GameXplain video suggests they ported the mid-2017 PS4 version of the game, and graphically it looks almost identical. Only difference is textures and far off structures. It runs at 720p handheld and upto 1080p docked (normally 900p).

It will be getting updated to parity with other consoles according to the developer.

@GC-161 The 3DS and Wii U had a news feature where you could opt-in to news from Nintendo and sale announcements.

@kirgo It's 4-5 man years. That's 1 year of real time with 4 to 5 people spending that year working on the same thing.

So, in short, it is the same experience as PS4, minus one main update (which was released at the end of 2017 AFTER the Switch version was made), it has exclusive features and content and it runs in 720p handheld/upto 1080p docked? Oh, and further updates are coming?

I enjoy the news feed and the articles are great (miles ahead of the trash they offered on Wii U and 3DS).

However, it took 4-5 man years of work to make? Typical Nintendo. You can't even search for articles or search for channels. And, if you go to the channel list and click a channel, you can't even click on the articles! Sigh

I'll trade-in my 3DS and Wii U versions and get this one 👍

@misfitpierce The 3DS cannot handle anything more than 240p, so it's excusable. The switch however can handle 1080p at 60fps when pushed. It'd be like a PS4 churning out 368p.

It's not on. And I'm not a graphics gamer. But we all need to admit this is poor programming and optimisation.

368p in 2017 is not excusable. End of. Especially with the terrible sharpening they use.

I'm sure it's a great game in theory, but man it plays and looks awful. The handling is terrible full stop. The graphics? Looks like some shovelware title from the Wii era...

Such a shame. I only paid £19 for it but even then it's getting returned.

@Biff_ARMStrong I'm not a "spoiled gamer" either - I'll happily play something at 25-30fps in 720p. However, in 2017, if your modern game plays like a slideshow in parts and still costs $40, you've done something wrong.

And don't try and say it doesn't have massive frame drops because there are plenty of videos out there which prove it clearly does. And it's distracting. What is a shame, because the game looks lovely and I had it on pre-order.

It's a game which is currently available on all 3 current gen consoles. It's not a port. L.A Noire, I'll give you that one.

I'm so disappointed to read this. But also, a 6?! You gave Monopoly a 5 and it has none of these issues...

I picked this up for £24. It's great. It plays well, looks amazing and has plenty of different modes to keep you going - I even won a match (took 1hr 6mins). The fact it gets 5/10 for being too much like real Monopoly just shows why this review is ridiculous.

Terrible unjust review that basically boils down to "I don't like Monopoly".

How are the graphics? It prides itself on being a beautiful game, but these pictures in the article look super blurry. The trailer for the Switch game looks OK, but nowhere as nice as on other consoles.

I like chess, but I can't play properly to save myself. I appreciate the tutorial section!

I really wish they'd just pack everything in together and stick a single price tag on it.

@wariosmith I use Base all the time, and even when I lived in Reykjavik, Iceland they'd send it in time for release and it never was late or missing.

I really wish you'd just publish the charts in full so we can read them. But hey, considering only 300,000+ folk have a Switch that's an amazing feat.

I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10 if you are a series fan, or 8 out of 10 if you've never played before.

For me, it's basically all the same as previous games but with Fire Emblem stars. Graphically, it's a big jump - but it's still very sparse [due to it being on 3DS as well]. The story mode is basic, but it is integrated into the FE gameplay very well - I was surprised. It basically plays like a FE game, but with built-in mass enemy destroying. I'm pleased overall though. Not bad for £39.

I mean, the originals are amazing games but not very deep or graphically impressive, so of course a mobile version would be great. It's basically the 3DS version, but with tents not houses.

My order on Amazon.co.uk is still showing as full price on Prime and delivery date unknown...

Downloaded the Japanese demo months ago and never got round to playing it.

What exactly is the aim of the game? Because it sounds overly simplistic ("one button and a joystick") and only 9 levels for £15 or whatever it is.

I might grab it for £4.99. £10 was always a bit much for what the game turned out to be.

I can't say I'm terribly bothered. I don't buy Nintendo to play big name super fancy games. It's always been that way.

If I want to play 100 car and sport games I'll buy either a PS4, an Xbox One or a PC. But, I can only play Nintendo on Nintendo.

All the 60FPS folk drive me insane. I literally cannot tell the difference. Movies are shown at 25FPS as that's above the level what the human eye can detect individually. Do you all demand TV starts doing 60FPS? No. So be quiet. 30FPS will do me fine, thanks.

It's sold 5m in 6 months. So even at that you'd be looking at 50m more by 2022... Not 130m!

FIFA 18 is cheaper in the UK too - £45.99, vs £49.99 on other consoles.

The graphics are questionable and the controls are clunky, but it's fun. And cost £25.
