Great opinion, brilliantly captured. This is why Nintendo drip feeds us NSO titles as well. Try to actually enjoy and play through a title on offer before the next one arrives. I appreciate the cadence. The NSO titles aren’t just to poke at for a few minutes then dip out. Many of these are quality offerings worth playing through to the credits.

Buy this physical on Switch 1, then use the free upgrade for Switch 2 performance. A nice compromise.

I predicted this over a year ago in these very NintendoLife comments section. I thought the magnetic joycon rumor had to be bogus, simply because kids fingers would get caught!

I will say that the only game card travel cases I like are the ones that show the cartridge sticker fully. I hate having to slide up game after game until I find the one I want. This case at least meets that criteria.

I was physical only until Switch 2. I’ve given up the good fight. Physical collections just come with too many caveats nowadays. My Switch 1 physical collection is legit though. I’m glad I held the line on Switch 1.

Insane. Games for a Nintendo console clocking in at 70+ GB. Plus all signs are pointing toward a very digital future for this console, what with physical 3rd party games mostly being “card keys.” I think I will buy the rare 3rd party games otherwise stick to Nintendo exclusives.

The real Nintendo is NCL Japan. Nintendo of America, the marketing company, has no say in these things. And NCL Japan has made it clear through their actions how they want these remaster credits listed.

@Serpenterror Nah all the rumors have said the magnets snap the joy-con into place while the button behind the ZL/ZR is for “locking” the joy-con into place, and presumably to “unlock” them as well. The magnets surely are for the satisfying CLICK!

So they moved the home button to the left joycon. That’s terrible. Why???

For some reason Donkey Kong Land III was also listed as “something new to play” after I updated the Game Boy app, even though I’ve been playing through it for the past week.

This is huge news. I’m so excited at the possibilities.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the breadth of offerings from this developer. Paper Mario, Fire Emblem and Wario Ware couldn’t be any more different, yet they all come from Intelligent Systems. What an awesome partner to have.

These controllers are phenomenal. I bought 4 back in the day. Frankly I wouldn’t consider playing NSO N64 games without this.

I bought Pikmin 1+2 physical for full price having convinced myself that this one would come and go quickly, with the physical carts becoming hard to find within a few months.

Guess I was wrong… grr.

I’m glad to hear this but on the other hand it basically confirms that the Switch successor is just a more powerful Switch, which is a bit disappointing for such an innovative company as Nintendo.

With this new game being larger and more complex in scope, I don’t think Grezzo have the technical chops to patch this.

Awesome new characters! Though I bought the Anniversary Edition physical thinking it was “complete.” Games these days…

It may not seem fair to those that just resigned, but we can be certain that these vacancies at Annapurna publishing will be coveted and filled very quickly.

@Zach777 Thanks for this link. I wonder if this particular title will ONLY be available via Nintendo’s online store or whether I should be able to buy this on Amazon and elsewhere. Any info on that?

I also have NSO Nintendo 64 controllers (4 of them) and they sync perfectly with iPad/iPhone, making this a very viable way to play N64 games, even multiplayer, using original controllers. So nice!

Now if the Delta devs would just add virtual “game link” capabilities for multiplayer games on DS and GBA, I’d be in heaven. Also allow for local wireless play. There are improvements that can still be made definitely.

I use Delta on iPad Pro. It’s glorious to behold, and the Apple Pencil stylus is great for touch enabled DS games.

By the way the DS emulation is flawless. You can even AirPlay the content to your TV while keeping the touch screen on the iPad/iPhone. Really slick.

It’s fun. This whole game is fun. The haters just hate. Glad to have basketball in this version. 3 point shootout is sublime.

For many reasons, this Direct could go down in the history books as the greatest ever.

@Serpenterror Doesn’t it also regularly go on sale for just a few dollars? A full-fat AAA game not cloud-based for a few bucks, with a port that runs fairly well from what I remember playing the demo. I’m not terribly surprised by those sales numbers, but they are good nonetheless.
