I have no plans to buy a PS4 or Xbox, so I was thrilled this came to Switch. Maybe the graphics aren’t as good. But I have no idea what I’m missing. I’m loving this game nearly as much as BoTW (maybe more in some ways?...) and that is my highest praise. It’s really great on Switch!
I think it is very unlikely for Nintendo to hold a direct amidst the COVID-19 coronavirus problems. The last time there was a natural disaster (like a hurricane or something?) the also delayed their direct. It’s disappointing, but at least tasteful and thoughtful.
Nintendo has always been what kept me gaming. I missed the Wii U and all last gen games. So Witcher 3 coming to Switch was a dream come true. I’m 70-80 hours deep into it now, and if another version looks better, I’m none the wiser, and don’t really care. I’d love if more of the great games I missed (or new releases) keep coming to Switch. I’ll keep buying. I’ve spent more on games this year than in the past 10.
I don’t really see how Xenogears is directly connected to Xenosaga. Besides the “Xeno” there was very little in common. For starters, Xenogears was excellent.
I’d never played it, but always heard good things. I’m so happy it came to Switch because it’s my only game system. It’s somewhere between BotW and Skyrim in terms of gameplay, but the story is incredible. Controls are a little awkward keeping it from BotW greatness. Still, I am loving it!!
Took a break DQXI to play Witcher 3 for the first time. Wow! It’s as amazing as everyone says. Plus I love having it all on one cartridge. I’m now a fan of CD Project Red
@Zuljaras I understand you are defensive. But that's rather heartless for you to say that so bluntly. As a parent, I've learned it's really hard to judge parenting — because it's a really really tough job. I'm sure these people are not terribly parents for letting their kids play a video game. Plus, please consider your position... you are prioritizing a corporation over other human beings. Are you sure that's how you feel?
@Zeldafan79 I see what you mean, but for Harry Potter it’d a problem if major story beats were spoiled before fans were officially allowed to read it for themselves. Witcher 3 is less of a problem. But in the end it’s bad business because it’s unpredictable. Companies want to be in control of their own products.
@Synthatron_Prime that’s cool, to each their own. But recently I feel like English voice acting is far superior to Japanese. At least it was in Octopath Traveler and Fire Emblem. (Just to qualify this statement, I speak Japanese fluently, live in Japan for 14 years, and use it daily in a professional basis.) The English voice actors bring a lot of personality to the roles. The Japanese stick to tropes and archetypes too much imo.
I love LABO VR. It’s a wonderful party favor. I’ve had friends from all walks of life equally blown away by the Elephant paintings and VR videos included. I mean, if you can accept it for what it is, and not wish it were something else, there is a mountain of joy there.
World of Light was actually pretty fun once you accept it’s not “competitive” Smash. Instead it’s fun to cheeze the system and look for ways to utilize spirits to overcome. (My favorite is starting the battle with a “Big” power-up, like from a Super Mushroom, and then attach spirits that extend the time of transformation. So fun to just crush everything like that.)
PLUS! defeating WoL is the only way to unlock Menu music options, so you can have classic Melee and Brawl music in the Menus. Well worth the effort! But now, I couldn’t care less about Spirits...
@Rubbercookie I like your attitude. Thanks for not scolding me for venting my frustration online. Maybe you’re right? @brunojenso Thank you for the tip! It’s true I’ve found some good ones too. I’m not sure why I’m so salty. I think I was just expecting something different which is kind of my own fault. Thanks for sharing some good stages!
Man, Mario Maker 2 is such a joke. I regret buying it. All the levels are just troll-y time sinks. The story mode is OK, but the editor is way too simplistic, and only murder machine garbage levels like this get attention online. I wish I didn’t buy this game.
Is anyone else not enjoying MM2? The level editor is way too restrictive, and even the popular levels online are like troll-y and watered down versions of a real Mario game. This is the forst Switch game I regret buying.
@the_beaver I picked up L.A. Noire when it came to Switch as a kind of offering for them to bring more. But sadly, I don’t think L.A. Noire sold so well on Switch?
Let them have their moment. It’s backed up by data, and I thinknit’s a great sign. I love Nintendo, but I definitely missed the AAA “mature” titles during Wii and Wii U. I love that Bethesda is a strong supporter!
@SalvorHardin I totally agree with you. I even thought about making a second post about that! 😝 Smash balls kind of suck. They really hurt the flow of the game. Even for “casual” matches. Nintendo and “blue shells” huh?
I like their rule set. I know it’s not the “competitive” standard. But I like the occassional item from time to time. I wonder if any big names will compete for the glory.
I don’t think the point of the rule is to “censor history” or avoid that truth. Germany is very diligent about acknowledging this darkest of spots on their history. I believe this law is meant to prevent neo-nazi’s or others from trying to popularize, normalize, or make nazi’s fashionable. Luckily for Wolfenstein it’s very anti-nazi. If it were more “grey” then it probably would be forced to be censored.
@nkarafo you know... the Child of Light music is played immediately after the Shovel Knoght reveal... it doesn’t seem inpossible they are teasing a similar cross-over? Could be we get Aurora as a playable character in Bloodstained... 🤔
@nocdaes I’d think twice about Wargroove... I kind of regret my purchase. It’s fun when you’re winning, but the gameplay is more like a puzzle. One mistake and you can’t really pull back the victory. Plus matches take soooo long. But that’s just my take. If you get it, I hope you love it!
@Rpg-lover thank you for shouting out. I am so stoked. My initial impression of Witcher wasn’t good. I thought it looked like another cheap fantasy game. But daaaaaaa**mn the more I see of Witcher the more I am all about this game. The dialogue is all so good. Can’t wait, man!
That is so cool. As fans, even with completely different experiences of that time, his balanced words have a ring of truth that evokes a nostalgia for that point in history. He did an excellent job of conveying that time, neh.

Re: GungHo Threatens To Ban And Suspend Players For "Unsportsmanlike Behavior" In Ninjala
Sounds like bad game design. Rather than draconian measures the game should be balanced to reward and punish certain behaviors naturally, somehow.

I’m so disappointed with Mario Maker 2. I’m afraid I got carried away with all the hype. It’s the game I most regret buying.

Re: Fight Like Byleth In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Upcoming Tournament
I love playing Byleth. But I do feel like they are a little too strong.
Re: Video: Let's Talk About Byleth In Smash Bros. And The Fourth House In Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Honestly none of the DLC characters yet have been anyone I was excited about, until now. I was really excited to see Byleth join!
Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Smash Bros. Ultimate Challenger 5?
None of the previous DLC fighters were from games I cared about. So to finally get one from a game I love is fantastic!
Re: Smash Bros. Ultimate Pays Tribute To GameCube Classic Melee With Limited-Time Tournament
Yay, these tournaments are super fun. It’s nice way to have some variety gameplay. It feels like everyone in Quickplay just wants to play 1-on-1
