Omega Force.
Re: Double Dragon Advance, Super & Collection Announced For Switch
Nice to see Advance making a comeback.

Re: Taito Classic 'Parasol Stars' Is Getting A Revival On The Switch
From what people are saying, "More Parasols to Come" probably means a port of Spica Adventure.
Re: Nintendo Download: 13th July (North America)
@ChromaticDracula Hamster has it listed on their website as today's release, so you may just have to give it a little time.
Sometimes these things don't show up on the eShop at the crack of Noon Eastern.
(I remember it being a while before Xexex/Orius showed up)
Re: Mini Review: Gimmick! Special Edition - A Rare And Wonderful 8-Bit Gem
Still kind of wish somehow it could have been the eXa-Arcadia version.
Yes, I know that would never happen, but still...
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Collections And Compilation Games
Genesis/Mega Drive Classics?
Don't you mean Genesis/Mega Drive Lag-ics?
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Today's Nintendo Direct?
@EVIL-C I've been wanting Star Ocean 2 to end up on the Switch in some form or fashion forever.
So I'm pretty happy about that one, even with the semi-lengthy wait.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Today's Nintendo Direct?
I know a bunch of people hate Re-releases and remasters, but eh. I like having all of these games in the same place, on the same system.

"Revolutionizing the Two Layer Attack System"
Xevious : "Am I a joke to you?"
Re: This Side-Scrolling Shmup Has Intriguing Gameplay, But A Terrible Name
As unfortunate as it sounds, I'm pretty sure the name came about because it's a spinoff of the dev's previous game, VULKAISER.
Re: Two Switch Games Will "No Longer Be Available" On The eShop
I'm assuming it's because these all have the same Japanese publisher (Kadokawa) and whatever licensing deal they had with NIS has expired.
The Steam release of God Wars is already attributed to a different publisher than NIS.
Re: Review: Star Gagnant - Takahashi Meijin Tests Your Trigger Finger With A Simple Shmup
Seems like a high price for those used to not paying anywhere near that much for Terarin's previous works...
Re: Talking Point: From The Sublime To The Ridiculous - Is Anybody Excited For Everybody 1-2-Switch!?
They've been sitting on this release for a long time, and when it was showed to focus groups, they HATED it.
This is just getting shoved out the door when they've got nothing else to release, BECAUSE they've got nothing else to release.
Re: Nintendo Announces Everybody 1-2-Switch!, Pre-Orders Now Live
Haven't they actually been sitting on this game for a long, LONG time now?
And they're just finally shoving it out the door hoping to recover some of the dev costs?
Re: Random: Zelda Devs Reveal Which Link They Think Is The Stinkiest
So, it's canon that every version of Link (post-Skyward Sword) smells of soot and poo?
Re: Nintendo Download: 18th May (North America)
OK, but which Shubibinman is that? The first one, or the second one (which had the Shockman name in the US)?
Re: Sega Looks Set To Raise Its Game Prices Up To $70
The "Atlus Tax" has returned, folks.

Re: Classic NES Title 'Gimmick!' Confirmed For Switch Release This July
Still a shame it couldn't be a port of the EXA-Arcadia version, but I get it. No EXA games are ever getting console ports.
Re: 'Double Dragon Gaiden' Announced With Scott Pilgrim-Inspired Visuals And Gameplay
Come on, ASW, just sign off on a high-res port of the GBA game, already.
Re: The Jurassic Park Games Are Getting A 30th Anniversary Retro Collection
Oh boy, the crappy Ocean ones, not the kinda-interesting Blue Sky ones.
Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of The New Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Font?
The new one is fine, and I have no problem with it, but the fans want Chicago (the FF6 font). Re: Action RPG 'Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai' Gets Worldwide Launch This Fall
A Dragon Quest with a gun-wielder?
Hmmm. Interesting.
Re: Hands On: Puzzle Bobble Everybubble! - A Warm, Cuddly Return (Except For The Space Invaders)
"where bubble dragon children live"
Does that mean Rainbow Islands, Parasol Stars, Bubble Symphony, and Bubble Memories have been excised from franchise canon?
Re: Shin chan: Me And The Professor On Summer Vacation Bags Physical Release
Is this the first game in that series (not counting the Attack of the Friday Monsters spinoff) released in English?
Re: Soapbox: An Ode To Ramón Salazar, Resident Evil's Most Absurd Villain
Likely they didn't want to offend anyone with Progeria.
Re: NIS America To Host 30th Anniversary Livestream Event Next Week
@Paraka Only reason I don't see it happening is because 2 already got a PC port.
Re: Review: Fire Emblem Engage - Relationships Get Sidelined By A Thrilling Combat-First Focus
I don't mind it going back to being more battle-focused.
I've never much been the shipping/tumblr type anyway, even when I was younger.
Re: Bandai Namco Open To More Tales Remasters, Awaiting Fan Requests
Rebirth and Graces f.
Rebirth since we never got an English version, and Graces f because I like the "CC" battle system.
Re: Atlus Is Preparing Several New Game Announcements For 2023
Odin Sphere Leifthrasir port for Steam please.
"But this site is about the Switch."
I certainly wouldn't complain if they'd do a Switch port, but I would also like for there to be a Steam one.
Re: Ys Developer Wants To Release Two More "Refined" Games On Switch
Always being stuck at least 3 years behind Japan on the Kiseki games sucks more and more the older I get.
Re: Review: Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion - Nomura’s Goofiest Writing Returns In A Thrilling Remaster
Are they actually going to explain why he has a slot machine in his brain, this time?
Re: Review: The Rumble Fish 2 - A Cult Classic Fighter Gets A Great Port
PS2 fighters tended to insist on that "High Res Interlaced 3D Background" look, even in 2D games.
The art design suffered for it, especially thanks to incongruence with the sprites if the gameplay itself was 2D.
Re: Atari Announces Ultra Rare Arcade Shooter 'Akka Arrh' Is Coming To Switch
Might be prudent to mention that this is a Remake.
Re: Surprise! Hamster Is Bringing The Hardest Tetris Series To Switch eShop Next Week
Admittedly, though, I'm slightly shocked this is happening because the creator said he'd never allow this to happen until every clone that simulated the TGM ruleset was permanently removed from the internet.
Re: Surprise! Hamster Is Bringing The Hardest Tetris Series To Switch eShop Next Week
OK, now it's time for a port of Terror-Instinct so we get Invisible 20G Mode during the Credits.
Re: No, Bandai Namco's New Fishing Game Isn't An Animal Crossing Spin-Off
Have the original 2019 game and it's kind of frustrating.
You miss way more than you pull in and it feels like you never can get a decent medal count.
Hoping the new one will be balanced a little better (and I think comparing it to Animal Crossing is doing it a massive disservice).
Re: Review: Persona 5 Royal - Finally On Switch, This Is The Very Definition Of Essential
Dangerous question to ask, but was it only 30FPS on PS4, also?
Re: Persona 5 Royal Switch Development Is Being Led By Sega
@Magician Marvelous (XSEED) would have to be the ones handling Muramasa. They're the ones with the rights to it.
Re: Lonesome Village Is A Zelda-Like Puzzle Adventure Fused With An Animal Crossing-Like Life Sim

Re: Tunic Aesthetics And Ratchet & Clank Action Meet In 'Trifox', Out On Switch Next Month
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think my species is over-represented when it comes to indie games.
Re: Feature: With Sales Outpacing Pokémon, Why Is Splatoon So Popular In Japan?
It's the hyper-focus on youth (specifically teen-to-early 20s) and fashion.
Re: La-Mulana Director To Remake Obscure Konami MSX IP After Winning Contest
Not surprising.
Naramura did a custom tileset for a fan-remake of Maze of Galious over a decade ago, so he's no stranger to working on the game.
Re: Konami Is Bringing Suikoden I & II Back With HD Remasters On Switch Next Year
Yesssss, MOAR PS1 RPGs on Switch, Please~
(C'mon, Square-Enix, give us a port of the PSP remakes of Star Ocean 2 and Valkyrie Profile)
As for Konami, you heard me. Vandal Hearts HD.
Re: Round Up: Eastasiasoft Showcases 10 New Switch Games, Coming Soon
Super Woden GP isn't bad.
Re: SEGA Genesis Mini 2 Games List - Every Mega Drive And SEGA CD Game, All 61 Titles
@NeonPizza That's because Japanese devs hand-coded their own sound drivers, whereas US devs just used GEMS, which was severely limited by comparison.
