Re: Mini Review: Dead Reset (Switch) - A Gory, Sci-Fi Take On Groundhog Day

man, its kinda hard to reconcile this with the fact that Cronos got 7/10 and by every metric seems to be a far superior title. Bloober making an effort as a growing studio to make something toward a AAA title, and it is getting its game evenly
ranked with FMV game with dodgy acting. Plus Cronos losing points for performance issues whereas this retains the 7 even with performance issues. all feels so wrong.

edit: watched the trailer and dead reset looks like a dodgy straight to vid C class movie with obvious terrible acting. Whereas Cronos is actually a high effort title. My goodness

@SpaceboyScreams I just got the reaper crest and died on my first fight with moorwing. Dont get me wrong, I do like Hollow Knight, and Silksong is great. but I also feel like I am just playing very well made metroidvania games, and these are not the greatest games of all time or anything. (btw anyone reading this, for a recent metroidvania that is (at least) equally as good as HK, play Cathedral)

@AJWolfTill @Anachronism Yoko's island was fun but way too short. dread was good, but Super Metroid and Metroid 2 are the greatest Metroid 2D games imo, and two of the greatest MV's and games of all time. Obviously Symphony of the Night is an all timer but is not recent. I am a big fan of the Bloodstained games as well. It's a massive Shame 'Ritual of the night' was bugged to hell on Switch, but I personally think it one of the greatest recent era MV's. Curse of the Moon games are top tier as well. An underrated MV that not enough people talk about is Cathedral, which is a gem of an MV and huge like Hollow Knight. Honestly I think Grime is an absolutely amazing MV as well, maybe even the best for me personally.

Re: Nightdive's CEO Reiterates Desire To Remaster 'Eternal Darkness'

@Questionable_Duck not long back they did express some desire to move toward remasters of PS3 games, with the FPS game Haze being a title they mentioned in particular. I am in the camp that really loves what Nightdive does and want them to stay that way though. There are a ton of PS1 and earlier PC titles that need remastered, and of course PS2 titles. Some of the titles they have remastered are historically important titles, and really they are resurrecting those historically important games (games like PO-ed for instance) and bringing back to life something really important in gaming legacy/history. I notice their choices are very careful. But I mean they seem to be growing strong and steadily, and they are involved in an impressive amount of stuff. I imagine a fair bit of PS2 stuff/early 2000's PC stuff will arrive in the next few years.

Re: Shenmue III Is Finally Confirmed For 'Nintendo Platforms'

@KayFiOS the thing is if you didnt play these back in the day you will prob find them very hard to get into. these games have elements that many find very tedious, although those things that are tedious were a great novelty back in the day (something like 'woah, thats so realistic' kinda thing). Basically Yakuza is an evolution from the Shenmue series but much more 'playable', unless you really like your games old school.

@Big_Round_Robin TR6 was the most slated of the CORE developed PS games and I think is considered to have killed off TR in its initial form before being rebooted and re-branded. I think it was the only CORE developed TR title for PS2, and it was like TR didnt make the transition to next gen well. At least thats how things were framed. Always wondered if it was as bad as people said.

Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Has Been Rated For Switch 2

I just hope they dont screw the story like they did with Age of Calamity. Making all the heroes survive on an alternate timeline was lame. They should have stuck to the BotW timeline and not feel to need to give e a cosy happy ending to everything where everyone survives and is all lovely and happy. Just stick to the universe and its actual story for goodness sake.
