I bought a kirby amiibo because I like the kirbs, that it gives minor unlocks is a neat little bonus. Problem there is if they were all marketed like that, nobody would pay more than $7.99 for them.

still wishing there was a rabbid toad but nintendo was probably worried about toad overload from the paper mario games (instead of... just not putting so many toads into the paper mario games)

Heck yeah, really enjoyed Fire Pro on the GBA, but there's never been an NLife page for me to add it to my collection. I'd buy 2K18 over this if I could only buy one, but I would definitely buy both.

I've always preferred the US SNES because it looks more like a toy to me. I did wish the US had the colorful controller buttons instead of the plain purple ones.

Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Mega Man X (the first one, at least), Yoshi's Island, Super Mario World all terrific games, Mario Kart / F-Zero haven't aged nearly as well but still fun. Mario RPG, Earthbound, Super Castlevania IV all solid. Then you've got FF III / VI, the GOAT. When will Nintendo just put this on the New 3DS VC so I can die in peace?

What I would have preferred here would be Nintendo taking this guy aside and helping transition that into its own game and own universe instead of just shutting it down outright. I get that takes resources, but I think it would do a better job of painting Nintendo as a friendlier company, something they've strived for in the past.

Like it or not though (and I know none of us do), all Nintendo needs to see is one person, one single person saying "well I played AM2R, what's the point in paying $40 for Samus Returns?" - that costs them money. End of story.

it was good to very good not quite reaching great. Hoping "Switch is great for 3rd parties" doesn't turn into "The DS is the ultimate control scheme for FPS" (of which there are still like... none). We gotta at least get Project Mirai onto the switch somehow right? Would have liked VC info, nobody wants to lug around three consoles and portables worth of games when they can do it with one.

The good: the Kirbs, Unlike some games where I get tired of how formulaic they are, this never happens with Kirby. Metroid II remake (people whining about Metroid better buy this so we can get an actual honest to god new 2D metroid down the line) is a purchase. Mario Odyssey looked spectacular. I'm almost ready to buy a Switch for it, just need a little more push (and having played the ARMS testpunch, good god it's not that).

Now, Nintendo claims to have learned a lot from the demand for the NES mini, but "people want to play all their games including the old ones in one place and not have to use three or four systems for it" doesn't seem to be one of them.

The overworld gimmick kind of interested me with 4 but between that and the remakes and my limited SD card space I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go.

Waiting for the 3DS version of Gunvolt Burst, downloaded the Miitopia and Ever Oasis demos.

Let's talk about my Miitopia demo experience. Here I am, a Captain Falcon Mii, and heaven help us all when Luigi appears to steal the faces of all these poor NPC villagers that come from other people and not your own set of miis. Captain Falcon didn't expect to be helping Daniel Craig, Peter Griffin, Woodrow Wilson and Shaq get their faces back, and he certainly didn't expect to be joined on his journey by Beyonce wielding a sword.

I haven't laughed this hard at a video game since that stupid tree-cutting cats game in Rhythm Heaven

Preparing myself for like five or six worlds hoping for fifteen.

Terrific first party, discouraging third parties (where's the indies reel?), good overall. Probably about even with Sony's presentation on the whole, but I thought, for probably the first time in a long while, everybody's E3 was good.

Mario Odyssey has me hyped like no game in years. The Kirbs. You can never go wrong with the Kirbs. Good winding-down games for the 3DS.

gameplay footage actually made me less hyped for this game. I may be a fire emblem n00b that started with 3DS, but it's a series with a good bit of history pre-2013, use it. Except Ike, hate that guy.

Unpopular opinion: I hated the original (and its next two sequels were even worse), but the 3DS iteration of Dream Team was good outside of the broken giant battles, Paper Jam... exists I guess?

I'll be interested to see more gameplay footage as we get closer to release.

@yorkshirened @smaman the kirby curse is the tendency for kirby games not to come to a system until the tail-end of its lifespan, which hopefully this isn't.

terrific looking game for the mario style, the DK rabbid got a pretty big laugh from me in the presentation and in the screenshots

I actually enjoyed wii music: the game (fight me) but my god wii music: the E3 presentation, #NeverAgain

It looks like it would be fun with a multiplayer VS aspect and those game mechanics, but as a single player turn based strategy campaign mode, I'll pass for now.

I had so much fun watching kikoskia's LP of Tiny Barbarian and the game just never got finished. It's a game I'd definitely consider buying assuming A) it ever gets finished and B) I eventually get a switch

last year's Sony rapid-fire trailer after trailer, kind of like what MS did after their XBox one X ln X^e dx by showing a bunch of games, launch exclusive or not, whatever. I don't want to see people talking I want to see game trailers and lots of them.

If this goes west I'll be sure to pick it up.

While I always want to see more 3DS games for my never-ending backlog, this E3 for me is all about Mario. Is this game going to make me go get a switch before the holidays or are we looking at a game that has me stick with the full-time portable for FE Warriors and keep it for the Radiant Historias of the world for late 2017 and beyond?

I'm definitely more excited to learn about Mario Odyssey than I ever was Breath of the Wild, and that's not to take anything away from BoTW.
