For a start this isnt a game as such to 100%, it's to showcase all available features and how do you expect them to show that Mario pixel demo if you havent got a 4K screen? Bulk crafting would absolutely be a must but also make it far easier to get recipes, I think i played the game for nearly 2 years before getting the necessary chopping board to make a sink.

I'd also add the ability to crafting everything that's in the game, from special Nintendo items to the houses and buildings themselves and make them way more customisable. How about designing the layout of your own house?

But as others have said, the interaction and dialogue woth the animals themselves needs a lot of work to make it a more meaningful place to interact with

No i won't be buying any, not because of any moral stance but because I don't understand why I'd want to make my digital games less convenient to play

Storage certainly won't be an issue for me at launch as I've got no interest in getting any of those for it and instead am looking at Mario Kart and Donkey Kong, with a bit of Fast Fusion thrown in

@OldGamer999 I think where Switch 2 sales may struggle vs Switch 1, could be more down to those who bought multiple Switch's. As I'd imagine many will keep their existing Switch for less demanding games and are less likely to replace all of them

@GrailUK all those Steamdeck comparison people are going to be upset when Switch 2 surpasses it's lifetime sales on day 1

Got mine in straight away with Mario Kart from Argos and now the Gamecube controller from the Nintendo store. I'm really looking forward to playing Mario Kart World on June 5th

Opinion, there is no comparison between them and they occupy very different spaces, with one selling a few million and the other following a device with well over 100 million.

Then the fact that I'm buying a Switch 2 to play Nintendo's games, so at that point the discussion is over anyway

This is just a very bad take, if anything the fall damage made exploration and combat in BOTW and TOTK way more interesting than it would have been without.

It doesn't necessarily fit every game but for many it makes sense and having a sense of danger when very high up just makes me focus more than I would otherwise. I just don't understand why so many people are against having some consequences for mistakes in games

I don't think I'll need one for a while anyway as I'll be keeping my Switch OLED for og Switch games and after Mario Kart, there's only really Donkey Kong on the immediate horizon and I'll be getting that physically

@Discostew It'll certainly be interesting to see how it handles RT and DLSS when those arrive, especially if it can offset the CPU cost seen on PC.

But we are still looking at a GPU that's 60% of the size of a 3050 and with more extreme power limits. That said with how Nintendo develops their own games, this should still leave room for some nice effects, a new Wave Race with RT reflections on the water?

@Discostew PS5 Pro does have dedicated RT hardware and would blow the Switch 2 away in that regard but there is no PS5 Pro patch. We'll see when it comes out but I'd be surprised if it has RT on the Switch version as it appears to be CPU bottlenecked in the footage we've seen and RT will only make that worse

I thought it was a funny placeholder price to start with but apparently that's what they want for it 😂 There's a couple of neat things I wouldn't mind owning but for nowhere near that price

I'm so glad they kept it in and I'd love to see a retun to this mechanic, even if just an optional mode in Mario Kart World. The 2 characters and character specific specials, created a nice bit of strategy and utter choas on certain tracks, Baby Park with giant Banana's and Koopa Shells springs to mind.

When this comes to NSO I'll be playing the hell out of it

I'm just not that bothered, I bought Mario Kart 8 on Wii U and then again on Switch and its dlc on both platforms, so I spent way more on that game than the retail price of Mario Kart World, let alone the £35 that it's actually cost me.

When I'm now living in a world where a takeaway can easily cost upwards of £40 or when me and the Mrs go out for an evening for £100, a game that I'm going to play for a long time costing an extra £10 just doesn't even register as an issue

Switch 2 isn't even in the discussion for me, as whilst there are plenty of great games, the overwhelming majority are existing titles simply ported over but Mario Kart World and Fast Fusion both look amazing.

My favourite has to be Gamecube, with Wave Race, Star Wars, Super Monkey Ball and Luigi's Mansion all still looking great and remaining amongst my favourite games

Nothing for me yet but I think i may have had a couple of weeks gap before I last renewed NSO and I secured one at Argos anyway. But I do want to be able to get that Gamecube controller and an SD card

Ahh yes because when other publishers and platform holders raised the prices of their games, they immediately stopped selling dlc, season passes, battle passes, early access and everything else on top of that.

All this fuss over it's price and it cost me £35 and might actually be the cheapest Mario Kart I've ever bought.

OLED is great but newer LCD screens can also look very good and are often brighter for HDR, plus OLED panels can and do suffer from VRR flicker to varying degrees

Never mind fancy rumble, why is nobody talking about GameShare? They're bringing back being able to play local multiplayer on 2 consoles with just one copy of the game and I don't see anyone talking about it

This was the reveal of the show for me, it's been a very long wait for a new 3D Donkey Kong and this looks exceptional

I'd imagine this will have a Switch 2 version or upgrade, so we were never likely to be given a release date until that's announced

It's a bit sad that I've had controllers fail from Switch and other recent consoles, yet my nearly 3 decade old Saturn 3d pad and Dreamcast controllers still work perfectly fine

I'm excited for Switch 2 but it and the Steamdeck occupy different spaces, despite the form factor similarities and neither will have a significant impact on the others sales. I've considered the Steamdeck many times but it's not for me and not because I own a Switch but because I have a powerful PC and now a Quest 3 and I just don't know when I'd even use it

Can't say I'm that bothered, these are the weaker Star Wars games from that era, give me the Rogue Squadron/Leader and Shadows of the Empire over these any day

@Qwiff Mario Kart 9 was a far better choice at this point than MP4. We know Metroid exists for starters and will be on the current Switch but Mario Kart is a substantially bigger brand, with MK8 alone selling 4 times as much as the entire Metroid series

@NintenGuy yeah I was disappointed in the the Mario movie, it was just 90 minutes or so of ooh look, remember this from Mario World, now Smash Bros and now Mario kart just because, no real story and no heart.

I've just got back from seeing Sonic 3 and it's my favourite in the series, the setup feels a little rushed but the characters are all really good and Jim Carrey is having the time of his life

I can't even remember the last time I even browsed the eshop, it's easily the worst online store I've ever used. Sure the likes of Steam recieve as much rubbish as this does but there its far easier to filter out and the simple act of navigating it isn't a chore. Nintendo should be ashamed of themselves for what they've let their store become and I hope they do a far better job (or at least bother to even try) with whatever the Switch 2 has

I'm a big fan of Astro Bot and it's very obvious how much inspiration it takes from Mario amd as a fan of the genre, I'm very happy to see them doing so

I'm certainly not against Nintendo bringing their older games forward but they shouldn't be anywhere near full price releases.

That said I do hope it leads to a brand new entry for Donkey Kong and whilst this will never happen, I'd love to see a new entry in the visual style of the original games as I feel they still look so much better than this

I've got to say that EoW is one the most disappointing games I've played on Switch, with many issues that just drag the experience down. Sometimes Nintendo goes a bit too far in trying to change up a successful formula for the sake of it and this is one of those times.

I think this year in general I've played a lot of good games but nothing that has really stood out above the rest

@MirrorFate2 it's much worse on the Switch
