Like many other video game icons this year, Crash Bandicoot is also celebrating a major anniversary. Believe it or not, but the former PlayStation mascot has now been around for 25 years.
If you've been interested in some of his newer releases recently, but haven't been willing to fork out the higher prices for these offerings, now might be the perfect time to jump into the universe of Crash and co.
Activision is offering a special anniversary bundle including Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (featuring the first three Crash Bandicoot games) and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.
This bundle is available on the North American eShop for the sale price of $59.99 (normally $99.99) and in the UK it's going for £57.59 instead of £95.99. Those are some huge savings compared to buying all three games separately.
There's also a special Quadrilogy bundle containing Crash 4 and the N. Sane Trilogy for $41.99 / £41.99 (normally $69.99 / £69.99). This sale ends on 27th July, so be sure to make use of this offer while you can. Will you celebrate the Crash Bandicoot anniversary with this special Crash Bandicoot - Crashiversary Bundle offer? Yep sure, I got all them but racing, I didn't like it to much when the trail rolled around but itssprobably bc I play a lot of mario kart LOL, Also crash 4, this is a warning, I will 100% you!
Also if you have been meaning to play any of the crash games just buy this bundle, and do it now!
That is a great deal if you haven't bought any of the games, it's basically an all access pass to the Crash games.
Got the trilogy and CTR. Would be tempted to trade in for the bundle if there was a physical option.
Is there a Xbox deal?
This is a great deal for any crash fan.
@sixrings Yes, it's available on Xbox and PlayStation as well.
I'm never playing CTR Racing again until they bring back the rewarded skin decals from the grand prix.
That is admittedly a very tempting offer but I'm going to pass.
If this was a physical bundle deal, I'd be down!
A premium physical release with all three games on a single 32GB cartridge would be one way to celebrate the anniversary.
Digital only so think I’d rather buy the physicals omitting the crash racing
Ahhhh, why must I be cursed with this decision. I already have ctr and the trilogy on PlayStation but I don’t play on the PlayStation very much so this would be great for switch and I’ve been looking into buying crash 4 for a while. However crash 4 is currently on sale on PlayStation for $35 and I’m not sure if I want to sacrifice the graphics and frame rate on crash 4. Most of the time I don’t really mind lower frame rates, but crash 4 seems like that extra frame rate may help with the harder nature of the game.
I already have them on PS4 but it’s a great deal for those that doesn’t have then (I didn’t like Crash 4 but the price is still good for 5 games)
Celebrating 25 years of Naughty Dog being unable to identify quality game design mechanics if they walked up and said hello.
@DiamondJim The bundle is available on the eShop in Australia for $104.95 (40% off its regular price of $174.95).
You can also opt with a Quadrilogy bundle (Crash 4 and the trilogy) for $73.95 (40% off the regular price of $123.95).
Holy smokes, I didn’t realize crash 4 had already come out in Switch! Was it a good port? I guess I need to look up reviews that I apparently missed..
@NinChocolate Yeah, and for a time at least, it was one of the few games cheaper physically on Switch to boot over that of other consoles! I about fainted.
That's a crazy value
I don't even like crash but my god a deal like that is just naturally tempting regardless of what game it is.
@NinChocolate It's a really great port, i played it recently
@NEStalgia You beat me to it; other than Mario 64, Rare’s games, and a handful of others, most 3D platformers of the time were garbage, including the Crash games. Sloppy controls, bad camera angles, choppy graphics (although the latter is probably remedied in these remastered versions), what’s not to dislike?
Here to make an obligatory "Crash for Smash" comment. That is all.
What a great bundle! Totally worth it.
Great games indeed.
"There's also a special Quadrilogy bundle containing Crash 4 and the N. Sane Trilogy for $41.99 / £41.99 (normally $69.99 / £69.99)"
Is there a mistake here or did they forget about currency rates for that particular bundle?
Have all anyway but would've loved to get all games as a bundle. All good games but 4 surprisingly didn't grab me.
Pretty nice deal, unfortunately the deal becomes les attractive since it is only for the licenses. A physical bundled would have rocked.
...and as usual the UK gets stiffed. It's not even available on the UK store, yet it is in the US one.
If you've ever been on the fence as a Nintendo purist, the time to change your mind is now. Crash 4 went a bit overboard with the difficulty, but this deal is a no-brainer. You get basically half of what was good about PS1 (Spyro being the other half) for a ridiculously tempting price.
Man, having these games on Switch feels good.
On Switch I've only got "Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled"
As for "Crash 4", I don't want to get a next-gen game on Switch.
And "N. Sane Trilogy" is free on Playstation Plus Collection ...eventually I'll be able to afford and find a PS5.
This looks like it's really inly available in the US store, not in Europe... Or maybe I just couldn't find it?
Why can't Activision release Skylanders Imaginations digitally for Switch with digital characters. That would sell.
This is a great deal. Crash 3 especially is a great game and the remakes are really good, they make the originals look really janky.
I've already got the two good crash games that are on switch so i'll pass on the third.
Interesting how this seems to be more of a celebrated series this year than Zelda is. I get the pandemic probably is to blame but it seems like Nintendo did pretty much absolutely no advanced planning for Zelda's anniversary.
@Liam_Doolan man Australia gets screwed on game pricing.
This bundle coming out in light of the recent accusations that have been made against Activision's harassment of their employees really puts into perspective how their trying to distract people from the controversy that's still occurring.
Seems people here are also unaware or have a short attention span since no one makes mention of it.
I hope some of you realize what's been happening and still currently going on in Activision right now and how they're trying to get away with it because of how greedy they've become as well as corrupt.
Just so some of you might want to know, the CEO of Activision, Bobby Kotick, keeps getting pay raises each year in the millions while also firing many of the company's employees so he won't have to pay higher salaries for them. And he was in Jeffrey Epstein's book of contacts. You know, that Epstein that had a private island that had underage kids in it and I shouldn't have to explain what's been going on there, you can put two and two together.
So I hope you understand what type of person is currently still in charge of Activision and making these decisions.
All these games are regularly on sale, so the price for this bundle is about the same as it would be buying all three when they're on sale.
This definitely aged horribly in just a couple days 💀
