Ahead of Nintendo's official announcement of the Switch "successor", the Switch 2 rumour mill has gone into overdrive.
We've already had accessory makers like iVolver and Dbrand claiming they know things about the Switch 2 that the general public doesn't, and with this in mind, a new listing has surfaced online for a "gaming steering wheel for the new Switch 2 console".
Now, admittedly there's no guarantee this is the real deal, but as usual, it's already generating all sorts of speculation on social media. Unsurprisingly, it's got some fans excited about the possibility of a new Mario Kart game. The images also show off what could be the design of the "Switch 2" Joy-Con controllers.
Another image from the same listing includes a controller grip that you insert your Nintendo controller into.
These images come from Hong Kong wholesale website 'Global Sources' and the same page actually shares the dimensions and weight of the steering wheel. The manufacturer listed is MTM Industrial - "a factory specialized in video game accessories" and other gaming-related devices.
This listing follows rumous in September about Switch 2 images and stems from supposed Chinese factory leaks. It was also claimed the new Nintendo system was entering "mass production" and it led to a YouTube channel printing the rumoured system, which showed a larger and slightly more curved design.
Nintendo revealed in May of this year it would announce the Switch "successor" this fiscal year, which ends March 2025.
As usual, take all of this with a massive grain of salt and tell us what you make of this in the comments below.

These joycons are 3D printed most likely, given they lack actual face letters on the buttons.
If think Nintendo wants to get one more Xmas out the way to boost sales before announcing the system, which I get, but at this rate they’ll announce it to little to no excitement as we have already seen it through so many leaks
@Knightrider1 If the game lineup is good then there will still be plenty of excitement.
@Knightrider1 We don't know what the system is actually going to have on it, or what the feature-set is for the thing. Even though we know the form-factor, that's about it. The form of the console.
Oh gee, I wonder what racing game for the Switch 2 might optionally offer motion control for steering... it's a real myster9, sorry mystery.
Nintendo needs to just make with the announcement already. I bet all these rumors are total BS. They did say it would be revealed by the end of the fiscal year and that's real close.
I'll be sad to see the switch go but honestly it's been time for a while now. I just got a copy of MK 1 for switch and the graphics compared to PS5 look like ass. I mean i figured it would but damn! Nintendo really needs to step it up with the power on their next system. Make us feel like we're playing with power again!
I hope the switch successor isn't just a portable PS4 with a bunch of PS4 ports at launch and a mario game or two. It needs to be a beast or it'll be a joke right outta the gate.
@Truegamer79 honestly, i kind of hope it IS. That way, they can keep costs down because id love for this thing to be affordable. From what I understand, the ps4 and ps5 are very similar and most new games release on both, so why not work with older, cheaper hardware thats barely worse than the new stuff? Though i doubt i would be too mad if the console WAS a powerhouse; truth be told im probably gonna buy it either way LOL
Late January can't come soon enough, even just so these odd Switch XL leaks can stop. That's when I guess it could be announced before Nintendo has their financial results briefing after the start of February.
I don't know if a Mario Kart at launch is more likely than a 3D Mario, but I doubt it would be both at the same time. One could be at launch and the other a month later.
@epicgamner
If it's at least on par with a PS4 pro that might be acceptable but the way third party games are so half assed on switch they gotta make the next system capable to handle just about anything developers could throw at it. Otherwise nobody will want to buy third party games on their next system.
I really hope now that ”SW2” is a very different condole from all thise faked ”leaks” So incredibly tired of those attention w***** now. They have zeto shame!
As I tomd before that Nintendo has remained silent now just show that everything we has heard until now are complete BS and nothing else! No way that Nintendo had accepted their console being leaked in this wat, not a chance. Nintendo had then taken down everything, but everything are still intact yet now. So none damage has been done, so 100% fakes then.

It would be awfully nice if Nintendo just announce the stupid thing already.
If the wheels are gonna be real, Nintendo could actually sell them with Mario Kart 9, kinda like how they sold Mario Kart Wii and the Wii Wheel together
People upset really need to chill. There's nothing Nintendo can do about these leaks. We live in a constantly connected world where nothing is really kept secret for long. Phones, cars, shoes, albums, etc...all have been leaked at some point before launch. I really don't understand why this is making so many people angry. Nintendo could've announced the new Switch earlier this year but we all know why they didn't. They wanted to squeeze more holiday sales out of the current console which is fine in my opinion. A business wants to make as much money as possible from their product. These leaks won't affect anyone's enjoyment of the Switch 2 or whatever it'll be called once it's released.
@LavenderShroud Why are you so angry?😐😆 You aren't forced to click on the articles. It's not that serious to get this upset over rumors
@AllBLK
Well said.

But why are the Switch 2 accessories look worst than Switch 1 accessories? Also who the heck want one analog stick on their Pro controller with Switch 2 when you could already get two analog sticks on your Pro controller with Switch 1?
These are Switch 1 accessories

I'm excited for the reveal of the console regardless of the leaks. For all we know, these leaks could have been totally fake. Speculating is the only fun thing to really do lately as it's been basically complete silence on Nintendo's end for like six months.
@Truegamer79 Not so close actually, the end of the fiscal year for Nintendo is March 2025. We may have to wait 3 more months before getting any official information.
@LavenderShroud @Keman The form factor of the console is real, just not the image here. The image here is a 3D printed version of the new joycon, given the absence of letters on the button faces.
There was a leak from a Chinese factory a couple of months ago that had a full 3D model which showcased the schematics of the console. That is a real leak as far as any of us are concerned, given that the shell for the console was made out of industrial materials that an average person wouldn't have lying around anywhere.
I'm someone who doesn't ordinarily believe leaks, but given how real the original image was, and how so many of these reputable manufacturers are literally creating accessories for this console- the leaks are pretty much real- regardless if Nintendo is confirming it or not.
@Serpenterror You do realize that multiple companies make accessories for these consoles, right? And not all of them are Nintendo first party like the pro-controller.
The steering wheel you posted isn't the official one that Nintendo made. The Nintendo official steering wheels look exactly like the one shown in this rumor, albeit a slight bit smaller due to how the Switch 1's joycons are smaller than the Switch 2's.
@Dev1024 I bet it will be both Mario and Mariokart; if they want the same kinda momentum they had in 2017. I also think there will be a Zelda BotW remaster, and a higher fidelity Metroid Prime 4
@LavenderShroud That’s par for the course for the holidays.
I joked to myself and a couple friends that every day will be another day of Nintendo not announcing Switch 2, but instead someone else or something else revealing something about it and man I think that is true.
Feels like pretty much every day we find out a small nugget or two about Switch 2 lmao.
The wheel triggers deconfirm the release button being usable as a Z button...... unless they are saving that for GameCube NSO.
And again Nintendo is preparing the thanos snapp.
@Knightrider1 It's the games that make a console launch and with Nintendo, more than the competition, the features. No one bought a Wii based on what it looked like but based on motion control bowling. Hopefully early in the new year we will get a look at the thing in action.
Now that we are getting more accessory leaks, I am thinking they know a lot less then they are letting on. These are "maybe prototypes made in anticipation", based on rumours they've been fed.
I have a feeling if these latest news articles are true then we'll see a reveal and launch real soon, a few months. Or knowing Nintendo it'll be November next year.....
The joycon designs all these mock-ups are based upon look fake to me.
So it's exactly the same as the Switch. I highly doubt that Nintendo would do that.
@LEGEND_MARIOID I'm not sure accessory manufacturers would waste their time and money making accessories based on rumours. Likely they have information we don't so their products can be ready for launch.
@Knightrider1 I'm somewhat thankful for the leaks as I was worried the Switch 2 wouldn't be simply Switch 2. I'd be so annoyed if it was something different.
I'm pretty sure that:
1. Nintendo will announce the new console in the February Direct.
2. We will have seen the hardware and heard about final specs by then.
@Clyde_Radcliffe To be honest I'm not so sure. Switch may soon be the second best selling console of all time. They may feel the publicity they get from producing a few prototypes may be worth it? I don't know. (Then again, it's a roll of the dice if they get it wrong, I suppose)
As usual, we'll just have to see if this is based on actual information (other than the sizes which is more likely than not considering what @Clyde_Radcliffe has already mentioned), especially since Switch's successor getting a new Mario Kart at launch or close to it is a relatively safe guess and even if it didn't happen 8 Deluxe should be playable on it anyway considering it has backward compatibility - again, looking forward to the announcement in itself first and foremost, but I'm also curious to see which "leaks" were true!
What's the black strip on the JoyCon in the top small picture?
It has the system lights there coming out of it.
On the large main picture, the lights are recessed and on white.
On the smaller, it is not shadow, the black is flush with the JoyCon and wheel and the lights are on it!
@Zverik:
Late January?
@Dev1024:
February?
Any and every time Ninty has said "Before the end of 'such and such' " it has ALWAYS been the last day of it.
They will do it on the last day of March.
@Knightrider1 We know just enough gossip for spreading hype with the family around the Christmas tree
