I don't trust other humans enough to go walking around with my phone out to catch em but it's impressive this game is still going considering how many others get shut down.
It's fun but I haven't played it for a long while. Learning curve is kind of steep as I could never learn to aim very accurately when I did manage to take a shot on goal and I always felt I was playing aimlessly.
Holy hell Epic, please STOP with the superhero skins. This is becoming a licensed DC/Marvel game now.
@outsider83 Nope. Still has some of the fairest monetization out there. Have had the BP for 2 years every season from one $9 purchase. Nearly 800 hours of playtime. Best deal on my Switch I've gotten.
I'm curious how NieR does for October. High sales would be great to show that the $40 price tag helps drive sales so we might see more of that in the future.
Crazy that there's so many that held off for 5 years just for this announcement lol. Well good for those who have been waiting then, it's just not my type of thing though.
Gotta keep the portability for 2024 when a new console actually might launch (assuming the best happens around the globe. haha yeah right) or it just becomes a downgraded Xbox or Playstation.
Cracks me up people are here still complaining about him not doing the voice in Mario..like what?
Mario is known for saying what, 30 lines total in his career? The intonations and inflections used for one liners would NOT carry over in any way when trying to have a normal conversation. It would be headache inducing trying to listen to that.
Started my first ever playthrough of NieR and so far it's been quite the experience. I totally forget I'm playing on a Switch Lite with how fluid that game runs.
After the initial crapshoot that was launch, I'll still be playing Overwatch 2. The BP everyone else is whining about couldn't bother me in the least as a new player who is too busy learning the game to worry about "but..but they look better than me!".
That is pretty bold of you Valve. I'd be surprised if this didn't end up in court with the way Nintendo runs to a lawyer if someone sneezes and it sounds like a tune they have copyrighted.
I've never had any problem with emulating thanks to the Robin Hood mentality though.
It gets a higher rating from me since I never played the first. Almost bought it but never did.
Cosmetics that I can't even see since it's first person are fine, let them make their money. I don't feel like I'm missing out. Slowly unlocking heroes is fine as well because the point of a TEAM based game is to be able to do your part well, so putting in the time to actually learn a couple characters well enough to be of use will only help the community in the long run.
Really impressed that I've had no instances of lag or even slow down whatsoever though. Feels really good even on a Lite. Matches connect fast and after the initial fiasco I've had no server lag or disconnects.
I'm more looking for the PvE stuff coming though. Sadly I bet it will be some sort of paid content somehow.
Gets an 8 from me as a new player who isn't bothered by it feeling the same or not having everything unlocked and handed to me from the start.
It's impossible to judge by the two lines said. Anyone judging either way in that has next.ti nothing to go on. Would need to hear at least a coherent and connected few lines in a row of normal speaking to be able to judge fairly.
Actually looks pretty sweet, I wasn't expecting much but now I'm hyped. I can't judge on how I'll like Pratt's voice from two lines though, would need to hear how he sounds in normal conversation. Bowser actually seemed menacing for a change which is great.
@Dark-Luigi I've read of success with Talkatone app (some say it's worked with free version, others say you need to spend .99 cents to unlock premium SMS) so could be worth checking out.
People are being paranoid thinking they're going to sell everyone's numbers to Russia or China for some side cash. A future hack and info dump, perhaps. Although it takes all of what, 3 seconds to block a number? So I don't see the big deal in any case.
Looks alright. I think the more realistic arms and face is more to make all the animations and voice synching look better, as I can imagine if Mario kept his normal odd proportions more of the "actiony" stuff he'll be doing would look off.
Well the excellent video review sold me (that and Amazon offered me $15 credit) on getting it. Haven't preordered a game since Portal 2's original release. The $40 price is a lovely treat for us treated like dirt with Switch tax and giving it love and polish to make it run great is worth it to support that and hopefully good sales might help get us more good ports and help keep the Switch living for it's next couple years if it's lifespan.
Wonder if she wanted more money than they were willing to offer or something. As long as it's been in the works there's no way she couldn't find the week or less it would take to record the lines out of her schedule.
Ahh pointless plastic waste. At least mother nature is fighting back and sending waves of hurricanes to blow all our plastic waste floating around in there back at us.
It's funny people here think anyone is actually upset about it. Guess we need a better way to show sarcasm or humor on the internet because people just do not seem to grasp it.
I've always wanted to try a new DRPG since I haven't played one for probably 15 years, but I'll probably pick one of the different ones up that goes on sale before this ever sees a price I'm okay with.
The songs from the games are top tier. I still listen to them on occasion. "I used to want you dead, now I only want you gone" are great breakup lyrics.
Still may pick up the portal collection one day just to see if I can still remember speed run tricks from 10+ years ago.

Re: Deals: Get Up To 75% Off Scott Pilgrim, Assassin's Creed In Ubisoft's Switch eShop Sale (North America)
Bunch of junk besides the excellent Fenyx Rising.
Nothing for me but I have NieR, Overwatch 2 and picked up Ori and the Will of the Wisps on sale (very overrated so far) to keep me busy.

Good to see it runs so well. Was torn between this and NieR and it won with it's $40 price point. Future sale pickup for me though.

Re: Overwatch 2 Player Calculates '5 Year' F2P Grind To Unlock New Hero's Cosmetics
I'm not sure why skins are important in a first person game where you can't even see them except at the lobby/end of game.
It seems to play exactly the same without them for me.
Re: Random: Oh No, The Internet Thinks Chris Pratt As Mario Sounds Like Linda From Bob's Burgers
Oh God I didn't hear it at all at first but it really does sound like Linda.
Still waiting to hear a full coherent speech or conversation than two one liners though.

Re: Overwatch 2's New Phone Number Requirement Is Rejecting Pre-Paid Plans
Now that the servers have been fixed, I gotta say it ruins impressively well on the Switch, haven't noticed any slow down except maybe once in a menu.
The battle pass is rather meh and it doesn't even reward you some of the premium currency back like most games do, so I'll be sure passing on that.
Competing against all the veteran PC players is rough as a new player though.

The rest were awesome though, love JB.

Re: Nintendo Download: 6th October (North America)
