Nintendo is enjoying plenty of success with amiibo, shifting tens of millions of units. That includes the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer cards range, which have performed particularly well in Japan while also gaining popularity in the West - the combination of a lower cost and the collect 'em all mentality has served them well.
Nintendo of Europe has now confirmed the next batch of cards for the region - series 3 will arrive on 18th March, which is the same day as four Animal Crossing amiibo figures.
As you can see there'll be a corresponding collector's album, and like the previous series this will likely be comprised of 100 different cards in total.
Are you an eager amiibo card collector and keen to dive in with this new series?

Pff, who cares about Fire Emblem: Fates, when we can have this awesome thing!?
Now we are complete and can die happy.
Well, nice. Guess I'll get a few of these cards too, along with the figures.
I'm an avid Amiibo collector and have gone to great lengths to acquire every single figurine, but the cards are where I draw the line. Thank you bye!
Haven't even completed the first 2 series yet :/ there not cheap when you keep getting doubles.
@G0dlike @Dave24
LOL +1
I usually get ~10€ worth of Amiibo cards per series, but that's all A nice splunge every once in a while On the other hand, I have all Amiibo figurines that are available in Europe, just like @G0dlike
Japan already have Series 4 of these things, so there is even more to come, Im guessing 500 cards to collect.
The packs of 3 with at least one special is a joke in UK. You need to buy at least 42 packs in a series to get all 100. No collector will want to trade or but the 25 spare specials you have as they will likely be in the same boat so you. The 6 pack size is far better. I am still working my way through series 1.
Now that is a packed day, games, amiibo, cards. Nintendo spaces releases and then throw everything out the same day. I will be passing on these though.
Maybe they'll put out series 4 during the holidays to make up for Zelda U being delayed into 2017? Who needs games, we got us some amiibo.
That album looks very nice with the light blue colour. I'm not getting it though. I burnt out with the Animal Crossing amiibo cards during wave 2.
But that's when Series 4 comes out in Japan 😔
For those keeping count, we're now at 300 Animal Crossing amiibo cards that aren't Static the Squirrel.
@Starz
Yup. Series one was better for me, I didn't get too many repeats. But with series two I've only bought four packs and ended up with two whole packs of repeats. Luckily my friends play so I can give them my repeats. I might just stick with the figurines from now on.
I did find an etsy shop that takes the chip from the cards and will build a figurine for you using polymer clay. I think they charge about 20 USD. Kind of steep but they looked well made.
Guilty of collecting a few Amiibo statues but I just do not find these cards (and the concept behind them) appealing.
On a completely unrelated note, I love the redesign of your site. Figured I'd finally register .
They seriously need to chill with these amiibo cards.
The only card i'd consider buying is Vesta. Maybe Isabelle too.
Ah, this is the series that finally includes Colton!!!
I didn't want to start collecting these, but then my sister started it and it just.. kind of started itching for me too. So I just bought the album for the first two series, and then I buy a packet or two each time I happen to be in my local game store. It's.. somewhat managable that way. I don't plan on actively collecting every single card though, that would be waaaay too much, unless I can find all the cards somewhere for a relatively cheap price, which doesn't seem very likely to happen.
I really only care to have my 10 or 11 favorite villagers and there's no way I'm playing the lottery for them, I'll just buy them individually online. If they somehow increase my chances of getting them to move into my town in AC:NX I'll be pretty stoked, my days of paying 10-20 million bells for them in bidding wars on forums are about over.
Also if there's ever a Stitches, Lucky, Bob, Octavian, Ankha or Hopper amiibo figure I'll do such dirty dirty things to own them if I have to.
Ugh, I just know there's going to be a proper Animal Crossing game and you're going to be able to do something with these cards. I'm predicting you'll be able to invite villagers to your town from these cards, possibly to move in
i got about less then 13 for series one and less then 40 for series two, trying to complete
So tempted to start picking up my favourite villagers just in case they unlock them in the next game...
