I’d originally planned to pick up this game once golf was added…but now that it’s here, months later, I find myself wishing it was all on the cart. And they’re probably not going to reprint it like that.

Even if they did, I think I might find myself underwhelmed by the offerings here. Not many sports, not tons of variety with the sports they do have. A bit of a missed opportunity all in all.

I’ve been waiting for a version from Legends Arceus and am surprised they never made it. That should’ve been good to go on day one.

@Astral-Grain One website says it features “a severed arm, a body in a bag, and bodily mutations”, so at least that dark for what it’s worth.

Why have they had the same ten paintings in the game forever? I never understood that.

Castlevania and Super Metroid need to be swapped on this list. The Super Metroid entry starts with the sentence, “Another side-scroller!” and it’s the first one discussed. Then the Castlevania entry writes, “who's to say sidescrollers can't also adapt to that HD-2D style?” when one has already been mentioned directly above.

“Kindgom”? Hopefully a typo in the announcement trailer isn’t indicative of a lack of attention to detail in the game itself.

The game looks good, I’ll get it. But I don’t understand the idea of not giving Better Call Saul one’s complete attention.

I’ll get this one for sure. My kids and I had a lot of fun with the first one.

@Ade117 SMB1 has outsold many franchises. That doesn’t necessarily make them niche, it just means Super Mario Bros. was huge.

I bought this one at the time but drifted away without finishing it. This sounds like a good incentive to come back.

I haven’t kept up well with Street Fighter so maybe I’m missing out on something but…Chun-Li looks more realistic while Ryu looks cartoony? He’s comically large. Kind of an odd mix.

Hope they started making those plushes already…

So it’s a 1.6 GB download in June for $20, or a cartridge in September for ~$40. Given those factors I think I’d go digital.

I’ll take remakes of Phantasy Star I - IV, and/or a newly developed Phantasy Star V.

@mystman12 Yes, it’s average. There are too many great games out there — more great games than I’ll ever be able to play — for me to settle for average.

Too bad, I had this one on my list. But there’s no need to spend time or money on a 5/10.

What about Star Fox Guard? It was available as a standalone purchase and has to have sold fewer copies than Zero. It’s kinda fun though.

I wouldn’t be thrilled about it, since I got an OLED fairly recently. But yes I would consider it.

@ThePizzaCheese It’s not fair to say that “nobody bought” Wind Waker. It sold 4.6m copies on GameCube, which is the equivalent of selling 21.9m copies on Switch. BOTW has sold 25.8m copies on Switch, and it’s considered an enormous success.

It’s also not likely that Nintendo will launch new hardware this year. Their own comments to the contrary — and their MK8D DLC strategy — indicate as much.

FWIW, Destructoid gave it a 6 and Siliconera gave it a 5.

This game and retirement both sound great. I’ll keep an eye out.

With the amount of money they’ve made from this game, the DLC tracks really should have been polished to match the visual quality of the main game. That’s the one thing keeping me from buying this.

Not the news I was most hoping for but I’ll take it.

I played when it first came out, and had a good time. I allowed myself to spend $40 on it (my reasoning being that’s what I’d pay for a 3DS game). It probably wasn’t too long afterward that I lost interest. I’ll stick to the main games.

The product photo with the spoon looks disgusting, and achieves the opposite of the intended effect.

And why Pong? That game is 50 years old. Not exactly a timely reference.

@Astral-Grain I don’t own it either, because of the reviews. Game Skinny also gave it a 3/10 and their review details their problems with the game, including bugs.
