Nintendo was in danger before Switch, mighty Sony is struggling too (specially in Japan) in a very competitive market, and xbox is still on the game only cause of the near unlimited money muscle of mother company. I don't see how sega can compete with game pass and playstation plus

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade: The Graphic Adventure, was one of my favorite games of all times. The VGA version you got for free with a VGA card was really jaw dropping at the time. It was like a game version of the movie. Really ahead of its time.

When 3ds came out i bought at a major retail shop a DSiXL bundled with Pokemon Black for 100€. Ok it was a bargain and but still i find it hard to justify 80€ for a digital game (thats the price in EU). Thats almost the price of an entry Xiaomi Smartphone

Business model of the game was a failure cause people are addicted to F2P model in mobiles. Its actually made by the same team that made New Super Mario on DS. Nintendo tried to see if people were willing to pay for it. Guess they werent.

Retro Studios is an american company but still Nintendo is Japanese. With just 7.000 i'm not sure it worth the cost to localise it

Phil Spencer is not a game developer. From a business point of view ofc he wants to hit a certain level of quality on Nintendo platforms. Infinity Ward or Panic button may know a thing or two more about the limitations of Nintendo's current hardware. I don't see this happening on Switch but some port of old Modern Warfare is possible

From a business decision it may makes sense. As a gamer though i see E3 as a big celebration of gaming and i really miss the old days when all big 3 were participating with big booths and special events and each company was trying to be more impressive than the other.

@Don Pokemon Yellow/Blue/Red/Gold/Silver/Crystal are maybe the best selling (or among the best selling) games in 3DS e-shop. They won't give them away on extra tier or they will save them for Switch 2

I'm all digital too. When PS Vita and 3ds were released people were saying that these could be the last dedicated handheld portable consoles and that people now use their smartphones for games and cloud is the future blah blah blah. 12 years later and Switch outsold gameboy in the era of smartphones. Handhelf devices arent going anywhere anytime soon

Nintendo could break PS2 record if it slashes price but this doesn't really isn't a goal. Switch 2 will come next 2 years cause sales already started to slow down. It wont break PS2 record but still an impressive run. Just hope they wont screw this up again like with Wii U.

Switch is so weak it can't even run a remaster of a 26 year old N64 game that looks dreadful and is near unplayable cause of controls at solid 30 fps. And yeah it's even worse in the four-player split-screen, consistently running at 20 FPS

Not all video games translate to big (or small) screen well. Pokemon do. Last of us do. I still seriously doubt that Mario is well suited for a movie or tv series but at least characters look the same as the game, so it wont be a flop
