I think as Switch owners we have to face the facts that 3rd parties are not going to keep making dumb down ports for Nintendo, so the cloud option really opens the door for more graphically intense games like KH3.

And yet Dragon Quest heroes 1&2 for the west has not come to Switch even though a localisation has been done for the game. It's obvious Square-Enix hates westerners.

Look Nintendo spend some money and get proper desirable 3rd party support like the mini consoles and make a gamepass style service for all your retro games and systems.

So why doesn't Nintendo just spend some money with 3rs parties and make a true Gamepass service with as much as the classic libraries as they can get onto the service and charge one price for it all.

I don't think there is enough dedicated ram to the OS to do native voice chat on the Switch. But the lack of party chat and messaging even through the app means Nintendo doesn't want to do it. Voice chat through the app works great but nobody uses it. Sad.

This is the kind of thing Nintendo needs to do with Virtual Console, make it into a Gamepass like service. Also don't discount the Microsoft/Nintendo love fest. Banjo could be coming to Switch via N64 games.

I am actually excited to try out Labo VR with it...see if games like Breath of the Wild look better.

I am hoping for a Double Dare stage.

It's time for Nintendo to make their own Gamepass like service and spend some actually money to get third parties on board.

I managed to pre-order the white model at Smyths.

I would not be surprised of Pokemon was absent from the releases.

Given the fact the magazine is basically a catalogue ad for all their products this is still a perfect thing to offer on MyNintendo for free w/shipping. The Animal Crossing section and the clothing section is just awesome! I am tempted to buy the Japanese one off ebay.

Why can't Activision release Skylanders Imaginations digitally for Switch with digital characters. That would sell.

Look Nintendo needs to figure out what Nintendo Switch Online is. Is it a less then stellar Virtual Console service? Is it access to online voice chat and stable servers? Is it a bonus programme?

I think given how little is added to NSO for the past couple of years Nintendo is either satisfied with the takeup or they are hopefully planning something bigger. But honestly I have come to the conclusion Nintendo is done with Virtual Console as a whole. Why give away the milk when you can sell it for $60. They could give us GBA Online, but instead they are porting the best games to Switch and charging full whack. And we buy them.

As for NSO online services I suspect they will quietly keep adding more to it (gawd I hope messaging) and making it work better. But I don't think we will see any major improvements until the Switch 2.

And BTW I have to pay £35.00 a year (same as Xbox Live Gold) for NSO because I have a family that uses it.

How about printing more of the actual Dread Amiibos they are all sold out to scalpers and the game isn't even out yet.

Let's hope this signals more karts and updates in the future. This game has potential with more cardboard AR object to buy (think Peaches Castle you drive through) and characters/tracks.

After Link's Awakening sold well even though it's a handheld remake for $60 the greed gloves are off. And basically Nintendo knows if they keep back the catalog they can sell us those games again for $60 each not $10.

Imagine how many more games they would sell if Metroid was in the Switch!

As an aside a friend got the brand new NES with R.O.B. and Duck Hunt with a stack of games. So we spent the weekend and I played and beat the original Metroid. I was 12 and much beter at finishing games then. I also remember years later playjng a smup hellicopter game for 24 hours straight until I beat it. Now I am old and get fed up after an hour.

Nintendo needs to do one of three things with Amiibo..

1. Discontinue them with the last Smash Fighter
2. Embrace toys to life again and fully support within all first party games including Amiibo cards, etc. Make allot more and stock them in retailers intl.
3. Create a My Nintendo Amiibo club. Where those members get first crack af pre-orders and make Amiibo actually about the collectors and not just limited scalper fodder.

Japan does not like us to have their games. I never hear of Skyrim not releasing in the east.

Now I finally have a reason to play Arms. But could also imagine motion support for Streets of Rage 4 with this accessory.

@Exciter89 In Nintendo's defense a phone cost £600-1000 whereas a switch cost £270.

It's a shame it can run on my 3 year old phone hardware but can't run on a Nvidia tegra chip.

Given that this amiibo will probably be £18 and sold out the second it goes on sale it will actually cost £40 on ebay it kinda sucks. But Nintendo has to do something to justify these Amiibos. Amiibos have always been expensive DLC. What is disappointing is there is no other Amiibo functionality that has been detailed. At least with Bowser Amiibo it was something you can easily buy, this one will be rare as hell.

@SirMime Little did you know that years later a fully HD beautiful version of Link's Awakening would come to the Switch with a collector's edition and all.

So the Switch is hoping to sell more consoles this year, then the entire Wii U's lifetime sales with nearly identical software (MK8, Smash, Mario, etc). Oh and the Switch is the first console since the N64 to not have a Call of Duty game. Might suggest CoD isn't such a big deal anymore.

Here is a compromise. Release the japanese version on the Snes nintendo online service. And also have a selector for the English language option in the game. Then it's still a Japanese release but can be accessed by western gamers if they so choose.

What NSO need is simple. Parody with PS4/Xbox in terms of features.

*Party chat (even if through the app)
*Messaging to friends
*System wide game invites
*A better profile system
*Servers and Netcode that work like other platforms

Nobody is mad at Xbox because Xbox Live doesn't give enough old games with their sub. They are happy because the online works and people can communicate and make friends on the network. That is WHY people pay and have done since the OG Xbox.

I know it might seem daft but if Nintendo did some official manuals and let you get them from My Nintendo I am sure people would love it.

I wonder if Switch Pro will use parts that aren't short of supply and be killing it this holiday while PS5/Xbox still has no stock. I think Nintendo is planning to seriously cash in this year.

Fact is the UK has had the strongest of lockdowns off and on since march of 2020. It's clear that TT working from home has not been able to crunch like they normally do to finish a game. There is voice acting to record and all sorts. I think that COVID is mainly to blame here.

At $400 that is a PS5 all digital console. And that is $100 more then the Xbox Series S. So I would be surprised if it goes for that price..

In the UK this has been sold out everywhere since pre-orders went live. Scalpers have plenty on ebay for £150. *****!

I think Square are leaving money on the table. In Japan it's almost 90% switches being sold. People who only own a Switch would be excited to have it as well.

Also EA is spending ZERO on marketing this game and seems content for it to live or die on fans like me.

If I am EA and want to sell games on the Switch then Star Wars Battlefront II is the obvious next release. It should run similar to PVZ and would sell very well on Switch I reckon.

I would be super down for some older Battlefield games such as Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 3/4.

Another shocker is where is Mass Effect or Dragon Age??
