@batmanbud2 aged great. Original is on the switch online app basic package that seems to come with the system now/is 20 bucks a year and gets you the ability to play switch games online as well as a boatload of other NES, Game Boy (Color), and SNES games.

If you don’t want to spend extra money on the remake, don’t. The original is exceedingly playable and available.

Re: Random: Nintendo Considered Some Bananas Names For DK, Including "Kong Dong"

Bit more: Universal Pictures sued Nintendo in like 83 because they had the vhs rights to King Kong, as well as got payouts from consoles with licensed DK games like at the time.

But years before that the production team on King Kong sued Universal for the rights and their lawyers in that case argued King Kong was public domain.

So Universal lost, had to pay Nintendo and pay back Coleco. Buuut, during the case, Universal released “Tiger Kong” which was a ripoff of Donkey Kong, and had to pay more.

And finally, the origin of the name according to Nintendo is “Stubborn Gorilla” was looked up in a thesaurus.
