@DaniPooo Mario Kart Tour was proven to be MK9 because Nintendo announced new content for MK8 Deluxe through the Booster Course. It's as much counted a mainline entry as Fire Emblem Heroes is counted as a numbered entry of the Fire Emblems. Mobile or not. MKT was made by Mario Kart team. Next Mario Kart will not be called 9. You just want to be justified for dismissing a mobile game.

I can't find this talked about anywhere, but is the physical game all on one cartridge or is it a download code in box or partial online download?

@Quarth You find so many deniers, even some in the comment section here like post #63 that are blaming other people's consoles being launch Switch models as the cause. Pokemon gets so much defense/deflection from its fanbase I've ever seen.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika They're releasing a new Pokemon game next year holiday season as per usual, no doubt in my mind, and sales will soar.

@RubyCarbuncle So you say.. Yet Nintendo cracks down on offensive names too. Portrayals of threating others with guns is no small matter. My cousin got ISS many years ago for stupidly signaling a gun with his thumb and index finger replicating recoil from shooting at an officer who happened to be walking in the halls. Many objects used in such different angles in the locker or in tangent with others, Nintendo not going to notice all the possible portrayals immediately in their dev team or testers vs the 5 million owners.

@Clyde_Radcliffe Not report the head, report the locker. The problem is, the creator edited it in such a way where the head is depicting holding a real life looking gun pointing at you. If it was a Splattershot Jr or some silly weapon of Splatoons it wouldn't be a big deal, but given that the game warns you to not edit lockers inappropriately/offensively upon unlocking access to them and there being a 'How-to' on Nintendo's support page detailing locker reports, it's no trivial thing.

People don't seem to be aware that lockers edited to look offensive can be reported. The one with the head and object placed intended to look like a gun has been mass reported, I'd imagine.

Not something I'd wear in public, so hard pass.

@Krisi In turn, other Pokemon will get the spotlight. For PS2, Volturb has among the best moveset and stat spread. Thunder, Rain Dance, Mirror Coat, Explosion. Fearow pretty decent, Kadabra etc. Some of the pre-evolved Pokes are exceptional enough.

@Bryon15 Wrong. Speed-runners make easy work of it through rentals, so it's possible.

Can they confirm that the card game uses in-game currency and not microtransactions already so my mind can be at ease.

@Gamergirl94 @NintendoKnight Mario Kart Tour being a mainline number entry as MK9 has been established since the reveal of the MK8 Booster Course Pass. If you pass Tour as a spinoff against Nintendo's judgement then you're willingly wrong.

This is all sad news, but I'm not updating my game for solely longer credits. Great that these patches are optional.

@Dang69 Why can't NintendoAttackers like you set your aim on series in need of it like Pokemon. People are far more forgiving on that than Splatoon should be.

Sega has plans for DLC before game released, but when Nintendo has the same intentions with their titles such as Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Splatoon 3, paid DLC at that, they get a pass. I expected nothing less.

I was greeted with a ownership bonus/gift for having save data for Kirby Star Allies and Forgotten World of 3 relating music tracks.

Imagine being the Big N paying for online servers and maintaining them for an unreleased game..Months, and closing in on a year..

Something to note is that the physical release includes the first game while the second is through a download code.

But I love starting from square one and shredding people who have a small grasp of the game. I hope this is optional.

They've still not allowed preorders for the Splatoon 3 themed OLED in NA? Come on...

I loathe that preset gear sets are continued to be locked behind amiibo. They're not quicker to find the right amiibo and scan than it is to access through a list in-game.

@Member_the_game You're emphazing Mario Kart of all? There's dozens upon dozens of possible track candidates and expanded with the possibility of new courses. . There's some courses I desire, some I care not for. Honestly, would had preferred DLC packs of courses like the WiiU version did so we have the cheaper option to pay for a serving of tracks instead as a whole and stuck with unfavorable ones. But like I said, hot take! Regarding your joke comment, I'm old fashioned, I never thought to look up online menus of restaurants being that I lived in an era without the internet for so long, ha.

@Member_the_game Hot take, but I for one don't care for the surprise element for something that is offered up for sale. I would like to know all additional DLC before I buy over buying into a mystery box of content.

How many games did the first collection volume have? The number may indicate when the second volume may show up.

@Axecon HGSS demake? Nah, it'll be a faithful remake to the Gold and Silver games, the BDSP treatment. Gutted Viridian Forest, no Safari Zone, Crystal improvements/features ignored such as Battle Tower.

What! I've tired of silent protagonists. They would be cooler if they weren't walking husks and had their own character and personality shown with their take on the games current events! Am I really in the minority on this?

I've said this before, but I wish they withheld the Tour tracks for the next installment Mario Kart 10 (yes, Mario Kart Tour is 9, like it or not) so that more of the courses prior to MK8 could be better focused on being remade.. Tour tracks are still being developed for that entry so instead of a handful or two making it into MK8, it would have been so much better if they had released all Tour tracks into MK10, IMHO.

Personally, I don't care at all for the Tour tracks because they're for the most part based on real world locations and it breaks the immersion in the Mario universe. They could had saved them all for the next Mario Kart 10 installment instead of a few making it in through DLC and giving less focus on retro courses outside of Tour.
