It would be neat if they did a Pokemon game where you get to pick a starter of any type, or even three starters besides fire, grass, and water.

I wonder how robust the sound composing tools are. That interests me more than Shmup Maker.

I'm excited to see how the game turns out, but for $70, this should be a full physical release, not a game key card.

The games I was interested in, I already knew about or expected, other than Orbitals. But I probably won't play that since it's co-op only and I don't have any friends that play games.

@TheMainMii Yeah, I wonder what the deal is with Decapolice. Looked really cool in the one direct it was in, and then I haven't heard a peep about it since.

@stillpondjosh Well said! I was really excited to get this game until I found out about the "streamlining". I probably won't bother, now.

I'm most looking forward to Tomodachi Life. Other than that, I'm sure the Fire Emblem game will be pretty good, and I'm intrigued by Pokopia. There's probably some third party games coming that I'll enjoy, as well.

@johnedwin Same here, I expected to buy this ASAP, but now I'm wondering if I should bother. It would be one thing if I never played the original version, but I can't help but feel like I'd be getting ripped off if I buy the new version.

This looks hilarious, and definitely the type of game I'll enjoy. I'm curious how strict the censorship is going to be, but either way I'll have fun trying to circumvent it.

Aren't these games terrible? I remember getting my mom to rent one of the SNES ones when I was a kid and feeling ripped off just renting it.

Too expensive for my tastes, and I've heard bad things about the Nyxi pads for Switch1. I'm still holding out for a Hori Switch Pad Pro 2.

@Pillowpants I also played the demo last night, and it's my first time playing the game on any platform. I could play it on PC, but this isn't the type of game I like to play on PC.

Anyway, yeah, I'm sure I'll get used to the combat eventually, but I found the boss fight very confusing and I had to use like 15 potions between Cloud and Barrett, lol. Might check out a strategy guide before I play the main game.

Does the game really run in 30 fps as in the trailer? That's disappointing, if so.

I hope to get it for Christmas. Otherwise, I'll get it after Christmas.

They could have made this really cool and had online multiplayer. It would take a lot more work, sure, but it would add a lot more value.

I couldn't agree more. I'd rather play a game with a fresh concept that doesn't entirely nail everything perfectly than a well-polished rehash.

I'll still get it! I'm not that interested in online play, and they'll probably fix it soon, anyway.

@Ralek85 I will never stop loving the HD-2D style. My biggest wish is for Square to remake Final Fantasy VI in HD-2D. The game is practically begging for it.

@ryan_nil Right, that's my question as well. Is it worth it to get the Switch 2 version, knowing the drawbacks?

@roy130390 Yeah, I want this game if they fix the performance somewhat. I'd love to support a publisher putting out fully physical Switch 2 games.

@DsheroX I have the exact same games for Switch 2. The lack of true physical releases is really bumming me out. That said, I prefer digital over game key cards, where the only benefit I can see is resale.

@PinderSchloss That may be the reason they insisted people not say the game involved wheelchair basketball.

Maybe it's divisive, but it's objectively a good game, especially by NES standards. Whether it holds up as a good Zelda game is a matter of opinion. Personally, I prefer it over Zelda 1.

I am very much looking forward to the game. Dragon Quest VII is my favorite in the series.

I said 5. Bananza is a "killer app" and MKW is good, but third party games leave something to be desired. Even if I ignore the fact that most of them are game key cards, they are mostly ports of old games.

Some good stuff looks to be coming by the end of the year, however.

Can't they just copy data from the cartridge initially and put it on the internal storage? Install the game, if you will.

I never bought the base game because a 30 fps Kirby platformer seemed like a letdown after Mario Odyssey, but I might check it out now!

I'll also say that I've bought a Switch 2 physical that I probably would not have just to support true physical games. Rune Factory: The Guardian of Azuma is full physical on Switch 2. This is a game I was interested in, but probably would have waited for a sale to buy it, if I did at all. Because it is one of the few true physical games available on the Switch 2, though, I went for it. It even comes with a manual, which was a pleasant surprise.

The only way I'm buying game key cards is with a steep discount. I'm sort of looking forward to the format flopping, after which I imagine I'll be able to get some at like $5 a pop.

The game looks good, but I don't know if it's worth $70 to me. Come November, there are going to be other games that I think I'd rather spend my money on.

They deserve high sales for doing a real Switch 2 physical edition.

I didn't realize this game was going to have real-time battles. I'm not excited about that.

I'll probably just buy the Switch version then, unless there are significant improvements with the Switch 2 version. In that case, I still won't get a game key card, though, I'll just buy digital.

They always hook me with HD2D games. I wish I could just inject that art style into my veins, lol.

@jake1421 Ok, but the system is launched. The cat's out of the bag, at this point. It's ridiculous that any developer who wants one can't get a dev kit.

@jarack That's exactly how I feel about the game. It's pretty much perfect aside from occasional camera jank that I don't know is even possible to get completely right, given the nature of the game. If there was a 9.5 out of 10 option, I'd pick that.

Looks nice, but what I'd really like are third party Joy-Con replacements. Particularly, I'm waiting for Hori to update its Split Pad Pro for the Switch 2. Much better for handheld play than the stock Joy-Cons.
