He's right. The leakers ruined all surprises with this announcement. My YouTube feed was constantly flooded with leak information from AndreasRestart, RGT85, and SunbroNation.

It's a shame the leaks ruined any surprise element for this reveal.

We're all underwhelmed by this reveal because of the leaks. That's what we get for eating up any Switch 2 news that came across the internet. The regular casual audience will be the only ones surprised by this reveal.

I'll be buried in so much Xenoblade Chronicles X DE gameplay to even worry about any Switch 2 Direct.

Hopefully this comes to Switch 2.

I think the price and removing Retro Studios from the credits has created a sudden hate for the game. It's really a fantastic game for what you get. 8 full worlds plus a 9th bonus world from the 3DS version.

If this is a standard practice, why are people surprised?

I play primarily docked on Switch. With a bigger screen and bigger form factor to hold on to, I'll probably play Switch 2 undocked more often.

@Tyranexx Throw your backlog to the side and dive in to this game on launch day. You'll love it.

@Rob3008 It's similar. It's an art selection, cool down, recharge, repeat combat system with combos, buffs, and debuffs sprinkled in. Don't go into this game thinking it's turn-based or hack 'n' slash. I think that's what people are most disappointed in with the combat system. Don't just run into battle and start button mashing on arts because it won't work.

The font in the user interface is the best upgrade. We can actually read it. That last few seconds of the trailer shows new areas to explore. Looking forward to that.

I really hope all the leaked images and info is a huge marketing scheme. Nintendo let this stuff leak to mislead us into thinking it's real. Then they reveal something completely different and cause even more mass hysteria. This is easily the best way to get us hyped and talking about it, creating buzz and stock market surges.

I was expecting franchise anniversaries in this article, not specific games.

I somehow missed this article back in April, but I was thinking about this concept last week of being able to map out key moments based on Pokemon generation releases. Elementary school was 1st gen, middle school was 2nd gen, high school was 3rd gen, college was 4th gen, and adult life was 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. I can remember what I was doing in life based on which Pokemon games were new at the time.

If they know nothing about the Switch 2, how do we know that it is backwards and NSO compatible?

I've never heard of over 75% of the list of winners, so I guess I'm out of the loop on gaming this year. Granted, I only have a Switch and PS4. So I haven't played anything new this year with my backlog so huge.

This is on my Wishlist. It's been on sale a few times, and I'll get it next time it is.

Another way to filter through the crap is adding games to my Wish List. Every Thursday, I check the Wish List to see if anything has gone on sale so I can buy it.

It's $30 on the eShop now. Seems like a slap to the face for early adopters of the game who paid full price.

The 3DS version is in my backlog. I got the special edition version with keychain and art book.

This goes to the "wait for a price drop" list for me.
