I'm hoping the Crossbell arc gets localized at some point. I also recommend for those getting into the Trails series, play Trails in the Sky trilogy before you get to Cold Steel 4. There are quite a few events in ToCS4 that piggyback off of TitS.

Uh oh, Vesperia is catching up thanks to the remaster. Better remaster Symphonia ASAP before Vesperia takes the lead.

@AuroraBoreale There's nothing wrong with you. If it makes you feel any better, I bought Ys Origin 4 times (physical and digital for PS4 and Switch) and also bought Ys IX 4 times. Japanese PS4, physical and digital PS4 (my physical copy was arriving late and I didn't want to wait) and I have the Switch special edition pre-ordered from the NISA Store. If something is wrong with me, I don't want to be right.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It's great so far. I'm on chapter 5 and just saved Nancy.

@Tyranexx Ys Origin is published by DotEmu and translated by XSEED, so it's not under NISA's umbrella.

Ys 8 is one of my favorite games of all time.

@Donutsavant Oh my LRG copy of Ys Origin just shipped as well, that's my 2nd favorite Ys behind only 8. I'm also getting the CE of Ys 9 on Switch from the NISA store so I'll look forward to replaying that one then.

Ys 9. It's amazing.

Grinding is fun if the battle system is great. Grandia, Ys, Disgaea, I like grinding if the gameplay is good and the progression is rewarding.

I hope with the success of Streets of Rage 4, Capcom will want to throw their hat in the ring with Final Fight 4. It could happen!

Looking forward to it either way, already pre-ordered it and anxiously waiting until Tuesday to play it. Looks great, hopefully it plays great too.

Finished Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc late Friday night, going to move on to Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology next. Maybe a little Man Eater on PS5 too, it's free on PS+ so why not?

Looks awesome, and the little teaser also shows off the most terrifying enemy in the Castlevania franchise- stairs.

Mostly Fire Emblem Awakening, a little bit of Sackboy on the side.

Looks like a pit from E.T. on the Atari 2600. If we get E.T. Remastered, my reaction will be... well I won't have much of a reaction to be honest.

Too lazy to rank them, but Xenoblade, Ys Origin, Hades, Streets of Rage 4, Huntdown, Tokyo Mirage Sessions were my standouts.

I hope it has online multiplayer. I'm buying either way.

@Alucard83 I beat the Japanese version of Ys 9 last year, the whole game doesn't take place in the city. There is still a proper overworld with dungeons and caves and such. Think of the city as a bigger version of your home base from Ys 8, or like Midgar from original FF7.

@BulkSlash Have you tried Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin? It kind of reminds me of ActRaiser since it's half action platformer, half sim. Instead of leveling up by increasing you town's population, you're increasing your stats by growing and harvesting rice. Obviously the soundtrack is nowhere near Koshiro level though.

My only crashes came in winter year 2, when I select the option to have dinner and only when I changed the menu. My advice is save before dinner, but hopefully that's one of the crash triggers that got fixed. I also think enemies have too many i-frames when you knock them down, I wish that would get patched.

Trails of Cold Steel 4. Keeps getting better and better. I'd highly recommend playing Trails in the Sky before Cold Steel 4.

A whole lot of Trails of Cold Steel 4, about 50 hours in and it's going to be my GotY.

I hope it turns out well, but remember the Switch version of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night? Also published by 505. I expect this one to be messy.

I'm just surprised Steamworld Dig is the one indie that hasn't been infiltrated by Shovel Knight yet. Unless I missed something...

Nice! I'm playing Cold Steel IV on PS4 now, this is truly one of the best RPG series ever, especially when it comes to characters, world building, battle system and music. I was starting to think 1 and 2 weren't coming to Switch, but I'm glad I was wrong. Also 1 and 2 have already been localized by XSEED and they're excellent. I'd also recommend that if you're able, play Trails in the Sky Trilogy as well. I played them on Steam and my potato PC ran them just fine.

Hmmm, if they send you back to the beginning after the final boss, maybe it's like Ghosts N Goblins where you have to beat it twice to see the true ending. I bet there's so much story content there with mind blowing twists and reveals. No but seriously nice review.

22 years later I finally beat Final Fantasy Tactics last night, moving on to Breath of Fire 4 later. Played A Short Hike in between, fun little game.

@JoeDiddley Don't worry, there is a proper overworld, the whole game doesn't take place inside the city. Think of it as a much bigger version of your settlement in Ys VIII.

@playstation_king It's because the PS4 version has been out in Japan since last year. So NISA only have to do the translation for that version, whereas they're developing the Switch and PC ports themselves, hence the time gap in between releases.

@echoplex The Japanese version of Ys IX has a paper instruction book, doesn't do me much good because I don't speak Japanese. Also the recent PS4 release of Ys: Memories of Celceta has a terrific and detailed instruction book, but that's published by XSEED, not NISA who are publishing Ys IX in the West. Anyway, I'm optimistic that Ys IX will have a nice instruction book when it comes out next year.
