@Lroy I think it did come over here on some platforms (e.g. Steam) but it just never made it to Nintendo platforms, which sucks as I don't have a PlayStation and my laptop can't run Steam (it uses Chrome OS).

I'm just bummed they never bothered releasing Woah, Dave! in Europe. I distinctly remember playing a demo of it at EGX on 3DS.

Hopefully Niantic will take advantage of ARCore on Android to bring it to users of Google's platform.

My Nintendo rewards have been absolutely terrible compared to what you could get on Club Nintendo.

I caught about 20 of the things yesterday. I must admit, the double EXP has been great, I've earned over 350,000EXP over the last week which has gotten me halfway to level 33.

Well IIRC Generations on the Xbox 360 ran at 30fps which I had absolutely zero issues with, so if Sonic Forces performs identically on my Switch then I will be a happy man.

Who gives a monkey's over resolution and frame rate? Surely the main thing should be whether the game is fun or not? If it meets that latter criteria then I'll be happy.

A "world" championship based in just 8 locations in America using a 6 year old game? That's really the best they could come up with!?

Hmm, odd. I tried installing Altered Beast on my Chromebook last night and it ran flawlessly. I need to try it with an Xbox controller next, shame it won't accept keyboard inputs.

Gang Beasts is HILARIOUS and I would buy a Switch version on day one, assuming it comes out after I get a Switch - still got my Wii U catalogue to get through at the moment!

I'm generally against Wii U ports (as I then feel I'm double dipping if I want to get the extra content that typically comes with said ports) but my god I would KILL for Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed on Switch.

They never made the Switch version of the collector's edition available in the UK, I thought? I have a preorder down on the PS4 version but don't actually have a PS4. It would be nice to have it on the console of my choice, but a PS4 version is better than no version at all.

Awesome, the Snap and Go kit is a definite purchase for me! I have a similar unit for my Wii U Gamepad and it's done an excellent job at keeping it in great condition for the last few years!

I think it's daft that they'll throw you in a poster with the standalone version, but you get nothing if you lump for the more expensive amiibo bundle... it's like they're trying to make you pick between the two? What gives?

Kirby's Epic Yarn and Yoshi's Woolly World had outstanding soundtracks! The man is a fantastic composer, and I hope he will still contribute to future Nintendo games!

Received my unit without issues from the Official Nintendo UK Store, having preordered shortly after the page went live back in July.

However, a good friend of mine missed out on preorders, so I have been trying to hunt for a unit in brick and mortar stores this weekend to no avail. HMV, Toys 'R' Us and Argos all sold out, and Game used all their stock to fulfil preorders, meaning they had none left to release for general sale this morning (which is fair enough).

We will be waiting for the restocks now in order to have another shot of acquiring a unit for my friend, but the moral of this story is that Nintendo still cannot be trusted when it comes to providing adequate stock of particular games, accessories and systems (see: amiibo) so preordering is an absolute must if you desire these things. Sadly, this advice is invalid for our American friends as most retailers declined to offer preorders. :/

I've played this app every day - except for one - since it came out last year! I dread to think how much I've spent on the app over the course of the year... At least my home screen is absolutely covered in Pokemon and Animal Crossing badges!

I've asked my parents nicely to pick me up a copy for Christmas, which I believe they have now. I think this sucker is probably going to become one of these ridiculously hard to find games within a few years, which means it's more important to pick up a copy now if you want it and care about physical releases.

I grew up playing a Mega Drive so I can't wait to have this compilation to play on the go. I wonder if 3D Flicky would ever be a thing?

Drowzee is common as fudge here in the UK. If the update makes Drowzee even more common, well, I think all spawns will end up being more sodding Drowzee!!!

The candy boost is nice though. I've only found a single Dratini so far, and since he's my favourite I'm desperate for a Dragonite. So I'll need to do a ton of walking over the next week to make a decent dent in my buddy candy count!

I'm not surprised it's done as poorly as it has. I checked in Game, HMV, Toys R Us and Argos in Southampton City Centre and none of these stores had even received a copy to sell.

It's hardly surprising the game has sold poorly when it's not available to buy! I ended up having to then go and order a copy online.

I'll probably pick up that Sonic theme bundle, and maybe the Team Rocket one too, if I'm feeling spendy.

Awesome, I've been holding out for a physical release of Story Mode before picking it up. Hopefully it'll come out this side of Christmas, I'm quite keen to play it.

I managed to pick the Chikorita Green console up, mint in box with 4 games, off of eBay about 5-6 years ago now for about £40 all in. I got Poke Party Mini, Puzzle Challenge, Zany Cards and Pinball. Funnily enough, Pinball is by far my favourite, and I've 100% completed it. I got hours of gameplay out of it. I'd love to pick up Tetris at some point.

Ah, I've been waiting for the disc release! I'll definitely be picking this up when it launches! I've been itching to play Minecraft on my Wii U but I've held off ever since I heard it would get a physical release. Same story with Story Mode, too.

Going to pick this up once it arrives on disc. I already have it and have played it to death on PC but it'll be nice to be able to play it with friends online who don't have the PC version. Going to pick up Story Mode once it comes out on disc too.

Yep, still waiting for an EU release of Woah Dave. Annoyingly the game was on display at EGX 2014 for people to demo, which lead me to believe that a release was imminent. But, here we are a year and a half later and there's still nothing on its potential release over here. Starting to wonder if Choice Provisions have just given up on ever releasing it here. :/

I was on team Pokemon Red, since that was my first ever Pokemon game as a kid. Gutted we lost, I didn't lose a single game against team Pokemon Blue, so I'm surprised that we were thrashed so badly on the win percentage.

Been using the Splattershot Jr + Bubbler since launch, but I gave this a shot last night and I enjoyed using it so much, I think it's convinced me to make the switch to main this weapon set!

Unsurprising, really. Again, with zero advertising for Ultra Smash or Amiibo Festival, how does Nintendo expect consumers to be aware of either title? Splatoon was advertised everywhere, and even the most gaming-averse parents have heard of "that paintball game with the squids." In comparison, I visited both Smyth's (where I bought my copy of Amiibo Festival plus the other 6 AC amiibo figures) and Game, and whilst both stores had the figures on shelves, neither store were displaying the game itself on shelves, so even if you were just passing the Nintendo section, you wouldn't be aware of the game's existence. Smyth's had the game hidden behind the counter, and I couldn't see it in Game at all.

Epic fail, Nintendo.

My own opinion regarding Amiibo Festival is that it's fun with friends but the single player experience is bland when playing the board game. Gaming the Stalk Market seems to be the only (intensely, in my case) strategic element to the board game. The Desert Island Escape minigame is great, but not enough to redeem the whole package. Overall? Worth a buy only if you're the most hardcore Animal Crossing fan, otherwise it's clear this package is designed to sell as many amiibo as possible, and actual content is an afterthought. Which is a real shame, because the game is gorgeous to look at, and the music is as pleasing as ever.

I really hope the Sega Saturn theme appears soon!

I'm definitely picking up the Master System, Game Gear and Mega Drive themes, but I shan't rest until I have the Saturn theme firmly within my grasp!!!

Ratchet & Clank is one of my favourite game series ever, can't wait to see the movie!!!

I've not seen any promotion for this game from Nintendo, and even I didn't know that it was out now. So, how on earth do they expect the average consumer to know it's out?

There's a reason Splatoon sold well and that's because the average person had heard about this cool new game involving squids and ink. How had they heard about it? Because Nintendo actually advertised the game!!!

Meanwhile, in Europe...

@G0dlike They'll be on sale individually in the UK. GAME and Shopto.net put their stock up for preorder a few weeks ago, but I've not seen them on Store Nintendo yet.

Man, I've been so hyped about Beatbuddy since it was at EGX 2014, and it was meant to be released back in January. Thank goodness it's finally coning out! Now we just need a release date for Woah Dave!

Looks like they've made a few improvements to Charizard. Cool! Him and villager are my mains.

Imagine if Man. U played Arsenal. Man. U wins 3-2. Then, the ref turns round and says "Sorry lads, Arsenal wins instead because they have more fans in the stadium."

That's how dumb the scoring system for the Splatfests are.

This and Gunstar Heroes are launch day purchases for me. Here's hoping that they port over Sonic 3 and Knuckles at some point too!

@Yosher Interesting, I conversely hated Yoshi's Island DS but loved New Island.

Pricing seems rather on the high side to me. The cost in GBP converted from USD is roughly £18, however we're actually getting charged £26.68. That nets you:

> 3 new characters
> 2 new stages
> 9 new costumes

In comparison, paying £11 for the Mario Kart 8 DLC got you:

> 6 new characters
> 16 new stages
> 8 new karts

I don't mind paying for extra content but there seems to be such a disparity between the two games, I can't help but feel that Smash's pricing is way too excessive. I can almost buy a brand new copy of Splatoon for that price!

We've obviously managed to exceed the page's bandwidth or something, it's no longer working for me and I just get amessage from the web host instead.

I don't have a New 3DS (I'm sticking with my Zelda 25th Anniversary 3DS until I can afford the upgrade) but I've preordered both cover plates anyway because, no doubt, these will sell out and then become a scalperland (read: eBay) exclusive.

EDIT: glad I did because, lo and behold, they're gone, already! Hitting eBay in 3, 2, 1...

I've looked everywhere for Meta Knight and Dedede today - Game, Toys R Us, Tesco, Argos, Sainsburys, and online locations like Shopto and Zavvi. NONE of these stores had any stock, in fact most never received any Amiibo other than Sonic or Mega Man.

What the hell are Nintendo doing? They can hardly say these Amiibo are "out now" if most places didn't get any stock in the first place! I phoned Game at 3pm today and they said they had 5 Meta Knights left in the whole country...

I picked up a Wii U Pro controller at my Tesco yesterday for £10 but they were charging £59 for a Wii Mini.

I wonder if its worth having another look today to see if the price has gone down...
