Closely related, but why has Nintendo been publishing Square Enix games outside of Japan and not, well, Square Enix themselves? It's not like they're some small indie company that needs their financial support and Nintendo has to be getting a huge cut; they can't be doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. I feel like there's another reason besides those.

For Mario Kart 64, the Japanese voice-overs are shared with all regional voices of Mario Party characters from the sounds of it, even reusing some.

Do we know that the games in Mini 2 won't be replicated of mini 1?

@link3710 That's even worse. Game has been in the development oven for about 5 years and you're suggesting they'd pull an Xenoblade Chronicles and sell further story elements separately. I would hope that all that time they spent would be to sell a complete package no strings attached.

I remember how the Nintendo content/costumes were entirely free for Bayo 1 & 2, but now they're going to offer whatever via paid DLC. People reiterating how it'd be harmless optional DLC, but so was the costumes in previous entries. They didn't have to include them free of charge, but they did.

@Arawn93 People have expressed why in the comments, assuming you read them fully. We're not so much 'mad' but more so unfulfilled, at the idea of cosmetic day 1 paid DLC for a remaster, but not so much that we can't shrug it off if we're not willing to pay for it. This kind of content would be included as extras for free if we lived a decade ago IMO. Like, can you imagine if out of the top of my head, the Nintendo themed skins in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U were day 1 paid DLC? They probably would be if released today.

I didn't think Bandai Namco would add day 1 paid DLC for this genre and rerelease of this game though harmless. Would had been a great nice extra.

@Nico07 You should know by now how unpredictable Nintendo are. They could release two packs simultaneously for all we know. A commitment would be them having solid release dates per pack.

@Nico07 They're not committed releasing DLC every four months. The release dates per pack was left ambiguous but all should be released by the end of 2023.

@Otoemetry @RiasGremory Xenoblade Chronicles 2 would be a good game if it didn't have blatant, virgin-bait fanservice forced in making it uncomfortable to sit through at most turns.

It's a farcry from a celebration. If you find one further retro Kirby game being added to a limited rental service something worth celebrating over than say a collection of Kirby titles like the physical release of Kirby's Dream Collection (that includes this N64 game) for its 20th anniversary, then standards are a real low. Keep up the trend of releasing a Game & Watch themed after Kirby while they're at it..
