Link already has a voice. You hear it all the time when he grunts, groans, etc. And he certainly doesn’t sound anything like me (which is completely fine — I don’t need him to).

So you may as well have him say a couple lines here and there; in some situations, it’s actually more awkward for him not to say anything at all. I wouldn’t make him loquacious though. It’s okay for him to be a man of few words.

I never thought of doing anything other than getting the game on day 1, though my excitement peaked with the teaser trailer and waned a bit with the subsequent ones. Now this trailer has restored it.

Unfortunately have to agree that each subsequent trailer has gotten me less excited than the one prior. Looking forward to hearing more of what this game is about, but I didn’t expect to still be wondering three months from release.

Will I pay it for this game? Yes.

Does it rub me the wrong way that they may be charging a premium for a game that reuses the engine and assets from a 6-year-old Wii U game? Also yes.

Will I pay it for any other Switch game? Not likely. If it became the standard Switch game price I would reevaluate my purchasing and would probably end up with fewer games going forward.

Alear may or may not be my single favorite design in all of Fire Emblem, but in general Engage’s designs have grown on me. I’m sure that some people will complain vociferously and tell this game to get off their lawn; that seems to be many FE fans’ favorite activity. But it’s good to switch things up a bit, and I think they’ve done that fairly well here. At the end of the day it’s really not that serious.

With Fire Emblem in January and Octopath coming in February, I’m just fine with this change.

Destructoid gave it a 9/10 and Siliconera gave it a 10/10 fwiw.

Pegg needs money that badly? I won't be buying the game for those reasons.

The idea that Nintendo is stealth-dropping a new console in four months is laughable. I imagine late 2024 or 2025.

I was hoping the Somniel would be a bit smaller than the monastery if I’m being honest, but otherwise this preview makes the game sound fantastic. Day 1 for me.

I don’t think they need to be worried at all. As long as their next system is a more-powerful Switch 2 that can still play Switch 1 games, they’re good.

My copy arrived yesterday from Play Asia. I’m sure that more of the same will be just fine for my son, we had fun with the first one.

I’d originally planned to pick up this game once golf was added…but now that it’s here, months later, I find myself wishing it was all on the cart. And they’re probably not going to reprint it like that.

Even if they did, I think I might find myself underwhelmed by the offerings here. Not many sports, not tons of variety with the sports they do have. A bit of a missed opportunity all in all.

I’ve been waiting for a version from Legends Arceus and am surprised they never made it. That should’ve been good to go on day one.

Castlevania and Super Metroid need to be swapped on this list. The Super Metroid entry starts with the sentence, “Another side-scroller!” and it’s the first one discussed. Then the Castlevania entry writes, “who's to say sidescrollers can't also adapt to that HD-2D style?” when one has already been mentioned directly above.

“Kindgom”? Hopefully a typo in the announcement trailer isn’t indicative of a lack of attention to detail in the game itself.

The game looks good, I’ll get it. But I don’t understand the idea of not giving Better Call Saul one’s complete attention.

@Ade117 SMB1 has outsold many franchises. That doesn’t necessarily make them niche, it just means Super Mario Bros. was huge.
