Re: Talking Point: Would $499 Be Too Much For 'Switch 2'?

dimi

Most Switch users (not the hardcore ones that crawl at Internet forums) are casuals. They wont give $450 just to play Mario Kart in 1440p/upscaled 4k. Nintendo after Gamecube (biggest failure, although it wasn't below competition) never released a console without a gimmick. Lets wait and see

Re: Rumour: Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games "Finished"

Since track and field the industry is still trying to find a better formula for summer games. It's been so long and people lost hope. Hell I had even more fun with winter games back in the day. Mario & Sonic was a pretty bad use of license and franchise. But still better than nothing at all I guess.

Re: Poll: Are You Ready To Move On From The Switch?

Does anyone really believe that Nintendo will offer free (or $10) upgrade path for all games with higher 60fps/1440p upgrade paths for all current games on Switch 2 like Sony and Microsoft offer? yeah me neither

Re: Random: Japanese Police Officer Gets Slapped Wrist For Playing Switch On Duty

"The prefectural police has since confirmed that the officer's pay will be deducted in line with the amount of time spent playing the Switch." This must be a joke, right? I mean they can't have a way of knowing how much of this play time was while at work duty. Also it's the first time I heard there's some wage deduction cause of gaming.

Re: Japanese Charts: Mario vs. Donkey Kong Drops To Second As Final Fantasy Makes A Splash

Its sad. Final Fantasy XIII sold over one million units on its first day of sale in Japan. Its not only that the franchise is in decline. I think first week sales reflects the franchise fatigue after all these disappointments. I mean FF13 sold like crazy in first week mostly using momentum and anticipation of excellent FF12. So low numbers reflect more the previous games shortcoming than FF7 Rebirth potential.

Re: Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Confirmed For Switch, Adds New Chapter & Storyline

I feel conflicted about Atlus, on one hand they are my favorite Japanese publisher, and on the other hand they are greedy as hell and offer no upgrade path. They even asked full price for Person 5 Royal 60 fps upgrade on PS5 even if you bought the game before. And it's a turned based game with visual novel elements, not a game that 60 fps over 30 make any huge difference.
