Re: Talking Point: The Problem With The X Button

How would the buttons switched on dreamcast matter for deaths in sonic adventure. A and B both jumped, didn’t they? It’s been a while. I know Knuckles could punch and tails had his little spin and Gamma shot, and I’ve blocked Big’s gameplay from my memory.... but still pretty confident both A and B jumped. Did one do the lightspeed dash?

Re: Feature: The Brilliance Of Zelda: Oracle Of Ages & Seasons Forced Nintendo To Up Its Game

I got the pair used for five bucks each in college, and I beat Ages, but lost the copy of Seasons for a long enough period that Phantom Hourglass came out and I didn’t think about it when I found it.

Then they were on 3ds eshop for again, five bucks each. Hell, I think one might have been a club nintendo “game of the month” points reward. With the passwords system being able to be kept by notes on the 3ds, I was more motivated and beat both and the joint endgame.

It was a lot of fun. Irene the witch was a fun side character, as was Ralph the rival hero. Plus the mounts were cool, and I love subrosans (and while bemoaning portable zelda species and characters that never jumped to consoles: Anouki as a species, and Byrne. Byrne really made Spirit Tracks).

I’d recommend em. Specifically on 3ds eshop. Where they are convenient, available, and amazing.

Screw consensus, top 10 list of zelda games in order of “fun I had with them”:

10) Minish Cap
9) Ocarina of Time
8) Zelda 1
7) Oracles of ages/seasons
6) Wind Waker
5) Minish Cap
4) Breath of the Wild
3) Twilight Princess
2) Link to the Past
1) Four Sword Adventures

Also, I enjoyed Triforce Heroes. It’s a shame it gets such a raw deal.

Re: Nintendo Cancelled Star Fox TV Show After Netflix Leaked Legend Of Zelda Plans

@JohnnyC It’s less “watching with” and more “reading with”, but you can probably get a good couple of weeks of bedtime reading in an all ages fantasy setting with Jeff Smith’s “Bone” series. All now in a convenient one volume edition.*

*when I say all ages, I mean about as much “all ages” as say an old rankin/bass cartoon. Characters may smoke. Characters may hit each other. There are scary looking nightmare fuel for five year olds character designs. Maybe read it over before sharing, but it is pretty dang harmless and great for all ages.

Nintendo:

Well, with star fox zero we have jim henson puppets on the characters like they’re themed after thunderbirds shows perfectly. We also made this really cool anime short movie intro that people like.

Let’s make our netflix series based on a college humor short parodying a wes anderson cartoon!

Wait... I feel we probably made the wrong choice.

They spilled the beans about us talking about a zelda show? Abort everything!

Re: Nintendo's Dragalia Lost Is Teaming Up With Persona For A Special In-Game Event

It’s been a couple of moons, but I like Dragalia Lost. Was definitely more fun with Mega Man because even for his weapon type, his playstyle is so unique. I’ll probably get Joker and see what he does.

I Would like the game ported to switch directly. Yes, a non-gacha sequel that uses the lore and characters and keeps the gauntlet style gameplay would be nice too, but I’d like a direct, corresponds to your nintendo account port.

Controller controls would be a cinch to map. And it’s not like you’d be the first mobile game on switch. If you throw in: Local multiplayer through the story mode, I’ll pay five for it. Enough guaranteed five star heroes and dragons, along with special character based side missions with permanent access (even if you only unlock the characters by beating the side missions) and the promise to be able to buff them to competitive level completely offline (and still local multiplayer as well as online with randoms/friends)? I’ll give you twenty.

There’s my offers, Dragalia Lost team.
