Re: Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Confirmed For Switch

@Vyacheslav333 @Samalik @ottoecamn @Cronodoug

"This title is based on the Western version of “Xenoblade Chronicles X” released on Wii U. The specifications are the same worldwide."

Source, NoJ XBX listing page on Nintendo Store.

Unfortunately it appears they're going to push the censored western release on the entire world like they did Tokyo Mirage Sessions. In fact, I'd bet this port is censored even further.

Re: Two New Mario Kart 8: Deluxe Switch Bundles Announced (North America)

@Spider-Kev My reading comprehension is fine. Your post at #45 is nigh incomprehensible for starters. Are you listing steps? You say no DLC, then next you state the 12 months of online included in the bundle has the Tour map tracks accessible as long as one remains renewing their membership which is incorrect with the standard NSO. The Expansion Pack NSO, the upgraded tier, is what has that perk of playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC without purchasing the Booster Course Pass.

Re: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Swings Onto Switch Next Year

Please allow us to remap the controls! Motion Control tied to important actions on Wii and two of the preset controls on 3DS was awful! Making the circle pad required to move instead of the directional pad for a 2D platformer.. what were they thinking?? If we can remap the controls to something close to the DKC trilogy, that would be ideal!

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

Saw a lot of examples of translations by people compared to the localization and I have to say it's the worst localized dialogue to be seen. They've inserted out of place words and names from deep internet spaces like 'chud' of all things; yeah, it's that bad. It’s like if you wrote “based” or “poggers” into a script. What's worse is that all other languages save for Chinese use the English script as a foundation for their translation, so yes, I'm avoiding this. Sad that once again, a game's script is butchered by localization.

Re: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Looks Glorious In New Footage

@Joeynator3000 @PikminMarioKirby If the original can run at 60 I don't see why the remake can't either. Plus, it will mess with the timing of super guard and the other action commands. Not prioritizing the framerate in a game where timed attacks are everything seems very backwards to me. Having half the framerate that the 20 year old original has would be a real bummer if it ends up being part of the final game. 60 FPS looks better and feels more responsive. Anything you're used to will be laggy instead.

Re: Team Keyboard Rocks The Competition In Splatoon 3's Latest Splatfest

@Yosher "But I mean that makes sense when one team sweeps the battles, I guess"

I sense doubt. The team with the more skilled players who win more absolutely deserve the win. Team Frye should win by their merits alone and get better. Not win just cause, or if they haven't so long. Maybe she'll have a chance when Nintendo gives her the least popular choice so there's less casuals losing for her.

Re: Japanese Charts: Mario Vs. Donkey Kong Takes Its Fight To The Top

@Gryffin I agree with you on a certain level, but come on.. 'cost almost nothing to make'? Remake added remixed tunes, 2 brand new worlds, altered existing stage layouts, bonus stages are entirely new, CGI cutscenes that look better than the Mario Movie even all makes the original look like an early tech demo. All of that ain't cheap.
