Apparently, Pokemon equipped with moves gained from previous generations through TMs, breeding, purification, and events, are lost when transferring to S/V and can't be relearned. Seems like a huge oversight.

Why the worry of Nintendo patching duplication? I get for competitive multiplayer games like Pokemon, but this is a single player game with no interaction with others. Why would they patch something not harmful?

@Joeynator3000 They had two years of delay on top to further polish and add to the game. All what's included in base game is all we're getting 'else it will look really scummy for them to hold back content to charge further that they well enough had time to implement.

@Wisps EXP Multipliers can be adjusted between 0 and 4, so at the very least can retain its original difficulty.

@RareFan Mario Kart Tour IS an official Mario Kart. It's in fact Mario Kart 9.

@SonOfDracula Notabley, Charles Martinet voices Homunculus in Shadows of Memories. I didn't know of this while hearing his voice in the game; it's as you say, he has incredible vocal range beyond Mario and others.

If Gen 1 and 2 come to Switch I hope it’s through purchase and not part of NSO. Otherwise, eventually all progress will one day disappear when Nintendo discontinues NSO.

@Juanblue85 Pokemon Yellow robs you the tradition of choosing your starter albeit you can obtain all eventually by the time defeating the third gym, and some popular Pokemon are absent like Meowth, so Red or Blue has enough merits to owning IMO.

PSA: Play through Ace Attorney Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice's episode 1 until you reach the checkpoint save, then the DLC option will be accessible in the main menu. Be sure to download the DLC including outfits and episodes before you're not able to anymore!

@fishbujin No one's forgotten. The MK Arcade games are sub series, their characters are not eligible. Nintendo doesn't count them as mainline or else Mario Kart 3DS would had been MK8 and MKWiiU/Switch would be MK9.

@DaniPooo Their own info graphic featuring the numbered entries was proof that Mario Kart Tour is MK9, that's one factor in why I'm certain.

To strengthen my case for the Arcade games being a sub-series, the first one was made long before Mario Kart 7 on 3DS; if Nintendo counted that, then the 3DS entry would of been MK8 and following titles would be bumped up by one.

This isn't even the first time that Nintendo have publicly signified that Tour is a mainline game. They included it in the Mario Kart Timeline a couple of years ago when they had Mario 35th Anniversary website and wallpaper as a reward on their site.

You completey lost me at your Yoshi Island course example.. 😵‍💫 F-Zero, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, and Zelda are courses in MK8, and yet I'm no way in advocating those series are mainline Mario Kart games lol. Don't spring your twisted logic onto me and call it mine.

Like it or loathe it. Mario Kart Tour is Mario Kart 9. The next game will be Mario Kart 10.

Oh, and while we're at it. Super Mario Run is still the latest mainline 2D Mario game.

The Arcade games were made by Namco. Tour being 9 makes sense considering that, unlike Live: Home Circuit or the Arcade games, Tour was actually made in-house at EPD 9, who developed Mario Kart 8

Nintendo theirselves has proved through their actions, with their info graphic including MKT, their in-house development team behind the development of both games, and the solidifying fact that Tour stages are in MK8 Deluxe. You sound like those over a decade ago who claimed the portable Mario Karts didn't count as mainline before Mario Kart 3DS featured a number in its title. Not sure why you taken issue of Tour being MK9, maybe because it's not featured on their own hardware or it's simply a mobile title?

Y'all overlooking the "returning characters from the Mario Kart series will be added in future waves", not characters that would be newly debuted like Boshi and crossover characters ie Captain Falcon, Kirby, Pyra(??). They're not eligible.

If MK8 Deluxe gets Dixie Kong or characters that debuted in Mario Kart Tour, this would reinforce the fact that MKT is Mario Kart 9 (as if the Booster Course Pass itself didn't already). The next Mario Kart entry will be the 10th of the series.

@rjejr Same case with Fire Emblem Engage's DLC. Purchasing it's DLC rewards you with "pay to win" resources like stat boosters, weapons, and hefty amount of gold. No option to reject it or to claim later; the game just hurls it onto you. At least in Fire Emblem Fates, you could manually claim the DLC taint rewards. Here, it's automatically sent to your convoy.

@DaniPooo Mario Kart Tour was proven to be MK9 because Nintendo announced new content for MK8 Deluxe through the Booster Course. It's as much counted a mainline entry as Fire Emblem Heroes is counted as a numbered entry of the Fire Emblems. Mobile or not. MKT was made by Mario Kart team. Next Mario Kart will not be called 9. You just want to be justified for dismissing a mobile game.

@Quarth You find so many deniers, even some in the comment section here like post #63 that are blaming other people's consoles being launch Switch models as the cause. Pokemon gets so much defense/deflection from its fanbase I've ever seen.

@RubyCarbuncle So you say.. Yet Nintendo cracks down on offensive names too. Portrayals of threating others with guns is no small matter. My cousin got ISS many years ago for stupidly signaling a gun with his thumb and index finger replicating recoil from shooting at an officer who happened to be walking in the halls. Many objects used in such different angles in the locker or in tangent with others, Nintendo not going to notice all the possible portrayals immediately in their dev team or testers vs the 5 million owners.

@Clyde_Radcliffe Not report the head, report the locker. The problem is, the creator edited it in such a way where the head is depicting holding a real life looking gun pointing at you. If it was a Splattershot Jr or some silly weapon of Splatoons it wouldn't be a big deal, but given that the game warns you to not edit lockers inappropriately/offensively upon unlocking access to them and there being a 'How-to' on Nintendo's support page detailing locker reports, it's no trivial thing.

People don't seem to be aware that lockers edited to look offensive can be reported. The one with the head and object placed intended to look like a gun has been mass reported, I'd imagine.
