The wording of the press release makes it sound like they're being sponsored by Microsoft or something; specifically calling the Xbox One 'the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft', while simply stating the other systems' names as they are. How odd.

It's not delayed. The game never had a March 2017 release date, Nintendo only ever confirmed it for '2017', that's it.

Everyone has simply been assuming the game would be a Switch launch title, but Nintendo never so much as hinted at that.

Well. That's... Something. Clearly an effort to promote Sun and Moon, although it would've been nice to have some more options available, like Pokémon from gen 1 (which everyone knows and loves, moreso considering the whole Pokémon Go phenomenon...)
Still, pretty fun, and cool to see the Pokémon Company and Twitter team up like this.

It won't be Splatoon, Mario Kart 8 or Smash Bros. ports, as those would have quite a bit of new content added (and they will, if the Switch trailer is anything to go by), and that's stuff Nintendo's development teams will definitely want/need to do themselves.

I don't know anyone who still plays this game, myself included. It's just gotten incredibly boring and leveling up your Pokémon takes way way WAY too long.

People are getting way too worked up over this. To be fair, it really is a bit of an error in NL's reporting on this - it's clearly and obviously a standard size, like the source says, and not a maximum limit at all.

Well that's not bad. Early N64 games used 4MB game carts, while later ones used 64MB. That's a 16x increase - extrapolated to Switch equivalents, that would mean 256GB game carts eventually, lol.

Soon we'll see rumour articles detailing key features and games of Switch's successor, due to launch in 2022.

How anyone (let alone analysts, whose job it is to research and know these thing) could be expecting profits after Nintendo's basically nonexistent output of new games and terrible hardware sales, coupled with the fact they're preparing to launch a major brand-new system and all the R&D that comes with it, is beyond me.

@Captain_Gonru Hm well now that you mention it, Iwata did talk about the Wii U successor before he passed away, mentioning how it would/should be a family of systems, all incorporating compatible software and OS and capable of running the same games (like Apple and its range of iPhones and iPads).

It would be very nice if those games were sequels instead of remasters, to avoid Switch coming across as a port machine. Besides, the teams @ Nintendo have had PLENTY of time to work on completely new installments, what else have they been doing all these years?

It all depends on the game. Mario Kart and Smash demand 60 fps, while something like Zelda doesn't. An F-Zero title would need to be 60 fps in order to be properly playable, but a Metroid game would benefit more from high-end immersive graphics, where 30 fps would be perfectly fine.

Then again, Nintendo and its partners are wizards at pushing their own systems, as some of Wii U's best looking games also run at 60 fps (Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Mario 3D World, DKC Tropical Freeze...)

Anyway! Definitely picking this up, its predecessors were amazingly well done.

A white/blue colour scheme seems very unlikely, considering several Nintendo reps (including Kimishima-san himself) officially stated on several occasions that NX will be 'a clean break' from the Wii brand. Also, 300 bucks for a basic pack (whatever that might be) seems unrealistically high imo.

It'll be delayed well past its original 'March 2017' date, I'm willing to bet good money on that. I could easily see an autumn 2017 launch happening, I wouldn't put it past Nintendo at all.

A 'Monster Hunter-related title' is hardly confirmation of a new mainline MH game (although one's inevitably coming, obviously). If anything, this sounds like confirmation if a spinoff title. It's too carefully worded.

I'm willing to bet serious money NX won't be released by March 2017, but will be delayed as well.

Also, Zelda is definitely not due March 2017, as Nintendo have never said it is, simply stating '2017' for the title, over and over again (whereas for NX they've said 'March 2017' continually).

So finally a way to get candy and power up/evolve rare Pokémon you never come across in the wild (like my poor starter Squirtle)! Excellent. :]

@nf_2 Oh I didn't know that, well then maybe not hundreds, but still dozens. And I live near plenty of water, but still only managed to get 4 or 5 Magikarp. Meanwhile, I've caught well over 100 Rattatas, Weedles, and what must've been over 9,000 Pidgeys. -_-'

I get that some Pokémon are supposed to be rarer than others, but still it would've been nice to see a bit more variety. At this rate, I'll never catch anywhere close to all Pokémon, let alone evolve them... XD

I live in a decent-sized city, and have been using the app daily since about a week after it came out, and so far I've seen less than 40 different Pokémon. :/
