Diablooooooo
D I A B L O III of course!
No SSBU weekend beta huh? Bummer.
Oh well, maybe they'll still announce it in another hour.
There's some great Google Translate at work in the CricktoGame description. Not sure I want to be taken to new entertainment fees...
When's arcade archives konami coming to switch, or R-type, or Guilty Gear?
Diablo III is my Switch Game of the Year!
I’ve pretty much always dreamed of playing a game as an odd-eyed black cat caught on this casual thought and was cursed to be a cat only at night, so Kitty Love for me. Obviously.
Definitely getting Diablo III, Moonlighter, and the World of Final Fantasy Maxima this month.
Diablo. It’s technically already downloaded. Just waiting for the gates to open.
This will mark my 6th year and 4th platform with this game, and I’m still hyped. Never imagined I’d see a portable version.
Interested in Moonlighter. My family would probably appreciate Wheel of Fortune. There's something about interactive hangman that's appealing. Jeopardy could be interesting as well, but trivia games tend to become dated more quickly.
Why do the NA listings always list last week's ACA NeoGeo instead of this week's?
This week's is Pleasure Goal : 5-on-5 Futsal.
I was hoping for Phantasy Star.
Another interesting, assorted week. Time to BBRP (Buy, Backlog, Rent, Pass):
Diablo III: Eternal Collection — I will rent this as I want to at least experience what all the noise was, and apparently still is, about this game.
Jeopardy! & Wheel of Fortune — These actually interests me from a family and friends perspective as well as online. I'll backlog this for now, but I have a feeling these will get a physical release (if they haven't already).
Moonlighter — Imma read the review on this as it's always interested me, but I've never cared about stocking a store. I "might" get backlogged.
SkyTime — Like the plot, but I dunno about the game otherwise. Could be a backlog, but it'll be a pass until I do more research.
Startide — I saw this on the eShop and it looks intriguing at least. I will need to see a review, so a pass for now.
The Shapeshifting Detective — Backlogged along with the other FMV games I have yet to get lol.
Transistor — I will buy this when it goes on sale and is backlogged for sure. I just wish I could feel the same for Bastion as they are both heralded as good games.
World of Final Fantasy MAXIMA — There's information about this game everywhere... but I guess I was under a rock as I know next to nothing about this or even know if it intrigues me. I will do my research, but it'll be a pass for the moment.
Machinarium is a wonderful game... that never dies apparently... I wonder if some of the frustrating parts have been fixed/updated... and if the graphics, aspect ratio, controls, etc have been modernized?
Diablo for me it is!
Transistor for me. I’ll do Moonlighter at a later date
Diablo 3 will undoubtedly unseat BotW for most hours logged on my machine. My body is ready.
the description of one of the games is confusing
World of Final Fantasy........it made it seem more like Pokemon: Final Fantasy Region (type of game)
is it some kind of clone ???
@Reignmaker
hours wise, i think Diablo will be tied for Skyrim in my case
I was interested in revisiting Lego Harry Potter but it's $50. It's $20 on PS4 so I bought it on there.
Machinarium, folks – get it!
@GameOtaku Yup. I want Rtype Dimensions in a bad way. I’d like to know its arrival too.
Diablo and maybe Moonlighter if I need a change of pace.
Geez I need a money tree. So many games... and now smash is going to cost me a truck load. Kinda wish I held off AC:Sparta and Soul calibur... maybe...kinda.
GRIP is coming! Actually will be picking up a physical copy at GameStop. Banking hard this will satisfy my arcade racing itch!
Does anyone know what time we will be able to play Diablo 3? I am in New Zealand and it’s already been the 2nd of November for 6 hours.... if I sound desperate it’s because I am 🙂
OWW MYY GAADDD !
Amiibo Diablo III just announced ! Horrible ! o_O
https://nintendosoup.com/loot-goblin-amiibo-announced-for-diablo-iii-eternal-collection/
Ubisoft is doing such a wonderful job supporting the Switch. :/
is World of Final Fantasy Maxima an enhance version ? is have it on the ps vita, but yet to play it. It my next game on the Vita once I complete Rainbow Skies. But if a better version, I may consider picking it up on the Switch instead.
Diablo III, but physical!
@idrawrobots I know! Starlink, MR Kingdom, South Park 1/2, Rayman, Brawlhalla, Child of Light, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Risk, so much stuff!
Oh, you were being sarcastic....
@HobbitGamer you forgot Assassin's Creed. Ubisoft isn't really the company for me. I enjoyed Division and the last game before that, that I played was Red Steel 2.
@idrawrobots Eh, I don't really count AC since it's not so much support as an experiment
Red Steel 1/2 were pretty fun. And a few first Rabbid games.
Switch already has more Ubisoft games on it than WiiU did, though.
Poll needs an option for people who won't download something because they're getting the retail copy.
A lot of nothing... If I only had a Switch I would be saving lots of cash on games🤔
Also, StarLink announced for $40 at Target Black Friday Sale.
Diablo 3 for me. To add to the backlog. lol
Diablo 3
World of Final Fantasy
Transistor
GRIP
Switch is punishing my wallet on a weekly basis. So many great games coming out for the system every single week, I'm going to have to start a separate direct deposit transfer into a new account just to pay for it all.
It's ridiculous how many quality games we're being inundated with for a portable system. I remember loving the 3DS library, even though the games weren't on the same level as the types of games that released on home consoles. But Switch is actually getting plenty of those full home console titles. Vita got one here and there (World of Final Fantasy, for example), but they were far and few between and extremely scaled down and without enough buttons (RE Revelations 2, looking at you, whereas the Switch version looks dang near as good as the Xbox One version, complete with motion controls and reload gestures and HD rumble and full HD portable play and full home console play, tabletop, no crazy save uploads needed... the benefits of being on Switch still impress me even today)
Keep em comin. Thank goodness Samsung's new 512gb micro SD is shipping out Nov 11th, cause I'm out of space.
@brendon987
Yes, it is. What's more, the additional content is not releasing for the Vita version. I got it on Vita too, as well as PS4 (because that's how you had to do it before the Switch existed- spend $100 on two copies of a game to get console/handheld, and still have to deal with separate save files) but I'll be replacing both of them with the Switch version shortly.
Tennis world tour, and carnival games. SIKE!
we didnt get night slashers yet because they hate americans.
not that i blame them.
i quite like the reputation weve earned.
oh well theres always next week
Got my copy of diablo early I guess. Thanks Best Buy
Bought World of FF Maxima and Diable 3. Might bite Startide later.
Just Jeopardy for me.
Full Metal Furies is amazing. Shame I bought it on the Xbox One.
@MeloMan Startide, it's on Steam and released 13 months ago, but only has 6 user reviews and thus, not enough to even give a general average rating from said reviews. The Google Translated English is also laughable. Some text from the description of one of your ships, "Special purpose mecha designed to be the best among assassins. Its mission is to keep distance and shoot the fleet command. Always adapting to the situation he could either flood the enemy under the rain of bullets or snipe his critical systems from the distance."
The gameplay from the trailer also doesn't invoke excitement, as whenever they show it, it's basically just fades in, then right back out. I see figurative red flags everywhere.
Wheel of fortune! YES, yes, yessity YES! I've waited 8 years for a new one on a Nintendo system! It's about time!!!! Buying instantly!
@Kilroy Thanks for the heads up. I knew there was something that didn't quite rub me right about it, so I'll leave it completely alone. Guess I'll just wait for Daemon x Machina for an above average Mech Switch game then.
@MeloMan Strike Suit Zero would be good
@Kilroy That works. I'll hit up my friends to get it for PS4 and play it there.
Did anyone else besides me download Taiko Drum Master?
@Wanjia it came out today and I just bought it
@JaxonH "I got it on Vita too, as well as PS4 (because that's how you had to do it before the Switch existed- spend $100 on two copies of a game to get console/handheld, and still have to deal with separate save files)"
The king of SwitchWorld has spoken. 😀 Can't believe that other guy didn't even thank you, that was rude.
Anyway I did a search of NL for WoFFM after my long comment in the forum and this was the last time it was mentioned on NL. Not even a single comment asking for a review, guess nobody cares, weird. Maybe if it was done in 8-bit it would get a write-up. 😂
@rjejr
Finally I feel like we're in complete agreement.
This site has a very large following of members, and what they are interested in is largely directed by what the site chooses to showcase. If the site acts like the game isn't worth even mentioning, then naturally people are going to assume the game isn't really worth a second glance, or first glance for that matter.
I'm really growing tired of the extreme focus on 8-bit and retro, while all but the biggest and most notable AA and AAA titles get mentioned, and when they do, they get consistently lower scores than the 8 bit and Indie games. Which, I'm not opposed to the idea that an indie game can be a masterpiece and that a bigger budget game can be mediocre, but it shouldn't be a systemic trend across the board.
Idk. So how's rjejr? I'm learning Calculus, for fun. Because that's how I roll. Always did love math and wanted to be a math teacher at one point. But given I dropped out in ninth grade and then dropped out of college before completing my trig class, I just never learned the material. So I found Professor Leonard on YouTube and have been going through his lectures, practicing and taking notes. Calculus is incredibly powerful. Finding the area under a curve blows my mind, and it's not even that hard to do... not really, all things considered. The concept of derivatives and integrals and limits just amazes me. It's a whole new field of math completely foreign to what I've learned. And I love that.
Been playing Diablo 3, and I'm surprised with how addictive and fun the game is. Tried it on PS4 a year or two ago but gave up on it fairly early. Playing on the switch is pretty awesome. Haven't really had a chance to get back to dark souls, and been a week or so since playing MHGU, but I did dive in to World of Final Fantasy and play for an hour or two. Also ordered two 512gb Samsung micro SD cards from Amazon UK, which is the only place you can buy them from at the moment. They'll be here Thursday. Going to have to delete every digital game that has a physical release just to ensure I can squeeze all my games on the main card. Will use the second card for all my digital copies of games I bought for convenience, and tuck it in the new plastic Nyko kickstand, which should be releasing soon I think.
@JaxonH You aren't supposed to like calculus, nobody likes calculus. Calculus was my downfall in college, I went from being a 95 average HS student, graduated top 10% of my 300+ student class, to a near failure in college as a computer science major b/c of calculus and physics based on calculus. Changed my major to sociology and graduated w/ a lame 2.8 GPA but I did will in grad school getting my Sociology MA. And now a stay-at-home dad for 17 years. If that ever changes I'll let ya know.
I played the WoFFM demo for about an hour. I liked almost everything about it except the random battles. I dont' think I can play random battle based games, my heart seems to skip a beat every time one comes up. Not literally, I'm nto dead yet, but I jerk a bit. I managed playing turned based DQXI for 110 hours, and still going, but I skipped the boat as much as possible. I may tell my kids to play ti though, they're young, their hearts can take it. And they like Pokemon so...
Gotta go, going to a karoake bar tonight for the first time. Not looking forward to it but it's gotta be better than calculus.
Oh, and we've agreed on plenty of stuff in the past, every time you admit I'm right.
