2026 is going to be a banger of a year. Nintendo launched with a $500 console and it has sold record numbers, Christmas was not about buying your kids the new $500 console! The people buying it are adult fans of Nintendo who have been waiting. Nintendo also has not yet given us the true next gen games. But worry not they are about to make another $bil with Mario Galaxy Movie

I predict a partner direct this month

Once we have Switch 2 VR what doors could this open for Nintendo to make more VR games, I for one am going to try Breath of the Wild VR in higher fps and resolution

Amiibo's are really just for collectors now, Nintendo has not been really doing much in game, when they do add a cosmetic feature like in Metroid people loose their rag! But it is CLEAR that Nintendo is pushing amiibo again (even at high price points) because they need that extra revenue to offset hardware losses. Amiibo are high margin products and people are still buying them!

Something is has not been reported yet is Amiibo is shown to be supported in the eShop listing on the console. Now we don't know if they will return to full blown FP's like Ultra Slam, but they are going to be used in the first time since Ultra Slam.

It would be the ultimate flex if EA brought Battlefield before CoD but they could care less.

Just pre-ordered the Metroid cushion, glasses and ice cube trays! Jan is going to be Metroid month!

I really hope Microsoft release SOMETHING Call of Duty on Switch 2 soon!

I do believe Nintendo will use the Virtual Boy stand for other games as well in the future.

We are going to have every Xbox franchise on Switch before we get Call of Duty the ONE series that was promised in a 10 year deal! If Microsoft wants to build some good will for god sakes announce the game is coming to Switch 2!!!!

Worst case scenario is they support the switch 1 longer, they increase profits with services like NSO and their other ventures like movies and theme parks will also be unaffected. Sony’s primary business is PlayStation now, they are in real trouble!

On series x you need mods to get it to 60fps but switch is the only platform where no mods are supported l, would have been nice to see then add that.

It is a shame that NOA/NOE can't just copy/paste the Japanese website translated (I am sure AI could do it easy) and make it available globally.

@Suketoudara This is pure speculation but I think next year we are going to see a revamp of NSO with price increases and new things like themes tied to it.

So Skyward Sword did get released in HD and so did Xenoblade chronicles and Galaxy 2 is in 4K

I think Tostarina has much more lore the Tokyo team were interested in.

My biggest worry is this will be a labyrinthine puzzle/scan-athon with a bit of combat and boss fights, the desert is pretty much just lore, no real substance and everything is scripted set pieces instead of true exploration.

There will be no cool cosmetic unlocks for your bike, or upgrade trees or anything. We are 3 weeks away and I still feel how I did about BANANZA before the Direct blew open the doors.

It is a terrible English version of the Japanese one which is pretty good!

Actually Switch HAS proper Xbox Live/PSN style party chat now up to 12 people. The ONLY big downside is there is no drop-in/drop-out in the party. Hopefully that will get patched in the future.

Unfortunate that physical isn't available until after Christmas, but in the UK Amazon his Switch 1 cart for £44.99. So with £5.00 upgrade makes it less than launch for Switch!

Yes they are spendy, but they are really really nice. I got my Metroid Prime 4 Amiibo's today and they are so choice! Yes the quality is very high.

Everyone is moving towards hybrid or portable gaming, Nintendo has really shown the way with that. And as more developers Taylor their games for that Switch 2 will benefits from it first.

Jensen from Nvidia went out of his way to make a video about the power of Switch 2, clearly proud of it. Nintendo are actually making cutting edge silicone, they aren’t just toy makers.

Seriously Disney needs to watch out, if the next Mario movie goes hard Rosalina could be the new Elsa. And not just to Amiibo collectors in 2015.

You know the obvious way to deal with demand is offer a guaranteed entry for a higher price. The lottery system only goes so far. They should offer higher priced tickets for tourist and the like that can afford to pay more and only have a short amount of time to visit.

@nukatha according to reviews for Gameshare in general local co-op to another Switch is flawless, but online Gameshare could have issues.

@MarioLinkSamus yes Gameshare streams the game apparently with no issues with local co-op and even to Switch 1 and Lite, also you can play co-op online with two Switch 2 systems and 1 copy of the game.
