Re: Nintendo Should Copy This Feature For Switch 2, But It Probably Won't

Nintendo life loves one thing more than everything: Hidden Sponsorship.

Anyway, who is on retro game gadgets for long time already saw this great totally not sponsor idea fail 3 or 4 times.

Also, devices nowadays have bluetooth conection, if you love a certain layout, just buy a bluetooth controller with that layout... China have many cheap options (maybe they are cheap just because they not spend money paying jounalists)

@-wc- dumping the console keys is not illegal. It's illegal to share, and emulators don't even turn on without it.

It's Nintendo's code, therefore using it is illegal unless you dumped yourself, in that case you need to have a piracy enable switch anyway. So switch emulators are 100% illegal to anyone without a proper switch.

Also, as each key is unique, you can't get from internet legally even if you own a switch.

I'm not against piracy BTW, I'm against this ultra-capitalistic copyright law.

@-wc- Just one little correction to your point:

Emulation indeed is not illegal in most places (in some are). But Nintendo Switch emulation is always piracy for non switch owners.

Why? Just because no switch emulator available work without console keys, those were not reverse engineered nor cracked. So you are required to have a switch to dump those keys, or you are a pirate, even if you're running homebrew software or software that you actually own.

(not that I believe that piracy is any bad, It's quite the opposite to be honest. Software should not have this extreme law protection IMO).

Re: Pokémon Game Boy Titles Dominate 3DS eShop Charts Ahead Of Service Closure

@C-Olimar Wrong.

If you do the 8F glitch on blue or red, or the ws# glitch on yellow, you do get pass all checks because you trick pkm bank to think that it is a distributed mew. It do not make sense on 3DS, but bank still considered it legitimate and you can bring it all the way to the Nintendo Switch, and even use on competitions (don't make sense, as mew is not competitive, but you still can).

For those interested in, I recommend doing this mew glitch on yellow (ws# #m# is the full name), as it is way easier.

step by step guide is on reddit, just type the magical words on google and you get there.

Re: Random: The GB Interceptor Lets You Stream Gameplay From An Unmodified Game Boy

@RupeeClock Hey! I remember you! You were the guy that called the AV Famicom by the name of "top loader"! Good to see that today you did your research.
And as you said right, the Super Gameboy 2 is more accurate, your research failed when you missed the part that people don't like most on the Super Gameboy that is not the clockspeed but the aspect ratio.

The gameboy player on other hand is flawless, maybe your favorite youtuber or tiktoker said otherwise to harvest clicks, but it is flawless. GBI generates a sharper look, but it is obvious that Nintendo did not went on that route because was developing a software for CRTs and not for digital-out-hdmi-plus-upscaler-plus-elgato-pluswhatever. If you don't have all that junk plugged on your gamecube you will never ever notice a GBI superiority (specially for the OG gameboy games).

Re: Hori Reveals New Pokémon-Themed Designs For The Switch Split Pad Fit

@RubyCarbuncle eevee is another one that it is extremely overrated and appears every where. The charmander line, the mews and gengar are other examples.

It is always about gen 1, and the same ones inside gen 1.

Not that Hori is wrong, they need to print their stuff with what will make them more money, but those I said are so repetitive that its gotten boring already. 20 years ago, eevee, pikachu, charmander, etc were already boring clichés.

@BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed I disagree. New Super Mario Bros U is a blast. Amazing level design, full of hidden paths, collectibles gaming modes. The special world and the van gogh levels are simply masterpieces.

If you play the deluxe version on switch, you will get 20+ hours to see everything, it's amazing for a 2D platformer.
