@electrolite77 Switch 2 not really cost less in most countries but it comes with a screen that is not the case with PS5 .

I'm into vinyl -and even music cassette tapes- collecting which is a novelty, but I don't find the appeal for video game physical media. I think there's too much talk about game-key thingie which is something that don't affect gameplay. Still if you have fun collecting boxes I can relate

aesthetically the art looks not very close to the original, even if its
from a Japanese studio, looks too western to me. But at least certainly an improvement over last games that used the franchise name and butchered it. Hope Capcom makes a true sequel one day

@mr12calvin its a system seller. People are buying Switch 2 to make Mario Kart parties with their friends. Mario Kart 8 sold like 80 million units. It's safe bet that it will be the best selling system in Switch 2 as well. it will be played over 10 years, an investment most people consider worthwhile.

Shinobi arcade is one of my favorite games of all time. This seems to focus on close combat instead of shuriken throwing which is a shame. Maybe I'll stick playing the cloney Ninja Five-O- (on my modded GbA)

Most Switch users (not the hardcore ones that crawl at Internet forums) are casuals. They wont give $450 just to play Mario Kart in 1440p/upscaled 4k. Nintendo after Gamecube (biggest failure, although it wasn't below competition) never released a console without a gimmick. Lets wait and see

Since track and field the industry is still trying to find a better formula for summer games. It's been so long and people lost hope. Hell I had even more fun with winter games back in the day. Mario & Sonic was a pretty bad use of license and franchise. But still better than nothing at all I guess.

I think Switch had way too many Pokemon games, and there's a franchise fatigue. Same with Super Mario, Zelda and Splatoon. Better to save these system sellers for Switch 2 and bring something exciting for the holiday season.

So Nintendo's paid service is οffering a "free" game trial of a 21 year old game! On the other hand Sony's lowest paid tier is offering EA Sports FC 2024 full game (not a trial) for free. I find Nintendo's offering lacking

It's not even like Metroid is Nintendo's most successful franchise. Samus isn't Pikachu or Mario she could use some more recognition.

What's interesting here is that after 3 1/2 years, top game sells near as much PS4 copies as PS5 copies. And people ask why we still get cross-platform games. I don' t see Switch 2 coming at 2024

I found the last DQ quite dated so I very much welcome a darker and more mature tone (but c'mon how dark can DQ really be?). Yes FF outside of the MMORPG is losing momentum and DQ as well, they will need to innovate again.

The first Prince of Persia was surely iconic. At the time my PC couldn't run it but I played it few years later. Way too hard for me. I played more The sands of time that was also innovative in many ways, animations and running on the walls felt almost like a crouching tiger, hidden dragon game.

Great idea, like Zune, Windows RT, Wndows Phone, what can go wrong? I think they will settle with a PS Portal style peripheral, a mini Series S is not a bad idea but dunno how appealing it will be if it can't play PC games
