I pre-ordered the case. For £14.99 you can't go wrong. And in future I'll get a game case, but when I'm only getting 1 retail game at launch, I'm not in dire need right now...

For launch I've ordered:

Neon Red/Blue Nintendo Switch (Nintendo Store)

Breath of the Wild (Amazon, £46)

Super Bomberman C (Amazon, £48)

I already owned a 128GB card and I intend to go to Argos to get a Zelda case on the day.

The stuff is up now on My Nintendo, but you only get 30% off one game of your choosing.Typical Nintendo tightarses...

I think this is a case of Nintendo honouring their history, rather than being lazy...

Given that virtually every LEGO game ever made has been on Nintendo consoles, it'd be odd if the Switch didn't get this.

How about "no"? The "games" literally in some cases last 0.5 seconds. Most last a couple of seconds.

Nope.

If it's £40-50 a year, offers big discounts, free games and lots of big discounts - them I'd consider paying. If not, I'm out. I barely use online as it is on the WiiU.

As for needing a separate mobile app to do voice chat. Really?! It's 2017. Even 3DS had voice chat.

Nintendo says they didn't bundle it in for cost and profit reasons? Well, given that I bet very few people will splash out £40 on it, they won't be making any profit anyway so they might as well have given it away for "free" with their £280 console...

Out of the box, the Switch will literally have nothing to play on it - it'll be an empty console waiting for a slow drip feed of overpriced games. The Wii came with a game, the 3DS came with various games and 3D apps and the Wii U came with Nintendo Land.

I've got one on order, but I'm seriously considering cancelling it. Everything about Nintendo's approach to this console launch screams longterm failure.

If they ever do give a real reason and "console power" is behind it, we know it's rubbish because they managed to make Borderlands 2 run on PS Vita relatively well.

It's basically "We hate Nintendo".

I originally ordered grey on Amazon, then ordered Red/Blue from Nintendo, but I've changed to The Game Collection so I can get it sent to Iceland. I've never had an issue with them before.

But yeah, nowhere other than Amazon is sold out in the UK.

@Moon I imagine if you put in your preorder weeks ago, you'll be fine. But maybe not those who did it online today.

@Moon The Game website says they haven't been allocated any stock and orders will be filled on a "first ordered, first gets" basis.

So I don't imagine you'll get one on launch day, unless it sells really badly.

Surely the "Snap and Go" cover points to the fact that the console won't have a touch screen, as the whole screen is covered?

The other issue with these main rewards is that they only change them on a 4-monthly basis. That's just 3 times a year...

I have 740 Gold Points and virtually nothing to use them on. And when I do use some, the purchase of the new game just replaces what I spent.

Let us use them for discounts towards things we don't already own!

If €41.99 works out as £34.99 for Pokken Tournament, that'd a good price.

And if €15.99 works out as £9.99 or something for LEGO City on 3DS, that's also a steal.

Whats Island Scan? How do I even unlock it? What does it do? Also, how will people not linked to Pokémon Global Link be counted?

As with everything online at Nintendo it's overly complex and convoluted...

"$9.99 is ridiculous" say people who probably spend $5 on fancy coffee a day...

Given that Xbox One and PS4 are now the industry standard in power, something around this level is good. It means the Switch can't be sidelined due to being too underpowered or difficult to work with, unlike the Wii U.

While some might worry about the PS4 Pro and Xbox 2017, those will be targeted at a specific market with mainly ports and technical demo games and expensive VR add-ons, that virtually 99% of people can't even enjoy fully on their current setups.

20% off for 70 Gold Coins?!

I got one. But link doesn't open on a mobile...

Despite the fact most rewards are bad, and not at all tailored to individuals, the scheme itself makes no sense. Nintendo seem to have no idea how to value coins. For example: The Gold Point reduction structure makes no sense:

50% off = 80 (Gold Coins)
30% off = 20, 40, 50 or 70
25% off = 30
20% off = 10
10% off = 50

This is just a snapshot of one particular week in the EU. It makes no sense.

It was an overly complex sign up to something I needed to read about in a game guide... Hardly initiative or easy to find.

@BakaKnight Hardly surprising given how much a pain in the backside signing up to do challenges is. You need 2 accounts and codes and emails and passwords... A mess.

Who in their right mind would pay £280 for a Wii U, now. In 2016. 3 months before it becomes obsolete.

I paid that way back in 2012.

What may be a "cash grab" to you is a chance for millions of people to play a game, with updated modes and a new handheld Mario campaign, that otherwise couldn't. Also, plenty of people with the Wii U version have also bought this for the on-the-go aspect. The fact they managed to cram this into a 3DS is pretty amazing.

As for the rewards, the new rewards today are OK. Pullblox, Fallblox and Affordable Space Adventures are all great, but most fans will already have them. But for 30% with only 150-400 platinum points, that's a bargain.

Sometimes they want you to use 50 gold points for that kind of discount, which is a joke.

Why does Reggie have such a following? I find him awkward, bumbling and downright boring. He is possibly the complete opposite of what you want when announcing products...

@RyanSilberman While many die hard fans were annoyed, the game got decent reviews. Also, Sticker Star on the 3DS sold almost 2 million units in the end, despite the bad reviews and fan hate.

Wow. Just 33,000 total sales for Paper Mario Wii U in Japan... not good.

As lovely as this is, I hope it is Wii U footage. I hope for Nintendo's sake that whatever the NX is, it is more powerful. Pixilated close by objects are not cool in 2016/17.

This demo sucks... Also, there is now no 3D effect what's so ever and the graphics are... well, grainy.

I'll still buy the full game though...

Never Alone is great, from a cultural viewpoint. Gameplay is so so. But a bargain all the same.

The NX is like Brexit: we know it's coming and we know it's by end of March 2017. But, nobody knows what the NX is, like Brexit, and all this uncertainty is putting buyers off and driving people to abandon Nintendo... And, like the UK Gov., Nintendo is basically sitting on their hands doing nothing in the interim - half entertaining the Wii U and 3DS, like the UK is doing with the EU.

And that's where we are at...

The BBC obviously aren't wanting viewers. Plus, you'll need an account next year and have to pay anyway... No loss.
