I have a very high amount of hype for this game, kinda wish it had been a surprise reveal at E3 for my wallet's sake though (and for the 3DS to actually have something at E3, but mostly my wallet)
1) stop taking miifotos to start a session 2) stop taking miifotos every time you get changed, if I want to take a miifoto I will do it myself 3) stop suggesting I share miifotos I already said I didn't want 4) reduce the number of dialogue boxes associated with taking miifotos that I don't want to take and/or share 5) let me change the styling of my apartment like Tomodachi Life 6) kirby hat
@ThomasBW84 I've heard this game actually recognizes the existence of Kirby 64 unlike the previous six entries (in the collectibles and what have you), can you confirm/deny? I'm probably in the minority but that was definitely in my top 3 kirby platformers.
Starting with Gen 1 I lost interest in the meta-game really quickly (I hope you like psychic pokemon guys!) and never really got back into it. The kerfuffle with Mega Rayquaza was honestly the first I had paid it any mind in 15 years. I'd pick mons I liked (and some water mon I didn't care about to use all the stupid water HMs that were required, ugh) and that was that.
I actually just picked up HGSS for the first time finally finding a copy under $50 and I gotta say, it's pretty much the definitive 'mon experience for me only five hours in (the original Gen II games being my favorites going in)
I lost my first copy of this game well after completing it and bought it again couple years ago - it honestly hasn't aged as well as I had hoped (or as well as Mario 64 DS). I've played all five of the New games and Luigi's probably my favorite of the bunch, though I much preferred NSMB Wii's effectively unlimited items.
Witch & Hero demo + forgot to buy the 49 cent Fire Emblem map last week + will have a look at those 3DS discounts + finally have enough platinum points for zelda picross
Solid output and we've got that $1 game hitting next week, good times.
The map, if that's what it looks like at the 1 minute mark, has less water routes than I expected for a Hawai'i region (which is a very good thing, I know other people love running into Tentacool-equivalents every three steps but that's not for me).
The issue comes with these "middle of the pack" games (that somehow end up with 7.5s or 8s out of 10, in part because most people only play games that they want to like and that drags the average upwards) - reading the SFZ review on this site, for example, if that had not had a grade attached I would have assumed the reviewer gave it about a 55 or 60 point score.
Nano Assault's controls are a little iffy if Smash 3DS has done some damage to your control pad. Been struggling with it for half an hour or so. Took four tries to get through the opening level.
well I can count on the 3DS version being delayed a couple more times, at least.
I still think this game is going to be fun, but in order to justify all of this crap (can I say that here) this game has to be outstanding and I just don't see it.
@AlexSora89 I could definitely see a creative region based on Italy but now that you've mentioned it I'm imagining the second region being Spain-inspired attached to Kalos and yes, the Elite 4 is hanging out in Totally-Not-Andorra.
And I can't believe I forgot to second the idea of multiple save files. Yes, please, do this.
Toss HMs, give us a bigger game - let's see 60, 70 hours before we get around to trying to catch em all. Rebattle gym leaders, give us two regions / 16 badges again, that sort of stuff.
Can't say I enjoyed Gunslugs II all that much but I did appreciate the effort on getting not-RPGs on the 3DS and wouldn't have any issue throwing a couple more bucks this developer's way.
I always feel like I'm seeing a way thinner lineup than everyone else, but then I remember my eyesight is too poor to play Monster Hunter and that's where everybody's going to spend their time. I love (non-s) RPGs but I also enjoy non-RPGs and the 3DS lineup in that regard looks pretty surfin weak.
Finally getting a chance to try an Animal Crossing game without shelling out $40 will be an interesting experience. I'm hesitant with FE since I'm so bad at it but we'll see.
" playing rather safe and struggling to go from being 'good' to 'great'."
I definitely felt this way about Triple Deluxe, that it just never took that last step into being an awesome game. It was definitely fun and worth the price though, and I'll be picking this one up when it comes out.
Taking a look at the amiibo challenge and getting 3D classics retail. Did the Humble Bundle as well, worth it for SFIV alone (if you can spare 13,000 blocks on your SD card for it)
"For some, the inclusion of Puyo Puyo 2 alone will make Sega 3D Classics Collection a must-buy."
Are there really people like that?
/walks by a mirror
Oh right, there totally are. Even though I've already got Sonic & Fantasy Zone II (W hyper alpha advance sqrt(-1) 2^3 sigma pi?) it's definitely on the "going to get" list.
The Pocket Card Jockey demo went live late last night so I gave it an hour and change. I give GF credit for trying something new, but goodness it really doesn't work at all. I don't know if this was the idea from the start or whether it was two games. Never had the desire to throw the 3DS at a wall though, unlike their Harmoknight offering with that god forsaken impossible bee boss.
Would have liked to see a demo for one of these on the 3DS because I've never understood the appeal and don't want to shell out $40 on the risk that I still won't.
Kirbs & Gunvolt are the big 2, hoping for a couple more unannounced platformer entries. I expect to pick up one of the Dragon Quest games, not sure which. Sega 3D classics I'll buy for Puyo Puyo alone.
That Kirby 3D rumble looks pretty fun - I bet it would be super fun if you could use the copy abilities in it, say, the bomb ability in this isometric perspective playing field, and leave those bombs lying around for enemies to walk into. Imagine that as a four player multiplayer experience, somebody could make an entire franchise out of that I'd bet. Not sure what I'd call it, any suggestions?
Would prefer to see the lists without remakes, personally. Not that they're bad games (obviously, OoT exists, and everyone knows it's amazing), but it's not fair to lesser known 3DS titles that might be getting a spotlight they otherwise wouldn't be.

Re: Runbow 3DS Retail Edition Spotted on Amazon
On the off chance this is real and workable on the not-new 3DS it's a day 1 buy.
Re: New Sony System Releases Lead the Way in Japanese Charts as Kirby Still Battles On
go kirbs
Re: Guide: A Nintendo Fan's Breakdown of E3 2016's Press Conferences and Events
I'll check in (though mostly from here) but there is literally zero hype for anything nintendo or otherwise.
Re: Sonic Runners, SEGA's Mobile Release by the Sonic Team, is Getting Shut Down
rip the best sonic game since sonic colors DS (a high bar i know)
Re: Poll: Are You Still a Miitomo Regular, or Has The Great Mii Q & A Lost Its Charm?
Probably three or four times a week around 7pm eastern for a few minutes at a time, really wish we could spruce up the apartments somehow.
Re: Video: Marvel at the Madness of Dragon Ball Fusions
There is nothing not incredible about that Buu/Hercule fusion.
Re: Video: Gear Up for Kirby: Planet Robobot With This Extended Overview Trailer

Re: Nintendo Download: 26th May (North America)
Nothing this week, looks like Nintendo is telling me to save my money for the #kirbs.
Re: North America Gets Both StarTropics Games for This Week's Wii U Download Update
They definitely could have ported the first one to the 3DS
It would be pretty neat if the series came back.
Re: SurveyMonkey Intelligence Breaks Down the Declining Usage of Miitomo
suggested improvements for miitomo
1) stop taking miifotos to start a session
2) stop taking miifotos every time you get changed, if I want to take a miifoto I will do it myself
3) stop suggesting I share miifotos I already said I didn't want
4) reduce the number of dialogue boxes associated with taking miifotos that I don't want to take and/or share
5) let me change the styling of my apartment like Tomodachi Life
6) kirby hat

Still waiting for release date for 3DS (it's still listed guys!)

Re: Video: Get Geared Up for Kirby: Planet Robobot With This Overview Trailer
I can see my complaints already:
1) Not enough levels because it's so awesome anything less than 4,000 levels leaves me needing more Kirby
2) Final boss (or if there's a true final boss, that) difficulty totally outside anything else in the game by a ridiculous amount
3) Tons of nostalgia in stickers/keychains &c but still pretending Kirby 64 the Crystal Shards doesn't exist for some reason
Re: Nintendo Download: 19th May (North America)
goin with Digger Dan DX this week - 213 blocks and 99 cents, if it turns out I don't like it, not a huge loss.
Re: Super Smash Bros. 1.1.6 Patch Is Landing Soon On Wii U And 3DS
I would kind of like to see what happens in old replays given the tweaked hitboxes and such.

Re: Digger Dan DX Won't Cost Much When It Arrives on the 3DS eShop
No reason not to pick it up at that point (I can't imagine it takes up five figures worth of SD card blocks)

Re: Nintendo of America Launches eShop 'Super Spring Sale' Discounts on 40 Games
Still need to pick up Fates/Revelation, but $20 for DBZ seems fair and those two will take up my VG budget for April and May.
