@hisownsidekick They have? They always seem to report that games sold below their expectations, including the most recent Final Fantasy titles, which is why they’re putting them everywhere now instead of being exclusive to PlayStation.
@kmtrain83 Purchasing the game encourages them to continue with these scummy practices. By boycotting the game, you’re saying, no, I don’t accept this as a good way of doing business.
If you don’t care, that’s fine. I won’t be buying a SE game for the foreseeable future unless something changes (full physical release for S2 or upgrade path options).
It's nice that they put this out a couple months after the game so it's still relatively fresh, not six months to a year later, but... where is the MKW DLC/new content?
There's a lot to like about this game and how they're selling it on Switch ($60+Season Pass is a fair price). It's tempting, but the download is listed as 20.2 GBs, so for $10 more could this have been an actual Game Card and would it sell better?
Assuming a demo is a near final build… why? It’s a GKC release, and it’s probably the same demo they’ve used before. Building a demo takes time, resources, etc.
Will be interesting to see where the world is whenever this thing launches. IMO, the OS has never been Sony's strong suit. Their exclusive games are great, but their interfaces leave much to be desired. Also, what kind of physical game backward compatibility could anyone expect out of this setup? There's no way it has a disc drive. MS is in the same boat with their supposed handheld. Hell, they won't even let me upgrade my copy of Gears of War 1 Remastered from disc, despite their push of smart delivery earlier in the Series' lifecycle.
Nintendo also has the benefit of being in the second generation of a device that defined the previous one, where the majority of the library is compatible.
@Razzy I’m asking if they were ever in this version of the game, or if you’re just complaining because the music isn’t one to one due to them not getting every last license this time around.
@Razzy did they remove them, or were they licensed in the previous versions on PS2 and unable to/unwilling to pay more to secure the license again for this remastered version?
No, they’re not targeting the people who are learning to crawl and talk and need you to change their diapers. They’re targeting YOU, the one taking care of the newborn, who looks at this and thinks, yeah, this will be perfect for my kid.
I think it’s possible we will get a S2 shadow drop of Hades 2, although it could easily show up in a similar fashion during a full Direct next month (if there is one).
I’d like to see updates to existing indies that would benefit from the beefier S2 hardware.
I don’t think Silksong is there. I still expect any new news about it at GamesCom during an Xbox event. I think it’s a mid November release.
Would love to see a lot of “new” indie games make their way to S2. Stuff like Blue Prince and other games that seem to be skipping S1, such as Mini Shoot Adventures.
@burndive HL is $10 for a fully digital version of the game. Unless you’re currently on Switch 1, there’s little difference between buying the GKC and the $10 upgrade for HL since you end up storing the entire game on your console (except being able to resell the GKC).
@ZombAid82 Whenever I find someone whose comments are constantly obnoxious, I just hit the ignore button and move on. There’s no need to respond to them.
I’m not in Japan, but they sent me a survey for upgrading HP and I told them GKC were terrible and I wouldn’t buy any of them and I hope no one else does either.
Coming from an OLED and playing the S2, I can’t say I noticed. Maybe I’m fooling myself, maybe I can’t see the difference… whichever the case, I’m overall satisfied with the screen.
I’d rather have a larger internal hard drive. Like twice the size. And yes, the supplied cables are shorter than they should be.
I don’t get why publishers don’t put the equivalent of a kickstarter together to gauge interest and sell the full game on the cart at full price. If it’s a limited production, so be it, but give me the opportunity to buy a physical copy that has the game on the cartridge so I’m not the one worrying about storage or anything else.
I’m sorry, but just because someone used to work for Nintendo doesn’t mean you need to cover every thing they say. The headline made this sound like it was Reggie—someone with a bit more credibility, despite him also leaving Nintendo years ago.
You could apply every word here to any game on any platform. Sony isn’t exactly prolific at putting out games—they bet on a bunch of titles that have flopped or were cancelled. Microsoft had to buy the biggest third party publisher to shore up their games division, and now most of their games aren’t exclusive anymore.
I would expect to see the next mainline 3D Mario game in the next two years.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct September Predictions - What Do You Hope To See?
Well, I was right, and this poll missed bigly on most of the games.
Re: The Entire Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy Is Making Its Way To Switch 2
Gonna need an entire Micro SD Express cards for those three games alone.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2 Prices Are Live, And It's Sticker Shock Time
I already own Galaxy physical on Switch, but the only way to buy G2 on Switch (physically) is a bundle. Lame.
Those TP WW bundles next year will be $80...
Re: Final Fantasy 7 Remake For Switch 2 Slips Into 2026, Game-Key Card Confirmed
Is this the largest game currently announced for Switch 2? 90GB is massive.

fun fact: for a movie file, the FPS doesn’t add anything to the file size.

Put it on a cart with a mandatory install, then.

Re: 007 First Light Is More That Just Spies And Style, Launches March 2026 On Switch 2
@SplatRay001 no, they got the pricing wrong. $80 is only for the DE, the regular game is $70.

Whelp, definitely not going to be there day one.

Re: First Footage Of Elden Ring Running On Switch 2 Appears Online

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The Switch 2 Upgrade For Kirby And The Forgotten Land?
Played through the base game recently, and I’ve had my fill of Kirby. I doubt the new content is worth $20.

Re: Hands On: Forget The Name, Square Enix's New Action RPG Is A Lovely HD-2D Take On SNES-Era Zelda
@PinderSchloss it’s not. You can dodge by moving out of the way, or hold up your shield, or time the shield to “parry” the attack.

@Markatron84 Wonder is way too easy (outside of a few levels), and far less memorable, than Super Mario World.

Fallout 3 and NV.
Revealing these titles in an upcoming Direct is possible, but just as likely is them being announced at something like GamesCom.
Re: Square Enix Rules Out Switch 2 "Upgrade Path" For Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake
Nintendo shouldn’t allow them to do that. SE giving the middle finger to everyone

Day one purchase, and expect it will release around the same time the first one did when it came to Switch.
Re: Poll: Has Your Switch 2's Screen Got Any Nasty Scratches Yet?
No. It’s called a screen protector for a reason. Spend $10 and get one.
