Square Enix has announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2016 that it is releasing an updated version of Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3.
Dubbed Dragon Quest Monsters: Jokers 3 Professional, the enhanced edition adds new scenarios to the base game as well as characters from previous Joker outings. You'll also meet famous monsters from previous entries, too. Players of the original Joker 3 will be able to transfer their save data and import monsters.
The original version of Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 launched in Japan in March this year. It sold 368,000 copies in its first week.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Jokers 3 Professional is due out in Japan on February 9th 2017 and will cost 5,250 Yen.

Any word on localization??
A nice update, hopefully this is the one they choose to bring over if they ever localize it. I still need to start on the second one and I'm on the verge of beating the first one right now.
Another 3ds game announced and yet we keep being told that the nx is likely to be a handheld
@Tsurii I know that but I still find it a little strange that there are so many 3ds titles due to come out in the first half of next year if a new handheld is coming right in the middle of all these games. Even the DS with it's massive install base had very few big titles released once the 3ds was around.
@Vegaphil and PS3 is still receiving titles (Persona at the very least). Its all about how many consumers are still buying games for that system, not lifetime sales.
EDIT: Plus, this is square, they made FFX HD for PS3 months after PS4 launch, to then sell the game again in PS4 and finally exactly 1 year later they put it on Steam, guess for what?
Will be confirmed for... NX yep i said it.
except none at Nintendo has said it's a new handheld and judging by the fact that there's a lot of games still releasing this year and 2017....i don't think NX is going to be a handheld...it's going to be a home console since Just Dance and Breath of Wild are both coming to the NX.....Just Dance has never been on handheld
If this game is launching in February then it has been in development for a long time already. It has no bearing on whether or not NX is a handheld.
On a different note, if DQ VII is selling well (which it is) then hopefully SE will be open to bringing this one over.
I'm slightly torn on this. Loved Joker 1, really struggled with the sequel. Its the only DQ game I've given up on. Might go back one day though.
Despite that I'd almost definitely buy the 3rd one. Think a localisation is unlikely, the second game sold badly I think.
Also- Ratking - love the profile pic!
Blue glowing sci-fi element introduced in a fantasy world, guy jumpin g off a high ledge into the vast wilds...
Where have I seen this before?
I'm kidding, of course. I'm really digging how the style looks in 3D here.

Well, manga fans, expect even fewer chapters of Hunter x Hunter. XD
@NIN10DOXD How so? Yoshihiro Togashi doesn't do any work for Dragon Quest, or video games in general as far as I'm aware. Are you confusing him for Akira Toriyama? He's the one who does the character designs for the series.
The article doesn't mention a system. It's 3DS I assume?
Dang that looks promising
I wish they'd localize this. Which means they won't. Although I shouldn't complain- we did just get DQVII and DQVIII in the 2017 bullpen.
Still, whatever happened to fan translations? DQM: Caravan Heart for GBA was translated. Where is that same dedicated base of DQ fans now?
Really hoping this gets localized in the west. I have Joker 1 and 2 and I would definitely buy 3. The Dragon Warrior Monsters series is similar to Pokemon, but you combine monsters to make new monsters instead of evolving them.
@Mr_Video
It's a running gag. Togashi is a HUGE fan of Dragon Quest, so every time a new game is announced, people joke about HxH being delayed even longer. Same thing goes on with Berserk's Kentaro Miura any time an Idolmaster game comes out.
@JaxonH
Remember when VII was being fan-translated? And then Square Enix C&D'd them? Good times. That being said, there's currently a DQM:1-Remake fan translation that's like 95% finished and is apparently going to be released any day now.
@nacho_chicken Well Square Enix did (mind you eventually) localize DQVII so it is understandable. Granted this is Square Enix they are far worse than Nintendo is when it comes to C&D's even for fan-translations.
@nacho_chicken
Is that the one on DS, which is already localized?
@JaxonH
It's the one for 3DS that was released in Japan in 2012.

I'll try to hope for it, at least. I mean, it's an improved re-release, how could pass up this opportunity?
@Mr_Video No, I'm making the running joke that he takes hiatuses to play the games. I know Toriyama sensei juggles this with Dragon Ball Super.
@nacho_chicken Oh, thanks for clearing that up. I only recently got into Hunter x Hunter, so I'm not really in the loop with the fanbase's inside jokes. Sorry I didn't catch on to that, @NIN10DOXD
