Good on their lack of censorship. We somehow love our violence but can't wrap our heads around nudity/sexual themes without losing our minds. Weird monkes we be in the West.
Boo I hate "small number RPGs". I don't care if my 20,500 damage attack would be the same as 2 damage when translated to small numbers, but my primitive monke brain wants to see all the numbers when I do damage damnit!
Nobody can argue that doing 100 damage is as satisfying as finally achieving 9999 since one makes you feel badass and the other is just 100.
@RupeeClock I mean not for anyone with a half a brain. They make it so you have 0 reason not to mod your console at that point and if you can't actually buy the games non-second hand any longer...makes it simple to never fear of missing out since there's lots of archives and other places with the games available.
Yep. Clearly a lack of giving a ***** because they know the good little sheep will pay up even knowing it's a half-assed unfinished game. Nothing to do with the switch limitations, just the almighty Lord $$$ at play yet again.
@Takoda Theres where you are wrong though. In a few days NL will report about how Pokemon is #1 and #2 in sales. Another few weeks to see the huge amount of sales they made. What exactly is going to give them motivation to change and do better? Nothing. Nothing at all.
@Snatcher Scary times when you had 0 up vote but the ones you were replying to had 3 at this. People seem to enjoy being censored and told what they can and can't do more and more these days...shudders
Time for another 50 " we need a switch 2!!!11" comments. Just GF being lazy plain and simple. When you make billions selling everything from stickers to $200 stuffed animals, you don't need to worry about the games being up to par because people will still buy it.
Had totally forgot they removed Mei. Not looking forward to those ice walls again though.
I got 34 elimination streak with Moira earlier on my Lite in QP. Only like 10-12 were actual kills and the rest heal assists but still, feels so good in handheld.
The fact they're still selling stuffed Pikachu after 20+ years is crazy when you think about the sheer money they've made off of those alone over all that time.
Looks pretty great. Not really sold on parts of it like the class system (I'm a minority who thought Bully sucked) but as a huge HP nerd, I'll be excited to explore places as the castle itself is the main character I'm interested in, not some offshoot story.
I'll definitely be enrolling at Hogwarts on the PC though as I can't imagine this playing great on the switch even with the more delayed release date.
Still strongly support she-who-must-not-be-named as well. JK is a great author with a completely sound scientific viewpoint and the anti-free speech/cancel culture needs to kindly go away. Boycotting this would be dumb anyway since she's already a billionaire (she doesn't care about your dollar or two from royalties she sees) and it's not like it was her pitch and she helped code it.
@Silly_G It's a $5 game...you really think they're going to do a physical run for that when the plastic costs more than the game lmao? You'll be waiting for eternity on that one.
Always found the story pretty lackluster compared to other comparable SRPGs anyway. Felt like a muddied down FFT.
Also I find it very amusing when people add in the system they played it on like the guy did with Steam Deck. Always cute when they toss in a self brag about something that literally has NOTHING to do with the game nor should be mentioned in a review. Kind of like how people do here with the OLED.
Wow a game that looked bad from the start and needed their company to tell us "we don't understand it" only for it to be ass in the end anyway. Not surprised at all.
Mobile gaming will only continue to grow. Then there's things like the Apex Legends mobile version that runs infinitely better than the Switch version while looking better as well and running at a stable 50fps. Hell there's even a Switch emulator that runs on midrange phones.
Considering raising the price of something 6 years old due to demand and a continuous supply issue for parts...and people STILL think there's going to be a "pro" model somehow haha 😂
So much more convenient but the sales that go 3 to sometimes like 10 times cheaper digital is why it's so popular. I know there's quite a few games I'd never have played without eShop sales.
Man I think most people in the piracy scene have long since beat it (assuming it's any good, looked pretty boring) lmao. That was quite the early leak.
Pretty impressive. It's nice never playing against bots with that many people. Still loving the game and after 40 hours, I'm FINALLY getting my aim settings finely tuned for my mains lol.
@Rika_Yoshitake You realize Twitter isn't exactly the smartest group of people, right? Hell, they've been saying "dead game" since the first week Fortnite launched.
@Xiovanni A dude with president Pooh Bear pfp claiming Blizzard is "phone phishing". Hahaha man that's funny. Dumb, yes, but also funny.
@Joeynator3000 Nah, it's just the very vocal minority who like to be against things solely to make themselves feel better/righteous. Most people have the brains to realize a few bad apples out of a MASSIVE company does not change anything in the big picture (people can't step back and see it anymore).
I'll never forget crossing into Mexico in the original Red Dead Redemption and Jose Gonzalez's "Far Away" started playing so naturally.
"Step in front of a runaway train..just to feel alive again". Gave me chills and made me a fan of his music from that moment in one of the most memorable moments of my gaming history.
Also that old Playstation 1 light gun game, Revolution X that was all about Aerosmith. That game was pretty sweet for it's time.
@VoidofLight Yep. Late 24/early 25 depending on how the state of the world plays out. Doubt they'll even bother with any other upgraded versions given the cost of semiconductors when a switch "pro" wouldn't bring in as many sales as a full blown new console would.
Been saying this for 2 years but every other article there's always a few people with no clue saying we need a pro model smh.
Funny, I had just booted the NieR up and went here on my phone while it loaded. 2B would have been a great addition since I imagine her playing a bit like Bayonetta, who was one of my mains in Smash.
But I just finished the 55 level battle to get the new healer..
@Itachi2099 Not sure who's ass you're pulling that number out of. As a new player it took me about 20 hours to unlock everyone and get the new Kiriko from the battle pass. Not sure where the made up "100s" of hours is coming from.
@Snatcher I know this may come as shocking news...but actually just PLAYING games and enjoying them takes the grind out of the grind. Weird, right? It's like..such a 2000s idea.
That's good they're making the effort, that's the only thing limiting the Switch these days, lazy devs.
That said, not my type of game at all and once you've watched someone play it, no need to do so yourself.
@Dom_31 Yeah can't say I can agree with your rant when you somehow think Skyrim is not a "way lesser" version lmao. I'm not quite sure what you think the Switch is though? It's a way to play games while you poop, not to get 120fps 8k the kids think they NEED these days.
Its extremely crazy how long they estimate these fixes to be. I thought the whole point of 'live service' games was for exactly things like this so they can get things fixed in a day or two, not weeks. Oh well, I haven't really put much time into learning her yet anyway.
I'm amazed at how well I'm doing on the Switch Lite considering the limitations. Took ages to fine tune the controls (differently for each character too) but man pulling off multiple headshot kills against the sweats on their beefy machines feels good.

Re: Soapbox: How To Improve Pokémon Scarlet And Violet's Open World
I can tell them how to fix it without an entire article...
Don't released rushed unfinished games in time for the holidays you greedy swine.
See, easy.
Re: Nintendo Launches Huge Cyber Deals Sale Starting Today, Up To 50% Off Switch eShop Games (North America)
Wow 30% off first party games!!! Snatch them up at that price for this limited time sale!! Hah.
Nothing good here, third party sales are where it's at anyway.
Re: Nintendo Isn't Happy About Switch Game Images On Steam
Just going to try and slay the hydra again huh?

Re: Random: Singapore Treated To Magical Night-Time Pikachu Drone Show
All fun and games until someone hacks the Pikachu drones and commands them to attack everyone.
Eh, I can dream right?
Re: It's Official, There Are Now More Than 1,000 Pokémon
And out of all of them... about 50 good designs. Not batting 1.000 on that one.

It amuses me that as of right now we seemed to have played red/blue equally (28% each).
Red. Because dragons.

That would be another horrible video game to movie adaptation.
Just go watch Free Guy. Sure it's not very good but it's as close to a GTA movie we really need.
Re: Nintendo UK Teases Black Friday eShop Sale Starting Thursday, No Game Details Yet
30% off first party games you say? What a deal indeed.
Re: Review: Smurfs Kart - Not As Smurf As Smurf, But Surprisingly Smurf
Smurfs are still a thing?! What the smurfing Smurf.
They should have made it a surfing game instead, Surfin' Smurfs
Re: CD Projekt Red Reconfirms Netflix DLC For The Witcher 3 On Switch
Hmm interesting we get some more DLC (maybe?). Still never finished it, probably should, it's a helluva game.
Such a disappointment Henry left Witcher to go do a 4773th Superman film, yawn. He's dead to me now.
Re: This Upcoming Super Mario Bros. 3 Mod Adds New Playable Characters, Wall Jumps And More
I think I may just give this a download and pop it on my phone to try it once it's out. Assuming NL reminds me.

Haha nah. Probably another stupid way to earn avatars or whatever the hell the Nintendo missions are for.
