Re: Talking Point: As A Nintendo Fan, Do You Really Need To Play The Virtual Boy?

Roam85

If Punch Out is your favorite Nintendo series, and you’ve already played the arcades and snes… you should play Teleroboxer.

If Wario Land is your favorite series, and you played all the others and it’s between wario land vb and master of disguise, play vb.

If Mario Bros original arcade version is a great time for you and you already played Punch Ball Mario Bros, you should play mario clash.

And if you really like old Nintendo Power, you should play Nester’s Funky Bowling.

I’m done here

Re: Feature: So, Which Zelda Games Aren't On Switch Yet?

Four Sword Adventures does top my list for best zelda game.

It came out when I was in college, I preferred 2d zelda over 3d, and I had enough link cables and gbas between me and my friends we worked four player gaming.

Played with a full party from start to finish, it was the most fun zelda experience I ever had.

@Anti-Matter you’re comparing apples and oranges.

One is a “sport” in that it’s a competition based on athleticism and skill.

One is a “sport” insofar that the performers are clearly athletes and athleticism and skill is required to do extensive improvised fight choreography at this level so we must call these men and women athletes because they take offense at being viewed as actors (yet ren faire jousters who literally knock each other off moving horses don’t…)

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Scarlet And Violet?

Roam85

They released an unfinished game. Because the majority of the current jank is going to be patched out inevitably. But it’s there. It hasn’t been patched out. It doesn’t really affect gameplay in any material capacity… but it is there. And the gameplay is good. The gameplay actually gives me almost exactly what I’m looking for. (Getting too cocky with levels can wind you up underleveled fast), interesting enough areas, characters seem alright enough, especially for pokemon (I went Scarlet). I gave it an 8 so far, but I’m also only after my first gym/titan/starfall (did one of each). “Too little water.” - I think the geography on the world map is seriously lacking islands and I’m too used to islands in pokemon to accept this change. Though if like Gen 8, DLC very well might be an island.

Re: Feature: What's Your Biggest Nintendo Launch Day Regret?

Roam85

I waited before getting a wii u and 3ds… so no regrets there. Waiting overnight for the wii launch playing DS games with my buddies was a blast…. No real launch day regrets. I mean I’m still annoyed my buddies never got into triforce heroes or splatoon with me… or splatoon 2. But they say they’re up for splatoon 3, I just feel like charlie brown kicking a football.
