Re: No Switch 2 "Upgrade Path" For Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined Planned

@kmtrain83 Purchasing the game encourages them to continue with these scummy practices. By boycotting the game, you’re saying, no, I don’t accept this as a good way of doing business.

If you don’t care, that’s fine. I won’t be buying a SE game for the foreseeable future unless something changes (full physical release for S2 or upgrade path options).

Re: Rumour: Sony Is Gunning For The Switch 2 With A Handheld, Dockable PS6

Will be interesting to see where the world is whenever this thing launches. IMO, the OS has never been Sony's strong suit. Their exclusive games are great, but their interfaces leave much to be desired. Also, what kind of physical game backward compatibility could anyone expect out of this setup? There's no way it has a disc drive. MS is in the same boat with their supposed handheld. Hell, they won't even let me upgrade my copy of Gears of War 1 Remastered from disc, despite their push of smart delivery earlier in the Series' lifecycle.

Nintendo also has the benefit of being in the second generation of a device that defined the previous one, where the majority of the library is compatible.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Indie World Showcase Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?

I think it’s possible we will get a S2 shadow drop of Hades 2, although it could easily show up in a similar fashion during a full Direct next month (if there is one).

I’d like to see updates to existing indies that would benefit from the beefier S2 hardware.

I don’t think Silksong is there. I still expect any new news about it at GamesCom during an Xbox event. I think it’s a mid November release.

Would love to see a lot of “new” indie games make their way to S2. Stuff like Blue Prince and other games that seem to be skipping S1, such as Mini Shoot Adventures.

I’m sorry, but just because someone used to work for Nintendo doesn’t mean you need to cover every thing they say. The headline made this sound like it was Reggie—someone with a bit more credibility, despite him also leaving Nintendo years ago.

You could apply every word here to any game on any platform. Sony isn’t exactly prolific at putting out games—they bet on a bunch of titles that have flopped or were cancelled. Microsoft had to buy the biggest third party publisher to shore up their games division, and now most of their games aren’t exclusive anymore.

I would expect to see the next mainline 3D Mario game in the next two years.
