Probably just a lot of random short platformers I haven't played since this time last year like SMB3 and Yoshi's Island.

If I end up doing something more substantive it'll probably be Danganronpa V3, been wanting to do another run of it before 2x2 comes out. Though I've lately also been really wondering about replaying 13 Sentinels.

Only things on my radar at the moment are Death Match Love Comedy, Mario Tennis, Danganronpa 2x2, and Fortune's Weave. Might pick up FF7 or RE9, kind of remains to be seen, but not dying for them.

Had that stuff turned on last year and still never got anything but an error message when I tried to look at my summary.

Though either way I know my most played Switch or Switch 2 game this year was definitely Hundred Line followed by probably either Pokemon Scarlet or Persona 3 Reload.

@TheExile285 I'm sure there'll be a Switch 2 version of Royal but I can't imagine there'll be a save transfer option, the PS5 version didn't have it.

It'd be a day one buy for me, been pretty into Fitness Boxing 3 lately and the biggest complaint I have with it is the soundtrack is kind of meh which a Persona 5 version would instantly solve.

I really just hope they do some kind of retro rerelease for the anniversary. I'd settle for gens 1 through 3 on NSO but I'd really love it if the DS games could get some kind of rerelease themselves, or even the 3DS ones.

Honestly if they did some kind of separate retro Pokemon game subscription service with Home compatibility I'd pay for it in a heartbeat.

I don't understand why they have an option to share your wish list but not an option to gift games to people.

@rvcolem1 On its own, nothing really, but the fact certain games have her taking more clothes off as a reward based on your completion time is pretty eyerolling.

I like how unhelpful, "After Super but before Fusion," actually is because that doesn't clarify if it's before or after Other M and regardless of your opinions on its quality (and mine aren't high) it's a super significant point in both the overarching plot and Samus's personal journey.

Given how poorly the game runs on significantly better hardware I can't imagine a Switch 2 port would be at all functional.

I'd be down for it, though admittedly I already feel tempted to replay 3 rather than trying out 4 as it is and this wouldn't help.

@molkom I do feel like the story very much starts slow. I really kind of had to force myself through the demo and kind of just decided, "Yeah, sure, why not," pretty last minute on getting the full game but it picks way up after that.

I have the Switch 1 version, don't think I'll bother grabbing the upgrade. Never a game I've been able to develop a taste for and while mouse controls might help it won't resolve my other hangups with it.

I really just want the Steam version of Chrono Trigger ported to consoles, maybe a Switch 2 port of Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2.

The Invincible Collection is routinely on sale for $18 so even if you did want to pay potentially double digits for Space Invaders (which is a pretty big if) there are better purchases you could make.

Never been able to at all develop a taste for Stardew Valley, and the controls are a significant part of why (though not the entirety of it). Might give the upgrade a look given that but not really chomping at the bit to so I dunno.

@shonenjump86 Kodaka's been very open about wanting to do DLC at some point so hopefully that pans out.

@GoldenSunRM V3 isn't actually a direct continuation anyway, it's doing its own thing. The only actual followup to 2 is the 3 anime (and Killer Killer and the OVA but those are their own whole things).

Kind of surprised they've never done a modern port of Kirigiriso. Can't imagine it'd take any real budget or effort to port and there'd probably be at least a few people willing to drop a few bucks on it as a curiosity.

Let's see, all four of the Switch games, 1 + 2, V3, and Ultra Despair Girls on PS4, 1 and 2 on Steam (keep meaning to get V3), so I've contributed to that count 9 times myself. No regrets here (well, maybe some regret for Ultimate Summer Camp) and 2 x 2 will definitely be another I pick up.

Also for anyone curious about Hundred Line it's on sale at a good price right now so consider buying it.

It isn't mentioned in this article but at the moment on both Switch and Steam Hundred Line is only $42, so very worth getting a look for anyone on the fence about it.

I grabbed Cyberpunk during the screw-up there, otherwise probably not going to get anything for now.

I wouldn't be shocked if a ton of the stuff that was planned for the very start of the year gets pushed back a bit now that they're clear from GTA.

@Axecon I'm sure Metaphor will. Soul Hackers 2 was a flop both commercially and in terms of reception so I think they'd rather just ignore it.

@ozwally No, held off on getting it and even if I had I would've put it off since by the time I was done I was VERY ready to be done. I might give it a shot at some point but it's not going to be for right now.

@molkom Debatable what the best is, but if you're starting the series now then start with P5R. It's got a lot of quality of life improvements even compared to vanilla P5, and while P3R came out afterward it kind of has a lot of areas where it does these weird half-measures that are partially modernized, partially still pretty archaic, and it makes it harder to see it as a good jumping on point as a result. I'd say give P5R a shot and if you enjoy that enough then wonder about checking out one of the versions of 3 or 4, and then worry about 1 and 2 after that since they're very different beasts (even from each other) anyway.

I had to glance back and forth for quite awhile to even discern what the difference was.

Bloober Team's had a very impressive glowup the past couple years so hopefully they can keep it up.

The primary thing I know about Wii Party is that the sequel was the only one of the free Mario Kart pack-in games I wasn't able to wheel and deal to get on the cheap when I was first filling out my Wii U library, so no clue what to expect out of this soundtrack. Think there might've been a song from it in Smash Bros.?

@cedarhyped Thanks for the tip. Even the PS5 version has only ever been that cheap one time and it didn't include the DLC so this is almost definitely a mistake.

I finished it up about a month ago so not in any hurry to play it again any time soon but neat to hear. I mostly played it docked and generally thought it ran fine that way, but you could definitely see the struggle handheld even if I don't really think it actually matters too much in a turn-based RPG.

Hundred Line is undoubtedly my favorite game this year and nothing else comes anywhere else.

Generative AI should be completely eradicated.

Bundle is how I got my Switch 2 and benefit of hindsight I would've just gotten the console on its own, but better to have spent an extra $50 on a game I didn't care for than an extra $80 I suppose.

I went for Europe, I think the art looks better against the black than it does the grey of the Japanese one.

Glad to see they're going so heavy with this lately, guess Christmas is a powerful motivator. Hope they fix Kill la Kill at some point, only thing I can think of I have that isn't compatible at this point.

Probably try and wrap up the runs of the original SMRPG and HeartGold I've had going for a bit. Would like to try and clear off those and at least one or two other things before the year's out.

Been increasingly in the mood to replay SMB3 but at this point probably just wait for New Year's to stick it on next year's list.

Been playing the game daily for about a month and a half and it's been going great for me. Unfortunately been very sick the past few days so not had the chance to dig into this update yet.

Not really related but probably should put up something noting that they put up a pretty meaty update for Fitness Boxing 3.

I really need to actually get around to playing the game. Used a voucher on it back when it came out but I'd just played through Pikmin 1 for the first time right before it so I wound up not really being in the mood and I kind of just never got around to it. Even now feel like I'm kind of more eager to replay 3 than I am to get to it.

Anything with card battling is very firmly not my taste so I'll stick to the original, but do hope folks enjoy it.

My only real stance on this is that ever since the 4 remake came out I've been wanting a Revelations 3 with Ashley as one of the leads.

@the_beaver I imagine it'll be fine, was originally a PS4 game and all. Rebirth's going to be the trickier port.

They should've included the Ambassadors of Funk song.

@Troubbble Forgot about Vivillon, only forms of it you can get are Garden and Marine.

I'll grant that I hated Engage, but Three Houses was fantastic and Fortune's Weave looks a lot closer to that so I'm not inclined to completely write off the series at the moment by any means.

The game already has patches on PC that haven't made it to consoles yet and thus it was never going to be feature-complete on cartridge on first print, so I really don't actually see the harm here.

I way prefer the Japanese one, lot more fond of that art style.

Kinda-sorta forgot one in that there's Marvel DLC for Pinball FX.

@Zachuratedphat A few weeks ago one of the system updates apparently broke compatibility with it and caused some issues. I had a bit at the farm where the game had been running perfectly to that point then suddenly locked in place; I was still able to audibly open menus but Leon just endlessly jiggled back and forth in one place.
