I wonder how they choose which email addresses to send too? Spent plenty with Nintendo and nothing. Maybe it's link to Miitomo usage?

I can't be the only one to notice that Nintendo UK & Ireland only allow us Irish enter the competitions when they don't have to spend a penny. I won't even ask if flights and/or accommodation is included.

Edit:

"Winners shall be responsible for any travel, accommodation and associated costs incurred in order to attend the event."

We're effectively ruled out anyway unless we want to spend the price of a Switch to get over to the event. I'll keep my money for the unit itself instead. Thanks though Nintendo! Thanks!

I got the email and entered the competition. The link on the email didn't work when I was using an email app on my android phone, but worked fine when I tried my desktop.

Got the email but had to change browser on my phone to request the desktop version of the email else I couldn't click the button.

It would be nice if Utah had one of these events, seeing as it has the highest interest in the Switch of any state in the US according to Google, but if it doesn't that's fine with me. It's more efficient if these events stay in population centers.

If I win this... yeah, I'll totally be there. But I can't help but think it'll be more hassle than it's worth! London is a nightmare and... the fact that it's there kinda puts me off a bit. I mean, wow, I'd love to play Switch... but London? Hmm... lol

Got it an entered (needed to open in browser on Wii U), slightly gutted there isn't one in Manchester this time (like the 3DS one i attended).Was actually hoping just to get it two months early rather than a hands on, like the original DS with mario 64x4.

I got an email yesterday too, but chances of Nintendo picking more than one average person from RoI to go are extremely slim. And the chances of them picking me? Highly doubtful lol. I'll just wait for the reports online on the 13th and wait for launch to play.

Got the email and entered but it's going to cost getting to London just after the expense of Xmas and the cost of a Switch + games a couple of months later.

They should have done one further North like Manchester to make it more accessible for the rest of the country.
