Re: Digital Foundry Delivers A Technical Breakdown Of Switch 2's DLSS

Sindayl

The second model « tiny » looks terrible. It shows the same kind of artifacts as a deinterlacing filter from 2006 with moving objects. Since videogames are rarely static, it’s a poor choice (and of course, the one chosen by Ubisoft…).

For some reason, that weak DLSS has been obvious on Fast Fusion since day one, but it moves so fast that… it makes it a little less annoying.

So I guess that all these « 4k is gonna be a thing on Switch 2 thanks to AI » is just rubbish… because I’m not a big fan of this kind of filtered 4k…

Re: Review: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds (Switch) - Cracking Karting, But Struggles To Keep Up On Switch

Sindayl

Playing Switch 1 version on Switch 2 while waiting for the upgrade and it’s not as bad as some people make it out to be. Sure, if you’ve been grinding for hours on an Xbox Series X and then switch to the Switch 1 version, the downgrade is blatant. But for now, it runs at a pretty stable 30fps on Switch 2 and it’s totally fine until they drop the upgrade in two months.

Re: Mario Kart World's First European Online Event Gets Underway Later This Month

Sindayl

Well… I went back to MK8 because Mario Kart World is giving me overpriced bland game energy. Those forced rides on straight soulless lanes… Ew…

I’ll just enjoy MK8 while I still can… before Nintendo shuts the servers down to push us into Mario Kart World and nothing else. The same way they refuse to let us choose to play looped tracks online…

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Prices Are Live, And It's Sticker Shock Time

Sindayl

@StewdaMegaManNerd You didn’t play MPR, right?

F U Nintendo. Seriously. They just keep MILKING us more and more AND MORE just to see HOW FAR they can push it. It’s insane. I wouldn’t even mind that much if it were a pricy first party Xbox or PlayStation port because at least those actually get cheaper over time. But Nintendo We ALL KNOW their first party games almost NEVER get discounted and when they finally do for a limited time, it’s at an almost insulting, downright ridiculous discount.

Pathetic.

Re: Dragon Quest VII Gets Reimagined For Switch And Switch 2 In Early 2026

Sindayl

So gaming is gonna be stuck in an eternal loop with remake of remastered of reimaginated of remixed games? Wtf.

They used to crank out amazing scenarios with genuinely fun gameplay for a whole decade and now suddenly nobody’s talented enough to craft fresh, enjoyable stories? Sure, they still release new JRPGs, but they’re nowhere near the same pace or quality as the classics, both story wise and gameplay wise imo.

Re: Panzer Dragoon Zwei: Remake Resurfaces, Will Be Playable At TGS 2025

Sindayl

Aspyr should have been in charge of this "remaster". What they did with Tomb Raider and Soul Reaver is mindblowing! They’re so good at enhancing old 3D games while modernizing them without betraying their original aesthetic.

Panzer Dragoon Zwei and Panzer Dragoon Orta are my favorite rail shooters of all time (and Orta is jaw dropping at 4K, 60fps and Auto HDR on Xbox Series X).

Re: Reminder: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds 'Open Network Test' For Switch Is Now Live

Sindayl

I honestly didn’t think I would enjoy it this much! After being let down by Mario Kart World, this one actually has a real shot at becoming my next main kart racer. It’s polished, you can tell there’s way more budget behind it than the rather bad Team Sonic Racing and it seems to capture what made Transformed so damn good.

I tested it on both Switch (2) and Xbox Series X. Surprisingly, it runs and looks great for a Switch 1 game! The Series X version is stunning but I’ll stick with the Switch version for now and just grab the Switch 2 upgrade patch in a few months.

I cannot wait for Ulala to sashay her way into the roster with a couple of tracks.

Re: Fitness Boxing 2 To Be Removed From The eShop This November

Sindayl

Yeah, that’s why we couldn’t have Dead or Alive 2, 3 and 4 backward compatible on Xbox One and Series for so many years, until Tecmo / Team Ninja renewed their contract with Aerosmith (or whichever label). All because of one Aerosmith song in the intro and the main ending of DOA4 (iirc).

Re: Tekken 8 On Switch 2 Would Be "A Lot Of Work", But Director Isn't Ruling It Out

Sindayl

@kal_el_07241 Every Xbox Series X game is also available on Xbox Series S. Keep in mind that, in the case of the Switch 2, people often use Street Fighter 6 as an example of how well it can run games compared to the Series S but it’s a notoriously bad port on the S and Capcom never bothered to fix it, even though it should run much better considering the raw power of the system.

Re: Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Free Title Update Now Live On Switch And Switch 2

Sindayl

That’s great news, although it’s unfortunate that the physical editions didn’t come with these additions from the start. Same for VS mode and 2x resolution.

I love this collection so much. Filters are for once pretty good considering that most of these games were natively 480p and not 480i or 240p. The Saturn version of Street Fighter Zero 3 remains still a bit more reactive imo.

Re: Octopath 0 Is A Game-Key Card On Switch 2, And Square Enix Has "No Plans" For A Switch 1 Upgrade Option

Sindayl

On Xbox, you buy one damn game, even a physical copy and boom, you get Xbox Ones and Series versions like it’s no big deal. Four (three on physical) freaking versions in one go. Why is it so hard to just do the same on Switch 2?

Well… We all know why. Microsoft’s the underdog, they have to be nice. Nintendo? They’re riding high and couldn’t care less about their consumers. And Square? Please. No pressure from Nintendo, no motivation, just vibes and cash grabs.

So yeah, I’ll grab the physical Switch 1 version when it’s like 25 bucks and pretend I’m not being robbed in broad daylight for a mobile game port.

Re: Sony Acquires 2.5% Stake In Bandai Namco As Part Of New "Strategic Partnership"

Sindayl

@Questionable_Duck Yeah this is great and really surprising news, considering that sony’s strategy has always been to lock everything away from competitors. But I won’t hold my breath until I see at least a AA or AAA first party title released on Xbox.

I think they’d be more likely to release games on the Switch 2 (which they actually have…) since they seem to consider Xbox their direct competitor more than Nintendo… allegedly.

Re: Sony Acquires 2.5% Stake In Bandai Namco As Part Of New "Strategic Partnership"

Sindayl

@JohnnyMind Microsoft is now releasing its first party titles everywhere. You can bet sony would never do that after acquiring studios. They’ve been buying up studios for 30 years and everything has remained locked to PS. MS just caught up by acquiring a bunch all at once.

Nobody seems to connect the dots between Sony buying EVO and their intention to prevent the fighting game community from returning to Xbox (well it won’t happen anyway now…) which is exactly what happened right after the Xbox 360 era before sony’s Street Fighter V deal shifted everything.

Owning EVO helps them solidify PlayStation as the official platform for competitive fighting games. Now, with increased influence over Namco (a big fighting game dev), they’ll likely gain even more influence through parity deals that prevent other systems (including the very popular Switch 2) from having better input lag, higher resolution, improved performance or exclusive features. They’ve done this before, like with Tekken 7 where a deal reportedly blocked an Xbox One X update.

Re: Nintendo Is Seeking Player Feedback On Game-Key Cards In Japan

Sindayl

I didn’t buy two of the games on the list simply because they were keycard versions. I either buy full-price physical copies or (very) discounted digital ones.

I’ll wait until Bravely Default is like 15$ digitally… even though I would’ve paid 50$ for a proper physical version with the full remaster datas on it…

Re: Switch Port Experts Share Thoughts About Switch 2's "Raw" Performance

Sindayl

@RasandeRose The first year of the Xbox One was actually pretty solid, with strong exclusives like Killer Instinct (still one of my favorite fighters), Sunset Overdrive, Titanfall, Dead Rising 3 (my fav in the series), Forza Horizon 2 and the Halo 2 remaster in The Master Chief Collection.

A bit later, in 2016, Quantum Break came out, one of the most underrated games of the gen imo. The story was fascinating and critics didn’t give it enough credit.

Back then, people were obsessed with “Xbox One suxx can’t even do 1080p lol lol” while now nobody cares about resolution anymore. What a dumb generation that was…
