Who gives a flying F about their "annual revenues", because they sold off their whole arcade district in Japan. The ONLY reason they can stay afloat is the industry is so big they can sneak by continuing to drop hot trash on you. You're probably to young to remember this, back in the 90's one of the absolute worst game made "deer hunter" or some crap like that was the best selling game for years!!! @Karula The Amiga is exactly where I played this and countless other awesome games like this and more!! the Amiga was so far ahead of its time. it created genres that never existed before!!

it's not all that surprising. the marketing for this game was simple but so effective, giving this overload of happiness, cuteness and little baby Pikmins and a pooch I want to hug and cuddle with!! I hope it has some legs!! Love this series!!

The reason Switch doesn't have all these extras is less overhead on the overall performance of the system. Everything you add has a COST that affects pretty much all aspects of overall performance. Nintendo clearly chose to keep most everything at a minimum.

The original game is horrible!! Horrendous controls/physics (are there any?), terrible puzzles and layout. This doesn't look any better. I'd be very careful if I were you.

Now Another World is a whole other story. That game is very good!

Absolutely love this series except Pikmin 3 really soured my taste and I still managed to finish it. Now that it looks to expand on Pikmin 2 I'm SO freaking IN on this one!! It just looks like more straightforward fun!! Day 1 for me!!

@coolioam EXACTLY what I was thinking!! How anyone can complain is beyond me. This direct was freaking AWESOME!! TONS of shadow drops.. so much so that they should start calling these Nintendo Shadow Drop Direct. What other company has the balls to not reveal this many bangers so late?!?! I love directs and I love how the games are being revealed!! The only thing I was a little bummed about was no MP4 which isn't a surprise.
