So I wanted to play Dragon Quest Heroes 2 on Steam Deck and I can't because it does t support the DRM. And I checked and most of Square-Enix games are not available because of this.
It's Japanese companies trying desperately to protect their niche games that sold 200,000 copies from being pirated. Good job Square!
@JamesR The ebay scalpers buy em all up before you can even be notified. On ebay now they are selling packs of 4 and so on! It's bloody ridiculous and Nintendo doesn't care!
People don't realise that ARK is an indie game which is basically a tech demo turned into a game. The reason it's so janky and rough is because I don't think they know how to optimise it, or don't bother.
It has sort of taken off despite being a janky AA PC game.
I hate to say this, but I think Nintendo will also be behind the eight-ball when it comes to security. I always though Japan was this world of high tech, but as we are finding out more and more they are the land of Fax Machines and pagers from the 90's.
Cyberpunk style on foot story campaign mixed with racing. Traditional F-Zero racing, but also an open zone city to explore, street racing and battles. Captain Falcon has to fight off the competition in the mean streets of Mute City.
I am firmly in the camp Nintendo is building the Switch 2. I don't think the pro make any sense from a business standpoint.
What makes allot of sense is a new dock that upscales the image to 1440p and without adjustments by developers could lower the resolution of games for better frame rates and then upscale back to 1080p.
@Anti-Matter Right, this is clearly a mobile game. All mobile games that want to make any money are free to play. It is just how it is. They aren't going to change that because you don't like it. I like that mobile games come to Switch.
Everyone there at Activision is just waiting for the legal to finish up and the ink to dry on the deal with Microsoft and then everyone walks away with a golden parachute.
@Stocksy If the US is getting 10 we have no chance. Even scalper prices will eventually go down when Nintendo releases the gold N64/GoldenEye controller.
@BobLong-RickTangle they could fix the issue simply by making more. I think the problem is they are made in China and boats are stuck in ports. Everything is running low.
@Magrane This is what we used to call an XBLA game. It was never going to come to an expensive cart to sell for $30. LRG is basically just created overpriced but fun physical collector editions.
If Nintendo put a music app on the Switch and put their vast sound collection on there and added it to the NSO Expansion Pak, I promise you it would explode with subscribers.
I literally think the reason they haven't done it is there is no sound producers free who they could give the job to. They won't carve out resources and time for it, no it would have to be a weekends and nights passion project from some senior sound person at Nintendo.
So my wife recently had a distant great aunt die and leave some thousands to her. And so we are planning a trip to America and I am trying to convince her California! But I wish they would built thr Florida Nintendo World first!
You know what, why doesn't Nintendo just take up pre-orders again and then ship them as soon as they come into stock.
I mean where at the 10 controllers they are selling coming from? A lost crate somewhere in China?? Surely they should be making millions of these and selling them worldwide with subscription bundles in stores.
Honestly I would give this one the Metroid Prime treatment. I would make a third person cyberpunk semi-open world to explore, do on foot combat and quest systems and then also have the epic races both on official tracks and in the streets.

Re: Site News: So, Where's Our Sonic Frontiers Review?
Despite their words that the Switch version is quality, they only released and show pc footage.
I don't think they are as confident of the Switch Port since they have hidden it.
Re: Rare On GoldenEye 007's Return: "We Just Kept Talking Until We Made It Happen"
If I was Nintendo I would make a golden N64 controller, it would be pure scalper fuel, but would be awesome to have.

Re: Nintendo Is Apparently Not Involved In The New Switch DRM Initiative
@Waka_the_Prophet what if you scan a book and put the pictures online for people to read, is that stealing in your opinion?
Re: Nintendo Is Apparently Not Involved In The New Switch DRM Initiative
What needs to happen is older retro titles need to be free from all copyright like movies are after awhile.
Atari 2600 games and original Nintendo games should public domain.

Re: Kirby's Dream Buffet Announced For Switch, Looks A Lot Like Fall Guys
Still mad about missing the N64 controller, but Kirby Fall Guys might cheer me up.
This may be a NSO exclusive similar to Pacman 99 and Tetris 99.

@andyg1412 they go for £120 on eBay!

Re: Where To Buy The Splatoon 3 Nintendo Switch OLED Model Console And Pro Controller
Look folks I doubt we are going to get a Pro, if we don't see it before Breath of the Wild 2 then we will be waiting for Switch 2.

@acNewUpdates Special edition and inflation.

Re: Nintendo Supply Chain Disruptions See Switch Sales Fall By 33% In Japan
If they cannot even source the parts to sell the demand of the Switch we have, how are they going to support a Switch Pro?
I cannot see Nintendo doing a Switch Pro with these conditions, it will cost them an arm and leg.
Re: Rumour: Planned Remasters For GTA IV And Red Dead Redemption Have Apparently Been Scrapped
When you give us three mobile games that run worse then on my phone what do you expect?
At last GTA and Red Dead would run great on Switch and not be bad ports of a port.
Shame Rockstar doesn't like money.

Re: Random: Nintendo Shareholder Apparently Asked For A New F-Zero At General Meeting
We are never getting Gamecube coming to NSO. So a remake of F-Zero GX is far more likely then you think.
Re: Random: Nintendo Shareholder Apparently Asked For A New F-Zero At General Meeting
Here is my elevator pitch for F-Zero.
Cyberpunk style on foot story campaign mixed with racing. Traditional F-Zero racing, but also an open zone city to explore, street racing and battles. Captain Falcon has to fight off the competition in the mean streets of Mute City.

@Courtest1 If they wanted to seriously make money sell the controller with 12 months of NSO+Expansion pack for like $100 at Walmart.
Re: YouTuber Ends Metroid Prime Music Covers After Nintendo's Lawyers Call
if I was Nintendo I would introduce at the June Direct "Nintendo Radio" which is an app added to the NSO Expansion Pack.
Music streams and on demand Nintendo Music. Would be cheap or free for them and create more value for the service.
