Does that delay mean the physical release is ACTUALLY physical? I'll gladly wait two more months for that.

It's a great decision specifically because Y is horizontal punch and X is punch upward. That context is what makes it smart. Doesn't stop me trying to jump with X after a BotW session, of course. But I play Kingdom Hearts, so jump on the right button isn't that weird.

@BJQ1972 Yeah, I fixed it today. 6 clicks for my TV as figured out from a tech tutorial on YouTube. Looks much better now. How rude of Nintendo to reset that.

This update seems to have done something to my HDR and/or brightness settings, 'cause the TV display is significantly brighter after the update than before without me manually changing anything.

I had an entire tree in the Lost Woods pop in tonight...before it did, the treasure chest in its mouth was floating. This was pre-update.

I wish they would go in and fix uncollectible chests. The one in Hateno in BotW is still there, and it's quite annoying when I'm usually tracking chests by default.

@DarkAngelus31 I do delete them... they're still on the Virtual Game Cards menu until you hide them.

I guess you could do that, sure...I'm using that feature to clean up worthless old demos and online betas from my software list.

@jorel262 Just like N64 games, where third parties wouldn't pony up for battery back-up in their carts. At least this time it doesn't cause a long-term problem with emulation...

@pikachupikachup That feels unlikely because Nintendo's own first party games are coming in on the lower end between 8 and 64...seems like they'd have to still have the 32 option. Could be real though, IDK. Dumb as hell if it is.

@NintendoByNature: It appears that the Japanese release is a Game Key Card, but the American one is a real game. It's easy to see how that got around and confused some people.

@Axecon: Physical media is the entire point with those companies. No way in hell they start using Game Key Cards, they'll just actually charge whatever manufacturing markup they deem necessary.

Never mind the box design, the far larger problem is that there's no physical copy of the Switch 2 version of the game at all! The only option they're giving us is buying a Switch card bundled with the Switch 2 upgrade download? That ROYALLY sucks, and appears to be the case across the board for Switch 2 Editions.

Real shame about the soundtrack, especially since Pepper Steak is pretty much all I know of the game. That said, I really like White Meat too and I won't let the change stop me giving the game a go, especially with Fangamer doing a physical release.

American app updated, and we have all three box arts in place...scanned so precisely that Vectorman has a contest advertisement in the lower left corner.

I put a lot of work into attaching the album art for all the K.K. Slider airchecks to the tracks on my Walkman over a decade ago... it's a detail I love, and this app includes it effortlessly. Great first impression for me.

I figured they were out of their minds to suggest applications would be open for days, but more than two seconds would have been nice. Refreshed the page the instant 11am EDT hit and it was already closed.

@Perpetual_Change Broadly speaking, I don't disagree with you...but it does seem like a strained argument when we're talking specifically about a puzzle game that was designed around matching COLORS, and the color version is readily available. I'll happily play B&W classics like Donkey Kong (94) and Mole Mania whenever they put them out, those games were made for the system they were released on. Dr. Mario in particular stands out as an odd case where I don't think most people will see a point playing the compromised version nowadays.

@Magrane You know what, fair enough. More options instead of fewer is good, especially since nostalgia can be very specific. Turns out I was wrong thinking NES Dr. Mario wasn't on there. Gameboy before NES would be weird for Dr. Mario. After, it's nice for those who want it.

@JohnnyMind You misunderstand. The only other Dr. Mario available on Switch Online is Dr. Mario 64, which does require the expansion pack. The point was that game is in color, Gameboy Dr. Mario isn't. Extremely weird release choice. Why on Earth would they put up Gameboy Dr. Mario instead of NES?

I had to say I "rarely" buy used because ONE Switch game I own was used. An impulse buy of a title I had never heard of when I saw it on the shelf, and I don't think was available new anymore.

But trade in? Never. I had a habit of that kind of thing when I was younger, and the regret doesn't die. Now I collect.

@Yosher They appear at a very conspicuous rock cliff one room over from the desert after a cutscene where they are introduced in Monstro Town. It's all well communicated in game so if you don't know, you probably haven't gotten there yet.

They had me as soon as they confirmed Another Code contains BOTH games. Was mad they put the sequel out in English, but only across the pond on a region-locked console. It's about damned time that's rectified.

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong remake...sure didn't see THAT coming. I'm all for a return to that gameplay rather than what its sequels became, though.

@ndunsmo Nintendo developed Quest For Camelot, apparently. I only learned this myself recently, but I have to assume that has a LOT to do with its inclusion here.

I got 12... embarrassed to goof the Gloom Hands, but there's no reason I should know how high the map goes and it's been WAY too long since the start of the game to remember the very first line. Well, I say that, but I remembered the first blood moon line...heck, IDK.

Sounds interesting...shame the lack of mention in Western Directs probably means we won't even get it.

Huh...they made the king's voice so high and squeaky in English. I'm kinda surprised it's deep in Japanese.

I have no idea how likely this is to come out here. The localization already exists, but it was Atlus and their licences don't tend to hold out too long. Would love it if they can pull it off, though.

@Darknyht The pixel remaster series are rebuilt games, not measly emulation. I really don't get why so many people think they should be THAT cheap.

@Rosona The official Final Fantasy Facebook page posted this news over four hours ago. I was lucky enough to see it mere minutes later. You are correct that the Square Enix page did NOT post it. Sorry for the misleading comment.

Even at that high price, it's still about $20 CHEAPER than downloading all six games at full price on mobile or PC now. Glad I got my news from Squenix themselves on FB though, as I made my order two hours before this article was posted.

I LOVE Hades. One of my favorite games of all time, seriously. So I'm horribly disappointed to hear this one is going through PC Early Access again before we get a finished game. The wait is going to be agonizing...

I enjoy the history aspect of this kind of thing, and this review praising this title in that regard specifically raises my interest in the game significantly. Too few retro collections put much effort into that realm.

This is what I've been waiting for over the years. Drove me nuts every time Build-A-Bear put out any other Pokémon before this one. #216 FTW!

@LastFootnote I HAVE played them and I didn't know he worked on any of them until now. My knowledge of his body of work starts and ends with Chrono.

Thinga tied to frame rate in programming on N64 is so weirdly common. I have no idea if it was really the best way to handle things at the time, but it sure as hell complicated emulation. What's pathetic is that Nintendo didn't catch this glaring issue before launch.

I have roughly 400, majority of which are physical, yet I still have storage issues with my 128GB SD. I guess you have to be running a cool 2 TB to have this problem.

With the crazy high price and shipping, demand will be significantly lower as well. Such a shame, it could've been a good product. Just seems like they're pushing it out to die.

THIS is what games need instead of censorship without options. I don't mind people having this choice so long as it isn't forced on everybody. In fact, I quite like it!

I played the first two way back when. Didn't even know there was a third, but I have seen one of those spinoff games on a digital store and I was hella confused recognizing the character on a title whose description made zero mention of Touch Detective. I would like this to be released here, but IDK how likely it is if English isn't even included in the Japanese release.

Impressively dumb move given the company's history with the subject. Backpedal is hilarious. All in all, pretty harmless...and in fairness to them, I'd think you'd want to at least have the OPTION for multiplayer with your loved ones.
