I got the first Somnium Files like a month ago when it was at that price as well. It's alright. Only played for about 2 hours since I don't care for visual novels really but it had some pretty decent humor in it so far. Just doesn't feel like I'm playing or really doing much to call it a game even.
Well duh, anyone with the slightest bit of sense can take a look at the state of things in the world and tell you there wasn't going to be a switch 2 or "pro" this year, and almost certainly not next either.
If China moves on Taiwan, might be a few more years since they make 60% of semiconductors in the entire world.
Has been cracking me up at the oblivious ones spouting "we need Switch 2!!" in the comments when it's just not feasible with the way the world is going (to hell, in a hand basket).
Played them both to death on Xbox360 back in the day, some of the finest gaming experiences out there. So I have no need to rebuy them although if they do go to $9.99 some day I might pick them up again just to try with gyro but I doubt it.
@mariomaster96 That's not the Switches fault, that's just how the game loads. It does use a really really old engine.
MK11 is one of my biggest regret buys on the Switch. Looks absolutely horrible and runs bad, plus I'm not sure I ever finished more than 3 matches online due to NSO being such a horrible turd and always disconnecting me when it wasn't just constantly lagging.
Just Cult Of The Lamb for me. Love Devolver Digital's games and this looks pretty sweet and the Switch version actually releases same day as other platforms! Rare to see Switch versions not delayed months behind the rest anymore it seems.
Yeah I enjoyed my time with 2 but nothing shown has gave me enough interest to want to buy 3. Very much feels samey just with some new weapons which isn't enough for $60 + renewing the horribly buggy and laggy NSO just to play the damn thing.
Really love Hollow Knight but all it's little things put in it for the sole purpose of cheap shots and to piss you off makes it hard to want to hop back in, even if I must be getting be getting near the end. Very frustrating game with too much aimed at being annoying to make it seem harder than it is, compared to Celeste, where everything there is no fault but your own.
Well I was around before digital only titles, I was blowing in original Nintendo carts as a kid...but I guess I'm not a real gamer because I don't collect pieces of plastic in varying degrees of overpriced splendor to show that I am in fact a gamer.
I'm in the minority of people who just enjoy the actual, you know, experiences and memories made from playing them, not spending 3x-10x (for special shiny limited ultra mega supreme rare "collectors" editions) the price to stick on a shelf and maybe perhaps look at once every 5 years after the initial playing is done.
Finally picked up Doom Eternal since the Deluxe edition went on sale for under $25, which was my target. I refuse to pay Nintendough for their 15 year old online "service" though so couldn't care less about MP.
@Sonos Wrong, Apple is considered peasant phone for anyone with half a working brain. Only 13 year olds and their "I NEED one or I won't be cool" mentality actually think apple products are superior in any way. Also I think Monster Hunter Rise is one of the most boring experiences I've had on my switch after 2 hours of the free trial, so no, we can't be friends it seems.
And yet people still go on about needing Switch 2...heh yeah, they don't read the news. Would be a logistical nightmare worrying about a new console in the state the world is in when even old stuff is still in high demand and low supply.
I mean...they're not wrong. The guy can complain about "impossible schedule" all he wants but EVERY game gets delayed multiple times now and somehow still ships needing fixes.
Then there are games like Mario Strikers where they sell you half a game at full price and promise to add stuff later (but it's FREE!!!).
Maybe I just miss buying fully finished, completed games? How silly of me.
I wasn't very interested to begin with but watching some of the game play footage killed it completely for me. Maybe they've got a trick in their pocketses to add in to make it special though.
Sounds good, will be my first racing game since Mario Kart Wii. Can't beat the price and I don't mind actually (gasp) playing games to unlock things, it's part of the fun for me so I won't mind the paid aspects. If they were smart they'd structure the season pass to give you your in-game currency back like Fortnite, but it's Disney so I doubt that'll be the case. Either way I'll at least be trying it since you can't get buyers remorse with free.
If they have a good art design team, and an actual fun game, they can amass a lot of money just from skins alone if reasonably priced, but again..Disney...so..
@Bablommebite I mean it's the same with films. Kill a million people violently on screen in very realistic ways....That's fine! Show a nip? OH MY GOD THINK OF THE CHILDREN! People are very strange creatures.
@Truegamer79 The leaders of religions who wanted more power/control decided being nekkid is a no-no, and it just kind of absorbed itself into government.
Also I had no idea there was a Link costume in Bayonetta 2! Looks like I'm going to have to redownload it now. Wouldn't hurt to get practice in for 3 too even though I'll wait for a sale on it in the future.

Re: Poll: Do You Actually Want Switch Ports Wind Waker And Twilight Princess?
Nope. Just a souless cash grab that somehow people are dumb enough to be all over.
Enjoy paying $60 for the same game you bought 10 years ago (and doing it again in a couple years for switch 2!) you mindless fools!
Re: Soapbox: Endless Zelda Remakes Are A Poor Substitute For Backwards Compatibility
You may buy them but I won't.
Re: It's Official, Tactics Ogre: Reborn Is Coming To Switch
It was a decent game but was still nowhere near as good as FFT.
Re: Spike Chunsoft's Switch eShop Sale Includes Danganronpa, Somnium Files, And More

Re: Mini Metro Copycat Game Has Been Removed From Switch eShop
Cool? Now get them to remove the countless thousands of the other clones of other games while you're at it I guess.
Re: Dead Cells' 'Enter The Panchaku' Update Is A Massive One, And It's Coming Soon
@rex_rex Thanks for making me wish Hades got 30 DLC updates instead of...ZERO. They really missed the mark on that.
Cool news though, will have to reload the apk on my phone once this is out.

"I can't quite pinpoint why it happened at that particular moment in time"
Judging by your time line, you were 14 when you lost interest..so I bet I can guess what happened...puberty happened.
Re: Nexomon + Nexomon: Extinction: Complete Collection Arrives On Switch This Month
Aren't these just ports of the mobile games?
Re: Square Enix Shares Fresh New Details For Life Sim RPG Harvestella
Looks pretty good even if I'm not into farm/life sims.

Re: Nintendo Rules Out Any Price Increase On The Switch In Japan... For Now
And yet some people cry they need a Switch 2.
(chuckles at them internally)
Re: Nintendo's 'Multiplayer Showdown Sale' Promises Big Savings Later This Week (Europe)
I picked up Doom Eternal Deluxe edition since it was finally cheap enough for me without ever planning on touching MP.
Re: Logitech And Tencent Games Are Working On A Cloud-Based Handheld Console
Maybe it will release along side the Internet v2.0

Re: Disney's New Free-To-Play Racer Wants To Be Distinct From Mario Kart With "Combat Racing"
Still sounds good to me.
Re: Nightdive Apparently Has "A Few More" FPS Remasters On The Way
Half life wouldn't be too bad since HL3 never happened for whatever odd reason.
Re: Poll: Digimon Survive Is Finally Available, Will You Be Getting It?
Was interested until I saw it's mostly just a read read game with tiny bits of battle thrown in.
Re: PowerA Is Releasing Another Zelda Themed Switch Controller
I like my controllers black or at least dark since white never stays white even if you're really careful.

Re: Random: This Giant Inteleon Plush Is The Most Threatening Pokémon Merch Ever
It's the hands that weird me out.
Re: Outer Wilds On Switch "Is Still Happening"
Fine with me. Better to take their time and get it right than release a half finished game to be fixed through patches whenever they get around to it.
If it gets close to sWitcher 3 quality of performance, I'm in.
Re: Look Forward To Poignant Narrative Game 'Hindsight' This August
I'd give it 20/20.
Re: Designing The Characters For Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Was Apparently 'Hellish'
And yet they still look like generic anime people I've seen a million times before..

Re: "Hard-As-Nails" Platformer RITE Is Jumping Onto Switch Soon
Finish Celeste...nope. Made it a good way through stage 9 and was finally defeated. Think I'm good on another sort of game for awhile.
Re: Review: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - An Epic, Emotionally-Charged Masterpiece
Hmm nice. The first one bored me after 10 hours or so but the combat sounds a ton better in this. Maybe one day.

Re: Roller Champions "Isn't Getting Cancelled", Says Ubisoft
"while the gameplay was initially fun, 'it lacks in pretty much every other department and there’s just not enough content in here to satisfy anyone."
That sounds exactly like Mario Strikers...yet that gets a 9..because...Nintendo?
Re: Random: Lucas Pope Jokes About Papers, Please Coming To Consoles In "2031"
Cool I'll sideload the .apk when it hits mobile then. Not that I'll play it for more than 10 minutes most likely.
Re: "Bean Bone Update" Adds Among Us To Space Warlord Organ Trading Simulator
Game is on sale for 30% off right now as well.
Re: Mini Review: Severed Steel - A Heart-Pounding FPS That Makes You Feel Like John Wick
I was thinking oh yeah gonna get this...until...no gyro. WTF were they thinking?!
Guess it could be patched in later, but doubtful. Such a shame, say bye-bye to my money!
Re: The Nintendo Store Is Down For Maintenance For Three Days (UK)
Yeah doesn't really take 3 days of maintenance to release a game..lol
Re: More Tactics Ogre: Reborn Details Leak Online, Is A Switch Release Coming?
I mean there's no reason the Switch couldn't handle it. They'd be stupid to not get it on there too if they like money.
The "painstakingly recreated" upgrade to HD of static pictures is amusing though because, you know, AI upscaling. Not much pain at all.
Re: Brand New Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Mod Successfully Adds Multiplayer Splitscreen
Neat. Thanks for speeding up the takedown process!
Re: Review: Omori - An Emotional, EarthBound-Inspired RPG That's Not Afraid To Shock
Boring combat and a personal dislike for the child scribble art style will be a pass for me but I'm sure a lot will enjoy it.
Re: Hideki Kamiya: Nintendo Hasn't Ever Asked Platinum To Cover Up Bayonetta

Re: Watch: Is Five Years Between Splatoon Games Too Short A Wait?
@QLM17 Well yeah but it's not too hard to sell things to 13-18 year olds now is it? Especially in the age of "my friends do it so I must too!".
Re: Witcher 3 Dev Admits He Overcrowded One Map With Too Many Points Of Interest
@Slain Ah yes because people usually paid to give high scores to games are truly who I should listen to!
@BartoxTharglod It's a song title, don't read into the name too much buddy lmao
Re: PlatinumGames Hints At Another Project G.G. Reveal Next Year
Could be interesting. Viewtiful Joe was a pretty good game at times.
Re: Dragon Quest X Online Launches 'All In One' Switch Package This October (Japan)
Two things I could not care less that they are Japan only.
Re: Review: 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim - A Rich Narrative Adventure/RTS Hybrid With Outstanding Art
Ehh video GAMES shouldn't put the whole actual game part on the back burner. Might as well have gone full visual novel and chopped half the price off.
