I would give it an 8, pending updates. My only real complaint so far is that I wish Miis asked for help just a little more often. Helps move the game along and unlock things faster.

That said, I don't get a lot of the reviews that said you'd see everything after about 10 hours. I've played for about 15 hours so far, and I still feel like I'm just scratching the surface. Certainly, at least, there is a lot more stuff for me to unlock still. Part of it might have to do with the amount of Miis I have added so far (I'm only at 15 atm), but I wonder if the reviewers couldn't do the game justice because of the time crunch to get the reviews published.

@SykoMuffin My problem is that the Miis i want to get together so far aren't, and I keep having to put the kibosh on relationships I don't want to happen!

With hardware prices sky high, a silver lining might be that the current generation of consoles is supported a lot longer.

It sounds like a lot of these issues could be solved if Nintendo decides to add more content to the game down the road. Either way, I'm still highly looking forward to playing what's already on offer here.

I am most excited about Tomodachi Life! I have that pre-ordered. I'm also interested in how the konbini game turns out. I probably won't buy any more games this month since I am also revisiting Xenoblade Chronicles X with the Switch 2 upgrade.

I'm pumped for Tomodachi Life. The 16th can't get here fast enough.

I don't understand why the game is being delisted. Do publishers have to pay a fee or something to keep their games on the eShop? If not, why can't they just leave the game as is?

I say this without having played Pokopia yet, but so far the only must-play Switch 2 game for me has been Donkey Kong Bananza. Otherwise, I've purchased more Switch 1 games since getting my Switch 2. And I have Tomodachi Life pre-ordered, which is a Switch 1 game. I'm looking forward to the new Yoshi game and Fire Emblem game, but I don't think those are going to be system sellers.

@gcunit Yes, my understanding of the term is that boomer shooters are FPS games defined by an emphasis on run-and-gun gameplay with lots of explosions (or "booms").

If it really bothers someone, you're only forced to use it on Elephant-specific challenges. If it makes the rest of the game too easy for you, just don't use it.

@Fifwwfwf Ohh, I missed that, maybe I'll experiment with turning that passive ability off.

Not sure if it's a bug, or a wrong ability description, but Isla has a couple of abilities that are supposed to target all enemies, but in fact only hit one at a time.

It would be neat if they did a Pokemon game where you get to pick a starter of any type, or even three starters besides fire, grass, and water.

I wonder how robust the sound composing tools are. That interests me more than Shmup Maker.

I'm excited to see how the game turns out, but for $70, this should be a full physical release, not a game key card.

The games I was interested in, I already knew about or expected, other than Orbitals. But I probably won't play that since it's co-op only and I don't have any friends that play games.

@johnedwin Same here, I expected to buy this ASAP, but now I'm wondering if I should bother. It would be one thing if I never played the original version, but I can't help but feel like I'd be getting ripped off if I buy the new version.

This looks hilarious, and definitely the type of game I'll enjoy. I'm curious how strict the censorship is going to be, but either way I'll have fun trying to circumvent it.

Aren't these games terrible? I remember getting my mom to rent one of the SNES ones when I was a kid and feeling ripped off just renting it.

Too expensive for my tastes, and I've heard bad things about the Nyxi pads for Switch1. I'm still holding out for a Hori Switch Pad Pro 2.

@Pillowpants I also played the demo last night, and it's my first time playing the game on any platform. I could play it on PC, but this isn't the type of game I like to play on PC.

Anyway, yeah, I'm sure I'll get used to the combat eventually, but I found the boss fight very confusing and I had to use like 15 potions between Cloud and Barrett, lol. Might check out a strategy guide before I play the main game.

Does the game really run in 30 fps as in the trailer? That's disappointing, if so.

I hope to get it for Christmas. Otherwise, I'll get it after Christmas.

They could have made this really cool and had online multiplayer. It would take a lot more work, sure, but it would add a lot more value.

I couldn't agree more. I'd rather play a game with a fresh concept that doesn't entirely nail everything perfectly than a well-polished rehash.

I'll still get it! I'm not that interested in online play, and they'll probably fix it soon, anyway.

@Ralek85 I will never stop loving the HD-2D style. My biggest wish is for Square to remake Final Fantasy VI in HD-2D. The game is practically begging for it.

@DsheroX I have the exact same games for Switch 2. The lack of true physical releases is really bumming me out. That said, I prefer digital over game key cards, where the only benefit I can see is resale.
