Probably the most impressive thing in the direct for me. New IP is where it's at. I don't need another remaster of something I've already played.

I'd be happy if all these predictions were correct. However, saying "wildcard" or "mystery game" is pretty lazy when it comes to predictions.

I don't want a Switch mini. If anything, I want a Switch Plus. Moar power!! You've already accomplished the AAA experience in a mobile setting. Time to focus more on the AAA and less on the mobile.

The waterfall of game announcements has certainly subsided a bit.

@Quincy Civ VI is a very well made port, and if you will be hard pressed to find a deeper strategy game anywhere. That being said, I think it works better on PC than console. Still, I'm enjoying it on Switch and reccomend it.

With Civ VI and Into the Breach already in my library, I was really looking for every excuse to skip this. Oh well... * signs into eshop *

I really enjoyed X as the last true turn-based offering in the franchise, but I probably won't go back to it. I've heard good things about XII. Will need to check it out.

Just hit winter in Stardew Valley, so feeling pretty good about the timing. Also, will probably revisit some of the snow courses in Golf Story. Definitely worth another go around.

Smash and Civ VI

Wondered for a long time where this game went. Then Into the Breach came to Switch. Now this is more of a wait-and-see title for me.

Both. Generally physical if it takes up a lot of storage. Otherwise digital.

The update hit on the 25th anniversary of the original game, if I'm not mistaken. I was excited to hear about the patch on NL, so I fired the game up, and noticed zero discernible difference. Still a great port, but the patch was much ado about nothing.

Not sure why anyone would buy this for the Switch when the mobile version works just fine. Buttons aren't a huge boon when it comes to this game.

Cool idea! The video didn't really sell me though. Looks low budget, which I guess is all $20 is going to get you.

Coming back to D3 after a long break on PC. What's really great about this version is that hardcore mode is much more viable since lag is no longer an issue. Every free waking moment that I've had (which isn't much honestly) I've spent leveling up my Barb and Necromancer.

Remove all depictions of cowboys, army troops, pirates, and whatever historical fill-in-the-blank you can think of. I find it offensive. Those depictions do not represent my people.

See how easy that was? Please bring back common sense.

I've owned the previous 3 Civ games on PC, and I never played any of them online. This kind of game isn't really built for that anyway. When really good Civ players stream, they're usually playing single-player on insane difficulty and picking up huge scores.

This news has zero impact on my purchasing decision.
