Re: PSA: Switch 2's "GameChat Welcome Offer" Ends This Month, Try It Out For Free While You Still Can

Sindayl

@Snackidee That might have been laggy in the ’90s but not in 2026… Have you never had a Zoom call with 15 coworkers? And if you play in fullscreen, you can’t see your friends anymore unless the game handles all four camera feeds (including yours) by itself. They should’ve just given us the option to overlay them on top of the fullscreen window. Nintendo… eyeroll

Re: PSA: Switch 2 Update Adds Handheld Mode Boost, Here's How To Use It

Sindayl

This is so… not Nintendo I’m honestly in shock haha! It’s the feature I’ve been asking for since day one.

However, there is a slight loss in the performance boost we had when playing Switch 1 games on the Switch 2 in handheld mode. Games that benefited from the performance boost are still running better but slightly less so. In Bakeru, Redout II or Saints Row IV, you can notice occasional frame drops, whereas they were completely gone when playing on the Switch 2 in default handheld mode before.

The fact that we can’t manually disable this feature for certain games is a bit annoying because I won’t be able to play Taiko no Tatsujin using the touchscreen anymore.

Great update though.

Re: Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Gets A Switch 2 Release, Free Upgrade "Coming Soon"

Sindayl

@NoodleWad It’s been more than a year now and the issue is still present in this new update. I just checked.

The original digital camera was set to inverted (just like in the original games) but after an update, setting the general camera to inverted in the options now makes the original digital camera (d-pad + L) non-inverted, while the right stick analog camera becomes inverted, which is completely illogical and asymmetrical.

For people who play with the inverted camera and use both (the digital camera for detailed views and the analog camera for general movement while running), it’s completely mind‑breaking.

For some reason, this issue never appeared after updates in the second IV V VI trilogy..

They could easily separate the two cameras in the options, allowing each to be set independently, which would solve the problem. I just don’t get it.

For me, the only way to play the first remastered trilogy properly is to stick to the unpatched physical version, which didn’t have this issue at first.

@TopazLink 100% agree! They broke the camera axis for players who use the inverted camera in an update and never fixed it.

I’ve read advice from inverted camera players saying that the only way to ensure that both the D-pad and the right stick behave the same way (with the Y axis inverted) is to play the physical version of the game without updating it, so I got it.

I don’t understand why they don’t fix this. It seems like changing a couple of variable in the game’s source code…

Re: Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen Switch Update Censors Naughty And Offensive Names

Sindayl

OoOooOoOoOoh, HENCE WHY it costs 20 bucks! All that HARD WORK just to code the censorship. Totally worth it…

Meanwhile, during all this time, fans have been fixing the flaws in the original versions, while Nintendo didn’t fix anything except that censorship… in an offline game.

Nintendo, I love you so much. Take my money please. NO, take my bank account. This is my code. Do whatever you want 🥰

Re: Yes, Ecco The Dolphin's Remaster Will Probably Make A Splash On Switch

Sindayl

@Sketcz Well… 😅 I absolutely hate the Genesis soundtrack haha and I think the SEGA CD version turns these 2 rather creepy games into almost relaxing ones. I actually rediscovered the games thanks to the SEGA CD. Since it’s a remaster, they’ll probably be recoding a big part of it anyway, so switching the soundtrack shouldn’t be an issue, I guess

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Mario Tennis Fever

Sindayl

@StewdaMegaManNerd lol nope… we mostly agree that Nintendo should let people buy their games at a lower price after two years, just like Xbox, Sony, Ubisoft, EA and all the others do.

Nintendo’s habit of not lowering game prices after a few years makes buying older first party titles even more frustrating later.

At least there’s the second hand market… if you don’t mind crusty boxes covered in dried boogers… for 40 bucks. 😑

When any non-Nintendo game releases at 70 bucks I don’t really mind because I know that it’s gonna get much cheaper later. With Nintendo ? Never.

Re: Tales Of Arise - Switch 2 Performance And Resolution Revealed

Sindayl

@kmtrain83 Because I know that my physical Xbox discs will still work on any Xbox in 30 years without needing an internet connection (Xbox doesn’t NEED internet to play, that’s a myth). It’s psychological but I feel like I actually own the data (even if legally they say that’s not the case, good luck coming to my place and taking it off my shelf 😏).

Tons of games work perfectly well without a day one patch, including Tales of Arise. I always try my games without the day one patch first, just to check

Re: Tales Of Arise - Switch 2 Performance And Resolution Revealed

Sindayl

Do they even use DLSS though?

I don’t see that many Japanese games supporting it, even though it works wonders at artificially enhancing resolution. Games like Star Wars or Street Fighter 6 run at a relatively low native resolution and are then upscaled to HD or 1440p while maintaining a stable framerate.

Since it’s just a stupid keycard, I’m going to stick with the physical Xbox version.
