@Dezzy70 there may not me anything for you but there is far more I'm excited for on Switch then on the PS5 at the moment. This may be a rehash but Wii Sports was great fun and I'm looking forward to playing this game, Mario Strikers looks fun as does Kirby and then Xenoblade to top it off. If they're not for you then fair enough but I'll be having a great time with Switch this year
@GrailUK at this point how would they even top Mario Kart 8? The gameplay is pretty much perfect, it's now going to have an insane number of tracks in it. Weirdly I think they've gone the right way, just build upon what's already there and hopefully throw some battle mode tracks and new characters onto the mix
@Old-Red from my understanding the minting of these NFT's could be prohibitively expensive to do so in such large volumes. Its entire business model is low numbers but with a perceived high value and not the other way round
Surely to be Nintendo's best selling home console you'd have to deduct the Switch Lite's sales? It doesn't take away from the Switch's success, just more of an observation
Then you get to the price and realise its largely pointless, that's a lot of money for a limited use product. If only the Switch were portable and had a screen included 🤔
@Clyde_Radcliffe wow, theres no way to both emulate a controller pak and have rumble? Seriously stop making excuses for them when this has been possible for a very long time
@Clyde_Radcliffe regardless of how they worded it, you shouldn't be forced to use save states in any of these games. This is a service they're charging for and they can't be bothered to implement controller pak support, its nonsense and we all know it
It's pretty shambolic of Nintendo not to support controller pak games in its own emulator, they really do treat their own back catalogue shoddily most of the time and then wonder why people use other means to play them
Nightdives excellent work combined with one of the very best FPS games of the 90's, yes count me in. Exhumed on the Saturn is an excellent game and this one is a little different to your typical shooter, feels a bit more like what Metroid Prime became as you explore the levels and gain new abilities to explore areas that couldn't be reached earlier.
I could have predicted that they are making a new Mario Kart, it's hardly a revelation. Can we stop giving these people attention as most of them just guess or make it up
@Specter_of-the_OLED I'm well aware of the two versions and the updated move set in Fighters Megamix, another great game. I mean yeah I'll concede VF3 would work on N64, backgrounds might look a bit rough to to its texture limitations and I wouldn't want to play it with that controller, as much as I like it for platformers and fps games though. As for Crazy Taxi, I don't see that being a good time at all and pretty foggy to boot
@Specter_of-the_OLED not initially but it's more than capable of handling 3D and it had VDP2 to handle the backgrounds making those ports possible and very good too
With all due respect to the N64, it wouldn't have been capable of running those games. This man effectively killed off the Saturn when it still had some promising titles on the way and essentially left Sega with no market presence in the US for over 12 months
@UltimateOtaku91 they could tie the most desirable unlockables to them or even limit how many players can unlock them, its not hard to imagine. Also what is one benefit of having an NFT in a game? You mention selling items but they've been able to do that for years without them
Nothing about that leak suggests it isn't coming to the Switch, wasn't it Nintendo themselves who got the ban removed? Also why the N64 version as opposed to their own remaster?
I'd be very surprised if this doesn't have a Switch release as well
Awesome, I liked the first Sonic movie and this poster gives me hope for the sequel too and even though I've been disappointed on many occasions, I'll always get excited for a new Sonic game.
This is the reason I'll now be paying attention the the game awards
Already seen a few 4K60FPS comments, well good luck with that in a handheld when PS5 and Series X won't always achieve it.
The Steamdeck is an exciting prospect, so much so that I'll be buying one but it's not going to stop me wanting to play Nintendo's games. Don't forget these will be available in much smaller quantities too amd for the most part a much higher price.
Oh absolutely they should, this is a yearly subscription so it's a bit silly when so many of the games aren't even available across that period. I mean we are still effectively miles behind what was available on the Wii some 15 years ago and that can't be right
@Medic_Alert yeah that is a little bit of a balancing act, though I tried Xcloud streaming recently and it worked really well. Luckily many of the games I'm currently playing are back compat so quite small as well
"Unfortunately, many of these gamers also believe that this handheld gaming experience is a bit underwhelming because of the miniscule size of the current Nintendo Switch® screen"
I'm sorry, what? Am I imagining things but didn't the GB, GBC, GBA, GG, Lynx, PSP, DS, 3DS including the XL variants and any other handheld console have smaller (often significantly so) screens then the "miniscule" Switch? That has to be one of the worst descriptions I've ever seen of a console
How can we make our dislike of the purple Gamecube even dumber? Oh yes let's call it a female colour.
I swear to god some of these executives are stupid, sounds like the numpties who used to run Sega of America. Thankfully they weren't listened to as the purple Gamecube looks great and the black variant is boring to look at
If there is a better looking game from back then I haven't played it, playing this on Dolphin with just a resolution boost and it could easily pass for a far more modern game
I imagine this may have been more popular had it been 2 players from the start, I've just bought the Luigi set for my son's birthday but may have to get a Mario on as well now
@ferryb001 I've never seen the rain that bad on Switch, the effect looks like its turned down so I've not had an issue with it. A few on here are trying to tell me the game is unplayable but I've easily made it through quite a few missions on Vice City and had fun doing so
@batata it's not unplayable at all that's just nonsense, I've easily completed every mission so far with no problems. I'm not in anyway suggesting these are good ports but they are better then a 0.5
I've actually been bouncing between Vice City and Animal Crossing these last few days, I suspect in a month or so I'll still be playing Animal Crossing but probably not GTA
I've only really put any time into Vice City and whilst performance isn't very good its very playable and I've had a good time playing it. I've taken the mansion from Ricardo Diaz and the framerate has never got in the way of me completing missions. I've only played GTA 3 briefly and that did seem worse.
It's far from the worst performing game I've ever played, Skyrim on PS3 was way worse for example. Maybe it's because I regularly play retro games so low framerates don't bother me as much but whilst these should obviously be much better, I still think its been overblown somewhat apart from that rain effect which is truly terrible

The game I've been looking forward to most this month and one of the very best games from the Sega Saturn, I can't wait to dive back into this one
Re: Disney Is Releasing A New Free-To-Play Racer On Switch This Summer
@gcunit same but I'll give it a go, my only concern is what content is inevitably locked behind a paywall
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Is Finally Getting DLC
@chipia yeah a Diddy Kong Racing style mode or Sonic R which did something similar even earlier could be good

"Rare goods" you mean walling off content in a game you've paid for so that people can spend more money to access the worthless piece of tat

Well Mario Kart 8 already set off down this road with Zelda, F-Zero and Animal Crossing content, so it's not hard to imagine them expanding upon it
